To start, service was slow from the start. The waitress came right away and then after we said we need a couple minutes to decide on drinks she disappeared for a good 10 to 15 minutes. When I say disappear I mean not even working the room with other tables. When she returned we finally were able to order drinkswhich took another 15 minutes. When we ordered our drinks we ordered our food too, including appetizer. So after we got our drinks, we waited another 15 minutes for the appetizer, but a complimentary dish of corn bread and butter instead. The appetizer was still coming though. 10 minutes later, appetizer. 15 to 20 minutes later we got the main course. Now let me say the food was good, I had the blackened seitan and my wife the vegan red beans and rice. My dish wasn’t the greatest, but was still very good. Her dish was very good! Aside from the food, the service was aweful. This is only based on one server, because we saw how all the other servers were working hard and being attentive to their tables. Not sure why we got stuck with the one server that was never around. I would absolutely go back, but pray I don’t get the same server.

Very good food, loved the tomato Bruchetta! The butternut squash was very rich and filling. Lillian’s pasta was perfect and the chicken so soft! The presentation for each dish was excellent! Would definitely recommend this place for an elegant evening out

I've been here just about every Sunday for Brunch the last two months and you will not leave unsatisfied. Plenty of Cajun inspired dishes and amazing flavors, but if you have a sweet tooth their Bananas Foster Pain Perdu is to die for, also perfect to split with a date, and it goes hand in hand with their delicious crispy Nueske's bacon.

I would bring anyone here, Live Jazz makes the time slip away while you enjoy a perfect brunch.

Great Creole and Cajun food within minutes of downtown Madison! If you like Louisiana cuisine, the I highly recommend. The menu is excellent. Highly recommend the shrimp and grits, the jambalaya and the Liliana pasta. The wine selection and the dessert menu are great as well. Service was superb. Ample parking. Handicap accessible. Reservations recommended, particularly on popular dining out nights.

Three friends and I went to Liliana's last night excited to grab what's been touted as Madison's best cajun/creole food. Instead, we received four chairs and no service. I'm genuinely not sure if Liliana's is a self-serve restaurant since we ordered a beer at 6 and 6:30 and did not get either by the time we left at 7:10. We also ordered four waters and only received three. We tried to get our waitress' attention so we could inform the restaurant that we were leaving but she literally did not come to check on our table in the half hour before we left.
The cornbread was delicious doe. And I suppose if I were on a diet, I'd be thankful that Liliana's refused to serve me so that I could stick with that. However, as someone who went to a restaurant to drink and eat, I was rather disappointed. Honestly 1 star seems generous as I'm sure if I'd ordered a star at Liliana's, I wouldn't have received one within the hour.

Honestly, where else in the Madison area would you go for such a great New Orleans restaurant?! I'd go as far as saying this is the best New Orleans restaurant in the mid-west!

Delicious food, phenomenal service, amazing atmosphere, tremendous wine selection, wonderful music, incredible bar and of course the best New Orleans experience!

Had a pretty decent experience here for my first time. The crab cakes benedict brunch are excellent. A few things didn't go unnoticed like a dirty fork and some issues with getting certain requests made but all in all a good place to eat. I'll change to 4 or 5 stars if the next visit goes better. Nice outdoor setting and live music inside on our Sunday brunch endeavor.

Food is good! Great NOLA flavors without being way to spicy (though if you like it spicy they can kick up the heat). Atmosphere is nice, when we went in they had live music. Only disappointing thing about our experience was we couldn't sit on their patio on a gorgeous night. We were told they "didn't have the staff for it". Which is too bad, we probably would have enjoyed more beverages and the night better if we could sit outside.

Liliana's always provides a beautiful dining experience. Service is outstanding, and the live dinner music adds to the ambiance. But the real reason to go there is Chef Dave's wonderful food. Flavors are blended perfectly and presented beautifully. I've never had a disappointing meal there.

Best meal ever. Everything from the atmosphere to the food and service were outstanding. It's more than just a restaurant to them, and you can tell.

Well, my first experience here wasn't great! But I happened to be here again after a year and I liked what I ordered. I had smoked tofu. It was good! The vegetarian/vegan burger they give in the afternoon is good and it's $10! It is filling and good to taste. Try it, you will like it!

My family has been coming regularly since they opened. I love that the food is made from scratch and much is sourced locally. The have great options for kids (even a sampler plate for babies!) and my kids love that there is live music almost every time we go. We've tried almost the whole menu and it's always delicious.

Excellent service. Was very busy Friday night, but with our reservation we were seated immediately. We chose to sit at a table in the bar area to get the happy hour drinks specials. Food is not cheap, this is a medium priced restaurant. The quality of the food is very high. Definitely great value for your money. The jambalaya I had was excellent, and the rest of my table enjoyed their entrees as well. The wait staff was friendly, and it was very busy. So busy that the waiter offered to buy our table glasses of champagne to give up our table and move to the bar. The owner and chef personally delivered the drinks to us. Very nice guy, great food, great hospitality, and really fun live music. Awesome night out.
