I have not stayed at the hotel only visited the Rooftop venue. It was comfortable and the drinks delicious. Inside got noisy as the evening went on, but we enjoyed the outdoor seating and the street view of Asheville. A great place to relax and enjoy a beverage.
Good hotel, super pet friendly. Accepts dogs over 40lbs with waivers. single rooms are decent size although a little small for big dogs. No mircowave in rooms, no bath. Nice shower and small fridge. W XYZ has great alcohol. Little food area serves Starbucks but no solid meals. Black bird restaurant isn't part of the hotel and isn't dog friendly. Dog run isn't big but decent size, has poop bags. Pool is definitely on small side. Anticipate rude guests smoking and not picking up after their dogs. Staff are great though.
The walls were a little thin where we were. We could hear our neighbors to the right talking at a very audible level. It didn't seem as if they were yelling, and we could hear them multiple times. It was very clean and super comfy bed tho so overall definitely would recommend and return if we had the opportunity!
This hotel is perfectly located right in the middle of everything. They are not only friendly to people, but are very dog-friendly. It was great to see people and their dogs everywhere in the hotel. Nice rooms, very modern, and friendly staff. Highly recommended!
I felt 100% BAIT AND SWITCHED.
Called a day before arriving to schedule a nights stay for a little day-cation get away for my other half. The rate quoted on the phone was $199, but the service rep signed me up for their rewards program and dropped the price to $129. I booked the room. Upon arriving after the 3 hour drive, the clerk said the price I booked the room for and was quoted was no good for me, and the price would be $199. She said the 129 price was an employee rate and I needed a form for proof. This was never mentioned when I booked the room for $129 over the phone
They refused to honor the rate and offered me a manager’s discount of $150 for the night. On top of this is a $9 parking fee per night.
The hotel is clean and has really cool modern look to the rooms and lobby, however the walls are very thin..so thin in fact you can actually hear the neighbors raising and lowering the window shades.it actually sounds like they are in the room with you adjusting YoUR shadesso you can imagine the other noises you can hear.
If I were the manager I would have honored the original pricing the room was booked for. The price even showed up on the computerif I was truly unable to honor the price I would have at least given a complimentary $20 bar ticket, or waived the parking fee to show customer appreciation INSTEAD of just offering to call other hotels in the area (which is what happened)
Won’t be staying here or at any other locations ever again. I travel and stay in hotels regularly due to my work and I’ve never been treated like this before.
New to this area. Walked to the front desk and Lauren greeted us with a great smile. She told us places to go and about the breweries. She was so helpful.
The hotel was perfect, great location. Definitely would stay again.
Surprised by Lauren she gave us a gift certificate for free breakfast.
Thanks!
Hotel is modern, clean, friendly in a super great location at downtown Asheville with lots of breweries, shops, restaurants within walking distance. Beds are very comfortable. Super dog friendly where they even hosted a foster dog available for adoption. How awesome is that? Love this hotel
Great hotel. The most pet friendly I've ever been to. Good restaurants all around with a few minutes walk. Convenient parking garage. Clean and good size rooms.
With the Aloft Downtown it is all about location. It is perfectly located so that you can walk out of the hotel door and walk to any restaurant, bar, or shopping area that you want to go to. The rooms are nice, but small and not a lot of special features. Our coffeemaker in the room was broken which was very disheartening. There is a bar in the hotel that has an outdoor seating area overlooking Biltmore AVE which is great for people watching at night. Parking is extra, but worth it. The pool is small, but has a nice seating area. It would be great for sunbathing or relaxing by the pool with a good book.
Spent 7 nights here in a suite. Been coming here for a few years and usually get the same room. They were great when new but are getting tired and outdated. Things are not as clean as they should be. We had boogers all over our large picture window. Make you wonder what else they are missing. Also our a/c unit or heater went out 3-4 times too. Grout in the bathrooms is getting that two star hotel look.
If you can find somewhere else to go, do. Suggest it for the rooms and service are not what they used to be. Starwood also just misplaced our reservations for an upcoming trip. Complained about it and the rep on the phone said it was OK with them if I don't use them anymore. All they offered to help was the phone number to the hotel i want to stay at All this with our last trip being 7 nights in a suite. Bill was about 3k.. Done with them.
We attended a fundraising concert on the 3rd floor where the pool was. The band was great, easy to dance to, and we had great cocktails. Overall nice place to throw a party, or fundraiser.
Awesome location downtown next to Double D's coffee dessert. It has a parking garage but can get packed during the weekend or holiday. $9 a night. A pool is on the 3rd floor. Rooms are on the smaller side but very modern. I compare Aloft to the poor man reconciliation. No bath tub.
Very nice staff and it was nice to see they were animal-friendly. Our room had a great view and the hotel is located right down town. Only criticisms: our room smelled weird when we got back from being out. Sort of like BO or a wet towel. There was also a divet in the right side of the bed that made it a bit uncomfortable.
A good location downtown. We were able to park overnight and walk where we needed. We had a king bed on the 6th floor. There was some noise for them Street but nothing too loud.
Great central location in Asheville. Super friendly staff. Willing to point out all the cool things to do. The lounge is great with an outside patio that other places would kill for. The dog adoption program is something I've never seen before but glad they have it. The only place I will stay in Asheville.
