Had a daddy daughter day lunch on the rooftop during Christmas break and had a great time. They leave the canvas up so the view isn't spoiled so it can get a little chilly but there's lots of overhead heaters so it's not bad. The view was great, the food and service were decent, and the place was not crowded on a weekday for late lunch. Place isn't cheap, like $6 for a glass of apple juice, but I knew that going in.
I had a honor to photograph weddings and engagement session there at W Hotel. I'm very impressed by this hotel. How clean, nice and elegant it looks like. Also food, views on roof top and staff is just amazing!! If you're visiting Washington DC or just would like to get some drinks. You should visit this place!!
We recently went into the W for drinks to wait for our tour to start at The White House. This is pretty much the best location since its right across the street from a East tour. The hotel was nicely decorated for the holidays and had a modern design.
Really a mixed bag for what is normally an excellent W hotel experience. Some of the staff are courteous and friendly and others not so much. The decor and vibe is decadent and vibrant with the rooftop bar being the highlight of the visit. The rooms left much to be desired. Better luck next time
This hotel was awesome, and the customer service was on point! They were super nice and always try to help with whatever they can. I would definitely come back here again if I'm ever visiting the DC area.
Customer service here is impeccable. The staff went above and beyond to ensure our comfort. The Valet, Bellhop and Front Desk provided a uniformed experience. The view on the rooftop bar is pretty sweet as well.
Chic hotel with a younger vibe. The staff is fantastic. Upon check in they give you a glass of champagne. Very nice touch! The rooms were a bit small for the price but they were tastefully decorated and the bed was very comfortable. The provided toiletries were more and of a better quality than I've seen at comparable hotels. It was a nice touch.
I'm giving it 4 stars instead of 5 because of the relatively thin walls and room size for the money. I also could have used a pair of earplugs to take a showerthe shower head puts out a ton of water (which is nice) but produces a lot of noise which echoes very loud throughout the room.
We came for one night to be able to hit the museum in the morning. This hotel was the best hotel I have ever stayed in. We had our puppy with us, and they were extremely accommodating - they had bowls, treats, and a toy for her, and even let her "hang out" with them for a few hours, free of charge! The room was not a huge room but it was very nice, modern, and clean. The hotel is super close to many things to do and see. The staff have been extremely accommodating. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone staying in DC.
Very trendy hotel and I liked that there was a great rooftop party but the room was very dusty and not too clean. The sheets had a tear in them. Don't make my mistake and park with valet because it costs $55 for 24 hours.
Don't call room service for anything, they add 5 or 6 different "taxes" to the bill which doubles it. I got 2 gin and tonics, $16 each The total of the bill was $48.90 (just to put it in perspective).
For that price I would definitely stay somewhere else next time I go to DC
The upstairs bar is nice, good view of the White House and other monuments. Really expensive though, I ordered two gin and tonics and a vodka red bull (Sapphire gin, not sure of the vodka, but it wasn't Gray goose or anything really high end) and the bill was $51. I know it's a nice place but that seems over the top to me.
Lobby is gorgeous. Lots of lights! POV is on the top floor. It's a bar with an open atmosphere. Views of the National Mall and white house. While I wished it was higher up, it's a good place to hang out. Prices are high obviously. The food is not the greatest. Go for the view after dinner elsewhere.
Amazing view from the rooftop patio and bar. Probably the best of Washington I've had. Service was good, great selection of drinks. Make sure you reserve if you have more than 2-3 people.
Room was nice and clean. Kinda small but that was fine. Nice rooftop bar with great views of the white house. Very nice place overall.
I loved the look of the hotel. And the view from the rooftop bar was amazing. The drinks weren't the best, but they weren't horrible either. $17 is a bit steep though for a not so good drink. The staff was quite friendly.
