This is a huge resort with a long beautiful beach. The pools are huge! I walked from pool to pool and visited swim up bar after swim up bar. There is a mall, market, and many restaurants. The beach was my favorite. The beach is about a mile long and waters are calm compared to the other beaches that can be rough or have a strong current. The sea turtles will swim up to you. It has a huge kids area so it is great for families. My wife and I marked this trip as one of our best vacations.

This review written on April 10th 2018. Gave the beach 3 stars. Beach is covered with seaweed. On the edge of the water piles are about 6" to a foot thick. Of course there is plenty more in the water also. Water itself is not clear, but I imagine it has to do with the season. And then there are rocks in the water. As you enter the ocean you have to cross about 8-10 feet of rocks. After that it's mostly sand.

This is a beautiful and meticulously maintained resort. It's actually one of five resorts that's really more all one giant resort. If you reserve at The Palace you can use all five, but if you reserve at any of the other four, you can only use those four. Plenty of room and pools though, no matter where you reserve. The beaches and sand are very nice, and the tons of palm trees replace the need for any umbrellas, which are such a pain to set up on a beach. So that was a welcome switch from a typical beach stay. You don't get a sit-down restaurant dinner every day you stay, but rather a percentage of days. We got two dinner reservations for a five night stay for example. This was plenty, as we have children who actually prefer the buffet anyway. Plenty of choices to eat. We had a great time, as this was our first time in Mexico. If I had to nitpick, it would probably just be that you do a ton of walking here. But that's great to burn off all those calories! 😁

Best resort hotel for all inclusive in Mexico. Complex of 5 resorts on the beach. Many buffets and many more reservation restaurants. Excellent food. I got lobster and steak almost every other day. Very attentive service. Definitely will come back.

We had the absolute best time ever. The resort is so nice and clean. Everywhere I looked, I saw staff working. Our room was always clean and whoever cleaned it was doing very good job. Buffet had various food, very delicious and plenty. The entertainment stuff done very great job. Every one could choose what ever activity works the best. Serjio and his team has done great job.Kindly appreciated. And wonderful concerts in the evening time were a beautiful end to every day. Would like to go there again and again.

The rooms, food, drinks, and the resort in general was amazing. The resort was massive it took my kids and I a while to figure out where we were going. The rooms were very spacious. We got a king room and a queen room for the kids. Overall it was amazing and I highly recommend it!!😁

    Great resort!
They label themselves as a 4.5 stars and they are truly deserved.
The beaches are sandy and there are no rocks.
The buffets are amazing. We had mountains of lobster and crab during the sea food night!

No one was tipping which I found very strange but I made sure to tip the bartenders and the wait staff for their hard work and service!

    We will definitely be back!

Today's our last day and we are so sad to be leaving! Jet skiing was by far the best part of the trip, the beaches are so beautiful. Would recommend this place to anyone! The guy's who work here are amazing, especially Eric Laura Sergio and Andrea are amazing teachers for the kids!

The hotel itself really has authentic lobbies. Love the opened throughout the hotel. The rooms are good not great. The bathrooms just seem that they need some work. Staff has been nice and food has been okay not amazing. Overall would stay here again or recommend to other people.

The property is huge and there's lots to do. Rooms are fine. Beach has both sand sections where you can swim and rocky/coral sections where you can watch fish. Pools are clean and spacious. Sun lounges are abundant. Overall, people are so distributed that there are no crowds. Buffets are amazing. Kids get a lot of fun either with aqua sports (older ones with windsurfing, kayaking, catamarans, etc) or with water slides (smaller kids).

This was a very fun place to visit to also the entertainment staff were super fun and very amazing. Sergio was very entertaining and overall a good person to talk to because he would just make your day. Jonathan and jasmine were super encouraging during all the activities and made you feel very welcome. Overall I had a lot of fun because of the pool side entertainment crew. The food here is nice but very repetitive if you stay longer than a week also the people are nice and the staff gets the job done quickly.

Barcelo Maya is a great resort. Astonishingly big but scaled to feel appropriate at each location. Amazing beach. Great food selection at the buffet. Grounds are very well maintained. The staff are very welcoming and helpful.

The food is amazing and there is a lot of variety. The steakhouse restaurant is the best for reservation dinners and is difficult to get an early time. The resort is clean and the staff is friendly. The shows have been ok so far. Nothing spectacular. There are a lot of pools and bars to choose from. You just have to find one that makes the best drinks because they do differ. Checking out towels and sporting equipment is a little annoying because the checkout areas never seem to be close by. The adults only pool is very small and nothing goes on there. Pretty boring. The rooms are nothing special to look at but the beds are comfortable and the shower is nice with hot water that lasts. The beaches and water are beautiful and there a lot of hammocks to choose from which is nicr. There's so many resorts to choose from in Mexico and I've been to a few so I wouldn't say that I'd come back due to wanting to see what others offered but I can definitely say I'd recommend this place over a cruise any day!

3rd year in a row at this resort. Absolutely love it, everything is great, food, drinks, service 10/10! Make sure to go to the strikers sports bar while down there and ask for Saul, he's the best bartender you'll ever meet. Ask Saul for his special shot, you won't regret it!

This resort is HUGE plan good walking shoes. There is London like buses to shuttle you around or you can enjoy the long walks. If you think it's expensive while booking let me tell you it's going to be worth it. there are plenty of stuff to do on the resort itself. free included non-motorized water sports. Gabriela at the catamaran reservation desk was super cool with me doing as much sailing I wanted as long as I would bring back the boat when other people wanted to go. That was very nice of her and it made me enjoy my stay even more. The food is super neat. the cold buffets are safely placed on refrigerated surfaces and hot stuff was properly hot making it super safe even for the most fragile eaters. The reservations restaurants for the evening dinners where a blast. Tokyo's Surf n Turf is amazing! Had it twice.
