Quill is the best hidden gem bar in DC! Pricey cocktails, but expertly crafted. Sophie is the best!

Had a wonderful stay here. I was celebrating my birthday and they made me feel special. My dog was along for the weekend and was treated like a queen. Very friendly staff, great food at the restaurants, great drinks at the bar.

The Jefferson is probably the only rival to the early Plaza Hotel I've seen. Making it completely unmatched among its peers in my view, is the whiff of early American history with a bustling, surprisingly friendly, international embassy scene. It is quite literally a first class American experience.

An old friend of mine stayed at The Jefferson recently and I met him for drinks at the hotel bar. Service was prompt and the drinks were strong and well executed. After a few rounds, we had desert and it was fantastic.

What an elegant, classic and beautiful hotel! The refurbishment was done with great tasteful interior design which brings back old time glamour. It is at a great location which is walking distance to the White House and other famous monuments.
The staff here are absolutely wonderful! I would definitely go back to stay here when I go to Washington DC again.response / report this review -

The elegance and decor of this hotel is amazing. The attention, friendliness and helpfulness of the staff is the best I have ever seen. When you go out they open the door for you when you return they greet you and welcome you back. The rooms are in perfect condition and attended to 2 twice a day. They provide you with a bathrobe and slippers and filter water. I read how nice this hotel was before I came and now I know its all true.

My friends and I ordered mixed drinks at the Quill. It's an elegant bar fitting to The Jefferson. We apparently came in on a slow night, but it was still very pleasant. Clientele were mostly middle aged and older.

Beautiful building. Hard-working, knowledgeable and pleasant staff. I won an overnight stay. I didn't eat in any of their restaurants, but enjoyed reading the menus. Expensive but if you have the funds, enjoy.

We went to Quill for a quick bite and had the most wonderful time. The hotel employees were kind in guiding us to the bar, and everything was absolutely stunning and beautiful. Inside Quill. Is a live pianist playing tubes with patrons in a joyous and intimate manner; that room was the size of a small living room, but it really made for a fun and intimate setting to sing a long with! The cocktails at Quill are indeed quite expensive, but they are worth every single penny because they were the best drinks I have ever had in my life. Our bartender Rachel was such a delight and her concoctions were superb. Bonus points for giving me a free birthday bubbly! We had a few appetizers and they were delicious as well. I absolutely cannot recommend Quill enough. It is one of my new favorite places; I can't wait to go back!

I went to Plume restaurant with my boyfriend during the cherry blossoms. The food was really great, and the service was friendly. The ambience of the place is elite yet warm. Overall, it was an awesome date night!!
