We we're lucky enough to get a great rate on a 1 night stay but we were thrilled with the service! Check in was smooth and the lady at the front desk was super nice and knew about all the restaurants in the area. One downside would be the mandatory valet which is $18 per day. Housekeeping was great! Room was very clean and they even checked in with us after we got there to see if we needed anything else. Thanks Michelle (I think that was her name)! The fire alarm did go off around 10 at night but staff was quick to resolve the situation and get everyone back to their rooms. Eric, the bartender, was super friendly and accommodating and stayed late to serve us while we waited. It's located about 5-10 minute walk to most of the restaurants in Asheville so location was perfect. I would stay here again!
We love the Hotel Indigo. It's not too big. It's not too small. It's just right. New construction with a modern design. The staff is super friendly and helpful. It is the perfect location when doing Christmas Jam at US Cellular Center. It's also convenient to the Grove Mall and downtown with lots of good restaurants nearby. We've also really like the breakfast at the Indigo's restaurant. We've done that several times.
Friendly staff and an enjoyable stay. Parking is valet only. The hotel is in a great location for getting around to seeing the sites in downtown Asheville. Only complaint is that attention to detail could have been better in the room cleanliness. There was hair and makeup on the wall behind the bathroom door.
We had a very unpleasant experience at this hotel! When we checked in, we were told that valet, which is mandatory might I add, is $7.50 per day. When I received my credit card statement I had a $36 charge. When I tried to call the hotel to ask about this charge I was on hold for over 30 minutes waiting to speak with someone. Went from the reservation department to the guest services department finally to the hotel. The manager was not helpful at all and would not refund the money. She said the valet stand has $18.00 posting on it which the valet stand was covered in Halloween decorations. We also were missing an expensive item after our call was valeted. We called every lost and found to the places we visited and it never showed up. We will not be visiting an Indigo hotel again.
This is a "nice" and "fancy" hotel, but IMO it's completely overrated. We stayed here for our wedding weekend and were not too impressed. The price alone is cause for concern, but we wanted to treat ourselves. We figured at the rate we were paying we would have a spacious, beautiful room with a view, but that didn't happen. Even after making our reservation MONTHS in advance, and knowing that we were there for our wedding, we still were shoved into a room the size of a walk-in closet on the 2nd floor..the room was tiny and disappointing, the price was inflated and the room service food was not good. The one saving grace for this place is the valet service. Those guys worked hard and were extremely helpful, but despite that fact, I can say with great certainty that I will not be staying here again.
Amazing place, nice courtyard away from traffic. Room was super comfy. Robert at the desk couldn't have been more helpful.
Dog lovers take note. Dogs under 80lbs are allowed! Nice hotel, downtown Asheville, walk to everything. Nice rooms, borderline great bar, good food. We stay here every time we come to Asheville. If you don't like dogs, find a different place. It seems everyone has a good sized dog.
Funky hotel and nice looking rooms but service needs much improvement.
First, each room has its own boiler, which would be fine if it didn't run out of hot water in the middle of my shower.
The hotel is valet parking only, but when I called for my car, the front desk forgot to give the message to the valet, so we had to wait a while until they brought it around.
The little kitchenette has no power outlets to hook up anything.
The hotel is run by very young people, although polite, it has an amateurish feel to it.
I expect more for $350 a night.
Great hotel. I did not like their valet service. The room was descent but definitely not worth a full price stay, as other hotels in the city offer a more luxurious package.
Biggest issue is the corner, just in front of the hotel, where 240 exits onto O Henry and funnels into the Arcade area. This is a very dangerous corner and I have almost been hit multiple times crossing with the correct lighting. I understand that this is not a direct issue of the Indigo but they need to step up and clear the brush on the corner so pedestrians can be seen better by drivers.
Spacious room in an attractive hotel with helpful staff and a well-stocked food shop downstairs. Valet parking was necessary at 18 per night. Location is convenient for Thomas Wolfe Auditorium and downtown.
Absolutely phenomenal. I was fortunate enough to have stayed in the king penthouse A trip that will not be forgotten anytime soon. During the extent of the trip from the moment I walked in the door do the day I left, I was absolutely thrilled with every Las aspect of this hotel. It was, undoubtedly, by a long shot the absolute best hotel I have stayed in even compared to international five star spas. I will be visiting many many more times.
Great location and great rooms! The Hotel Indigo is conveniently located to everything downtown and nothing is more than a 10 minute walk away. The room was large and the views are amazing! Katie went above and beyond to make our stay perfect, cannot wait to come back here next time we're in Asheville.
This is one of the top 2 hotels I've ever stayed in. Free cold filtered water in addition to the ice machines.
The staff is friendly and helpful. The amenities feature a combination bar and coffee snack area. The kitchen has breakfast and dinner hours, and the food is delicious without being over priced. The seating is cozy and comfortable for eating or simply hanging out.
The room was clean and the shower was spacious, tiled worth a glass door.
Valet car service is great, although not included with the stay. I feel a minor improvement could be offering at least one night of valet parking with a 2 night or more stay.
Overall, a great experience and we will be back!
Hotel Indigo in downtown Asheville is one of my favorite properties. I make it a point to stay there multiple times a year. The staff is pleasant and very accommodating. The hotel is clean, and has some gorgeous views of Asheville. Breakfast from there restaurant is never a disappointment. I highly recommend staying there, and I can not wait for my next stay.
