This place is wonderful. A hidden love is gem. My boyfriend and I stayed for 6 nights in a bungalow suite. Lovely. Staff is so courteous and accommodating. Food choices for the quaint hotel were wonderful. Will definitely stay again.

We spent a day (well two) here. We were staying close by and came for lunch and to hang out on the beach. We really enjoy it. The food was great, staff were friendly and the beach was lovely And not rocky like it is along alot of that stretche of beach. Looks like a great place to stay too little bungalows in an oasis of palm trees right on the beach! There's a pool and a playground too All enclosed and safe for littleuns!

The staff was very nice and always helpful, the food was amazing (and reasonably priced when not included), and the atmosphere was very relaxing. Just what we wanted for our Honeymoon. Can't wait to come back!

The staff is very friendly, helpful and always in a good mood. The food is delicious, the atmosphere relaxed, the directly accessible beaches beautiful. Room service always leaves a surprise and the drinks at the bar are good (also many non-alcoholic options). If you want to rent a car, the car will be brought directly to the hotel, and taxi service to the city center is also convenient.

Smaller quiter hotel with comfy bungalows situated amongst a beautiful tropical garden. Staff is very friendly and the restaurant, which serves three meals a day, is excellent.

Petit Lafitte is an adorable, quaint and intimate beach-side resort.
My highest praise will be for the staff. The complete staff was friendly, hospitable, relatable and were very pleasant. I would commend the staff for having a fun time while waiting on our group's needs. They were a lot of fun, more than you would expect for a resort.
The rooms were modest and clean. I would say the rooms are 3-star quality with basic amenities, but honestly you won't be spending too much time in your room. We had friends who stayed in the bungalows, they were nicer than the standard rooms.
Location cannot be beat! All the rooms are steps away from the beach. Petit Lafitte is much smaller than your typical resort, which made all rooms very accessible to the beach. I personally enjoyed how small the resort was, but if you are expecting a grand resort with multiple pools and several bars and restaurants this is not the place for you.
Breakfast and dinner are included with your stay. Drinks and lunch will be charged to your room. Drinks, snacks and lunch are exceptionally affordable. For example, full-price margaritas are about $4USD, and a plate of guacamole is $3USD.
Breakfast was always two-course with continental breakfast and fresh fruit followed by a cooked-to-order breakfast.
Dinner was a fixed four-course meal with salad, soup, entree and a dessert. The entree would have you select between a meat or fish dish. Dinners was always high-quality and delicious. The soup consistently surprised us with how good they were.
As a bonus, this resort has a rescue bird area with several parrots, toucans, and other exotic birds. If you are lucky you may spot the family of wild monkeys who frequent the resort too!
My only complaint is that you cannot charge everything to your room, so expect to bring plenty of cash. There is a gift and rentals shop, massage parlor and shuttle service that you cannot charge to your room and take cash only. There is not an ATM onsite either.
From my observations, I would not say Petit Lafitte is kid accommodating. There was a small playground and game room, but it was pretty basic.
TL;DR. I would recommend you book this hotel if you are looking for a small, intimate resort with great staff. Food was delicious and drinks were cheap. Rooms are standard, but all of them are super close to the beach; the bungalows looked nicer. Bring cash as some services cannot be charged to the room.response / report this review -

My good friend's got married here. It was an absolutely amazing week. The staff was fun and friendly. Small intimate resorts with everything you could need. Highly recommend.

Service is great! They booked a reservation for us and printed driving directions to the location. Our stay included breakfast and dinner. Breakfast food quality is okay but the workers are friendly. They're a bit sarcastic jokers at times, making the experience light hearted. My family of 3 spent 4 great nights in one of the garden side bungalows. We'd definitely return again. It might have been partly our luck with the time of year we visited (mid March), but it wasn't too busy. Family friendly; yet we could still have the pool to ourselves sometimes and plenty of room to enjoy the beach without being on top of other people. The rooms and premises were very clean and comfortable. The staff works very hard and is super friendly we never felt like "another number". David helped us line up a few places to tour since we don't really speak Spanish. The food & drink was excellent. Fresh fruit every morning. Our 11 year old daughter raved about the food buffet.
(breakfast and are dinner included) The birds and monkeys on site gave the place a real boutique feel which is neat. I hope it can continue to keep it's charm! Muchas gracias!response / report this review -

Petit Lafitte Hotel is a beautiful and serene hotel located way down a sketchy back road. I was not sure I was going to make it to the hotel, but when I did I was pleasantly surprised. There was a delicious included buffet dinner, and then a small bar to drink at afterwards. The drinks were good, and cheap. The service is amazing as well. All staff members are friendly and very helpful. Highly recommend Petit Lafitte Hotel.

Amazing. Everything about this place is magical, from the gorgeous location to the exceptional service. I've never felt quite so welcome at a vacation spot as I do here, like we are all old friends just having a wonderful time together. Casual, relaxed, but so special - - I will definitely be back!
