So friendly & helpful! I was buying a "Secret Santa" gift for a knitter (and I don't knit) and I got great help!
I love coming here on the weekend to grab a cup of coffee or latte. The staff is very friendly, and I like supporting a local Verona business. My only issue is that the service tends to be slow - not a big deal if you have time, but I can imagine this could be frustrating on a weekday morning.
I love the yarn selection, the helpful staff and the yummy food. I also love going on the late nights, first and third Friday of the month. to meet with friends old and new.
Adorable little cafe with a yarn shop. Crochet or knit while you sip tasty brews and much on pastries. I had the oatmeal and it was great. It came out in a large mug with milk foam on top, it looked like a latte!
I don't drink coffee, but they do have good quiche and cookies here. They also have a good selection of yarns that you won't find at places like Joann or Michael's - things like alpaca, silk, and Merino wool blends. The staff is very helpful as well!
Just got ripped off stopping here for a cold brewed coffee. $6!? Are you serious? I brought my own cup! Also, the cold brewed coffee was bitter and gross. I couldn't even finish it.
Great sandwich, great atmosphere. Live the yarn selection. Staff friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. I'd recommend The Sow's Ear even if I wasn't a knitter.
Friendly staff prepared everything right in a short time. We enjoyed all of our drinks - a vanilla Chai latte on ice, blackberry Chai latte on ice, and an iced decaf coffee(not a standard menu choice, but they Stafford and made it well. All were just what we needed in a hot day. Comfy, friendly, fast, and reasonably affordable - what more could you ask?
This cafe is so cute and cozy!! They have a very friendly staff. My only complaint is that their service is a little slow. I ordered an iced coffee and it took about 10 minutes. I didn't care much because I didn't have anywhere to be right away, but for people in a rush I would not recommend. This place is absolutely perfect if you want to sit down for a while, do work, Knit, or chill with a friend!
The Sow's Ear is one of my favorite yarn shops and places to hang out. Their food is good, and their yarn selection is varied and consistent. What really makes them stand out is their service, though. Whenever I have questions they are more than helpful, and they're likely able to special order you something if you need it. They have a really nice swift you can use even for yarn you didn't purchase there. Their classes and events are also hard to beat in the Madison area.
Hands down the best quiche I've ever had! I don't knit, but the food here is delicious, the staff are friendly, and the coffee is great! Highly recommend.
This place speaks to my soul. Yarn + coffee = Happy Natali. This place is perfection on many levels.
This is the best coffee shop in the area! They frequently rotate their seasonal specialties so there is always something exciting to try. Their pastries are delicious too. Best of all, the staff are very friendly and welcoming!
If you knit I imagine this place is almost paradise, when I was there at least 30 people were knitting over coffee. They sell high quality yarn, run classes and also sell supplies. If you don't mind knitters everywhere this is a nice place to have lunch or coffee. They have a good selection of vegetarian and also baked goods. I personally dislike Kickapoo coffee so they got knocked a star on that one but everything else is top notch and local. Support small businesses like this one!
