The Asheville Renaissance is a classy spot. The rooms and lobby are designed with utmost attention to detail. Plenty of free parking out front. Once you park, you probably won't have to use your car until you leave, because everything you need is within walking distance. The staff went above and beyond to make for a comfortable stay. The rooms were quiet and the bed was cozy; I got a rare full night's sleep. Truly as good as it gets. I will be back soon!
We really enjoyed our stay at the Renaissance Asheville. The location was perfect - right downtown and walking distance to so many wonderful restaurants and bars that Asheville has to offer. Our room was very spacious, modern, and clean. The beds were very cozy. The lobby and main areas were also cozy, clean, and decorated really cute for the holidays. The staff was helpful and kind. There was a bar at the hotel and a restaurant. We didn't try them, but they were busy both nights and people seemed to be enjoying themselves. We did use the indoor pool and gym - both facilities were top notch. I will definitely return to this hotel on our next visit!
The hotel is in a very convenient location for walking downtown, and the room was comfortable, with a lovely view toward North Asheville. The pool and fitness center were more than adequate. The staff was courteous and helpful. My only knock is the lack of in-room or lobby recycling, and not following their own policy of allowing the guest to reuse towels not tossed in the floor. Surprising, in a city that touts its environmental stewardship.
Renaissance Hotel Asheville was the sweetest hotel we've stayed at and a treat for the band on the last day of tour. Located right in the middle of downtown Asheville, we couldn't ask for a better location in my favorite city on the east coast. There's more amazing food options and things to do in walking distance from here than you could do in 3 days. This hotel is fancy and classy; really cool lobby that looked like a movie set. Rooms were hooked up with the softest and most comfortable bedding I've ever experienced. The soap and shampoo was super exotic and relaxing. Great water pressure and shower. Cool sliding bathroom door with a mirror on the other side of the bathroom. Attentive and friendly staff. Worth the splurge to experience luxury in this architectural masterpiece. A+
I recently attended a luncheon conference at this facility. It's nestled in downtown Asheville. While beautiful and convenient, this does create a parking challenge, and in fact, I had to park at the nearby College St garage and walk over. However, once inside, the staff were friendly and helpful, the lobby was tastefully decorated, and there were several elevators ensuring I didn't wait long. Our event was on the 12th floor, the so called top of the plaza. The room was a bit small, but not cramped. Lunch was provided, and was enjoyable. What really shined were the desserts. They were absolutely delicious. The pecan pie was truly enjoyable. While I did ask for hot tea, unfortunately, that was not available, only coffee. I'm not a coffee drinker, so I stuck to water. Overall, food was decent, facility was nice, service was good, and I'd consider using it again for future events.
The Renaissance in Asheville provided us with an outstanding experience! The location is absolutely perfect, and the newly updated and remodeled hotel is beautiful! We had a treacherous drive up from Atlanta in an awful storm that provided for an extremely frustrating morning and ruined plans. Thankfully, the nicest lady in the world was waiting for us at the front desk and helped us get checked in very early and made sure we were comfortable and happy. Thank you so much for what you did, and your extremely kind and courteous service.
We had a perfect trip from there on out, and the free and ample parking, plus free wifi was a cherry on top.
I left my camera in our room after checkout. Once I realized my error I called and was informed that it had been found. The camera was mailed back to me at no expense. What a generous surprise. I highly recommend staying at this property.
The Renaissance Asheville in Asheville, NC was one of the most conveniently located hotel we've stayed in. We were a couple minutes from EVERYTHING. The sheets have to be the smoothest i've felt on my skin. The bathroom mirror doesn't fog up after you shower. It came with a fridge and work space. The hotel breakfast was also top quality. They had someone making custom omelettes. The rooms were super clean and I slept better than I have in weeks. I would suggest this hotel to anyone in Asheville. The service was amazing. Our man Luke was super helpful across the board. It's service and quality like that which makes you appreciate staying in a hotel. I would definitely stay here again!
I can't say enough great things about this hotel. First off, the proximity to great bars, restaurants, and shopping can't be beaten. You're in the heart of downtown Asheville, just steps away from the best eats. The hotel's cleanliness and top notch service are second to none. They have a fabulous restaurants themselves and a cute bar right in the lobby. I also noticed the gorgeous interior design of this hotel, which is something I don't usually note. Super clean and classy interiors! Next time I roll through, Asheville, I will be staying at the Renaissance. I wouldn't stay anywhere else!
Our client David Waite recently stayed here while performing in Asheville and made sure to mention how incredible the hotel property was. The staff was very friendly and accommodating to his late hour check-in and the rooms were immaculate. Top notch!
Be mindful of the condition of the rooms at this location. Every other Marriott I have stayed at has been significantly cleaner. We were bitten by bed bugs and left early. They tried to move us to another room, but the second room also had bed bug excrement stains on the sheets. When the head of housekeeping came to inspect she told us she had "watched a video" on bed bugs and was going to change the sheets. Bed bugs typically reside in mattresses, furniture, and wall cracks - not sheets. Location is great though; rooms leave much to be desired. Book at your own risk and stay away from the third floor.
Nicest hotel I've visited in Asheville. Located right downtown with a private lot with tons of parking. The lobby was filled with life, the modern style room was a perfect place to meet fellow guest. The rooms were huge, slept 4 very comfortably. Will definitely be staying again.
The Renaissance is a beautiful, lush experience. We came in very tired from driving and were welcomed by the lovely hotel staff. They offered us laundry services which were great and invited us to see their pool. The facilities are spectacular! Our room was very stylish with modern decor and the comfiest king sized bed. We ordered room service which was brought up promptly by totally lovely staff. We slept like babies in the huge bed! The next day we had breakfast in their elegant restaurant. Staff were very attentive, noticed that we had a lot of bags and gave us a large table to accommodate all of our stuff. Breakfast was A+. Wifi was great and there was free parking.
I love this hotel. It is in great walking distance to all breweries. The rooms are adorable and quaint. Very comfortable. Staff is nice as well. Parking is a little off but they have an awesome out door sitting area with a fire pit
