I recommend this hotel if you will mostly spend your time out of the hotel room and just need a place to sleep at. The place offers a great location if you want to visit Universal Studios. They have a free shuttle bus to go to and from Universal. BUT, the hotel room itself is not the comfiest and cleanest in the world. There's no solid division that separates the beds from the washroom other than a curtain that only covers half of the room. So if you are going to do your "dirty business" in there I suggest you make the other people leave the room first.

If I could leave no star I would. I was in the room for a total of 20 minutes and those minutes were spent deciding if we'd be charged for early check out.
Hotel needs $100 for security deposit. Best paid in cash upon check in.
We were greeted by a bug on the floor when we finally got into the room as the key barely worked.
The room smelled awful. There was a rusted fridge sat beside the door. A very very noisy air con.
The bathroom was just Ew pubes and mould stuck to the 'bath mat'.
The bed was literally just a matress on top of another matress.
I book two nights. Left after 20 minutes.

DON'T STAY HERE IS YOU VALUE YOUR LIFE! Price gouged me during hurricane $149 a night! Sheet metal flying through the hallways and left laying around to cut you in half when the wind picks up again. Roaches Everywhere! Pool water came into my room with ac close to ground running! Had to wear rubber boots to avoid electric shock! Had to use my clothes to block water from coming in room, clothes ruined! Filed complaint with Sanitation dept. and price gouging - Attorney General's office. DO NOT STAY HERE!

This place is so unbelievably nasty! They also charge you $100 cash deposit or $100 on your card that you can't get back for 3-4 weeks!!! No refunds either, you have no choice! The rooms are so nasty! SO NASTY!!!!! No bathroom door you can't even stay there unless you're homeless or something. I'm telling you I'd rather pitch a tent!! So sick!! I asked for a manager and they didn't have one. Then I asked for the manager's phone number and they gave me a fake phone numbers. So manager if you exist, and if you are reading this you will be meeting me soon and small claims court! Did I mention that they discriminate against younger people and force them to pay $25 more that is nonrefundable? I'm getting this place taken down from the booking websites! I would never have even given it one star but I had to in order to make this post public.

So the people were friendly. The rooms are not what they are in the pics. They tell you its cheaper to go online, it isnt after paying $100 deposit early check in fees and resort fee, it was 200 on top of the $255 I already paid. I won't be doing that again. We enjoyed our 8 night stay but for the money the room wasn't worth it. No fridge or microwave. If you are gonna charge 322 to 4 for 8 nights that should at least be provided. Only good thing is they are around all the parks and the people were nice. Thats it.

BEWARE! THIS PLACE IS INFESTED WITH BED BUGS! First of all this wasn't expected to be five stars but this is the worst hotel ever. Found a bed bug on my pillow this morning, great way to freaking wake up! 100 cash deposit on room i could understand if it weren't such a dump. There is nothing worth 100 in those rooms. We made the mistake of bringing our own pillows to sleep on needless to say after seeing the bed bug on my pillow and the bite marks on my kids they were left behind.
BEWARE STAYING HERE! WE LOST 100+ IN PERSONAL ITEMS (PILLOWS)
They didn't even offer to comp the room

The check-in desk area DID NOT have ANY A/C!!!! This was in Florida, in June, and it was cooler OUTSIDE than in there!!!
Then, when I went to my room, not only was the A/C turned off, BUT IT WAS ON HEAT!!! It took over 3 hours to cool down the room!!! AND, that was with me taking as cold of a shower that I could stand!!!!
AND, I was told that the $100 deposit would take 2-3 days to go back onto my card STILL WAITING!!!! If I don't get it in another 5 days, I'll simply reverse the charges!!!!response / report this review -

Firstly While checking in, the area of the check-in desk had NO A/C!!!! And when I mentioned it, I was told that the A/C Unit freezes up when it gets turned on. Well, if that happened at my house, I'd have my A/C fixed ASAP!!!
Secondly, while checking in, and seeing the state of the check-in desk, I had wanted to make sure that my room would be nice and cool. After being assured that my room would be cool, I took my keys, and went to the room. Only to find that the A/C WAS TURNED OFF!!! The only way that I could cool down, besides turning on the A/C, was taking a cool shower!!!response / report this review -

Location is great. Near great food and shopping places. The office staff was great and the shower was a great addition. But their website photos compared to what we got did not match at all. With the bad weather we faced being stuck in the room with 15 channels to watch was not funny. Will not be back. You get what you pay for.

We got in at 630am. My girl and I were just expecting to pay at worse an early check in fee. Our entire reservation for the week is $200. First off, the guy didn't open the door for us. We were served outside by the window and then he wanted to charge us $98 plus taxes to check in early.
We're currently next door at the Floridian Express for $50 (walk in rate) waiting to check into the M. Oh and the Floridian Express guy thought we were checking in early with a reservation and said he wouldn't charge us. Guess he felt bad for us and gave us a good walk in rate after hearing our sob story about the start of our trip.
Back to the M. You get what you pay for. Poor customer service. Hopefully when we finally check in later today, the 'renovated' rooms are not the equivalent to their service.response / report this review -

The overall stance was really great. For us the most important was that they had a wide range of time to pick you up and drop off in the Universal Studios theme Park, allowing you to fully enjoy the park. The room was clean and everything worked fine. Nevertheless, there is a detail to take into account. If you are going to arrive after 00:00, let the hotel know, or they will automatically cancel the reservation. We did that and worked perfectly, we could do the check in at 2:00 AM. However, there were people there that didn't do it and had to find another solution. I do really recommend this hotel.
