Affordable price, friendly staff and clean rooms, a little bit noisy in the morning but overall a nice place.

This place is dated and not maintained properly. You can find better places at same price.
For starters all the rooms are tiny, beds are hard as a rock. And in many rooms the old heater does not work at all and if it does it's not very warm. There is a cold draft from outside because of the window AC unit also it is very noisy from the thin walls. The refrigerators in the rooms do not work, the TV channels barely come in at all, and the toilet does not flush. The maintenance issues never end!
I have stayed in many hotels in New York City and have never dealt with so many problems. The people there are rude and not willing to help.response / report this review -

It was a budget find. And it worked perfectly for what I needed. Spent the night there for my birthday with my husband and a few friends. Perfect. Walking distance to Central Park and other tourist sites. Will stay again.

Over priced. Tiny rooms. No king beds. Staff were cool. Luggage room service was excellent. Location is the best feature of this place. You can actually walk to Central park, Times Square and many more attractions.

The location and price are the best things about this hotel. The concierge was very helpful and made out stay much better, also. The hotel is dated, but I appreciated it's uniqueness and history. You can get a better looking room with the same amenities in the same location for hundreds of dollars more a night. The subway stations are very close and the park is right around the corner. Going to lower Manhattan takes less than 30 minutes. The room was also larger than expected. Having stayed in more fancy hotels in the city, this room was the largest of any of the others. And it was cheaper. The concierge also changed our assigned room so that we wouldn't be disturbed by the street noise, although I don't think it was very loud at all. The maids are also very sweet and took good care of us. The hotel also offers free coffee and breakfast in the morning (from the pizza place next door(which has delicious pizza)). If you are looking for a hotel with a great location that you will be comfortable at, I suggest this one.

Location is great. About a block from Central Park and the theater/comedy club area. It's a great stay for the price if you're okay with a no frills, no special perks kind of hotel. The room and bedding appeared clean enough as well as the restroom. The room featured a window unit AC that you can actually adjust. View was the side of another building. Hotel front desk staff aren't particularly friendly or helpful. We asked if there was any ice available and they suggested we try asking the bar next door. We received better hospitality from the corner deli. If you're looking for a bargain hotel in manhattan that's in a good location, it's not a bad choice, just don't expect any above and beyond service.

The staff is cool, friendly, and the hotel is in a good location, but the hotel itself is extremely run down and the rooms lack any amenities whatsoever. Been to a Motel 6 before? Motel 6 is a 5 star hotel compared to the Park Savoy. My room featured a burnt out light bulb, a refrigerator that was broken and the world's hardest mattress. On a positive note, this place is cheaper than any of the surrounding hotels, in a great location and no one has been murdered there that I am aware of.

Horrible! Maybe I would have been able to look past the room that smelled like urine, the bug infestation we found, that broken air conditioner, the dirty bed linens, and the shear inadequacy and disgust of the whole experience had it not been for the worst part: the guys at the front desk. They do not deserve their jobs there. They are extremely rude, uninterested, and couldn't care less about your comfort. I assure you, they aren't the only budget option, go elsewhere.

Worst junk I've ever seen in my life. Bedroom is cold cold cold, no heater and no hot water in the building. The people working here contradict themselves and lie to your face.
Had to get out of the room and book a stay at the Wellington hotel instead. Much better option for the same cost.response / report this review -

Spend the extra $40 on a nicer hotel.
The heat doesn't work. It's 56 degrees in our room. There's a draft. The room smells like urine. The room is so small it barely fits a bed. Bed smells like urine. Sheets are stained. All we were given was a fitted sheet and two flat pillows. No hot water. The water doesn't even get Luke warm. Spiders and roaches everywhere and the oh so wonderful bed bugs!

I stayed at the Park Savoy Hotel just as a decent affordable place to spend the night. My room was small and the bathroom was even smaller. The staff was friendly enough. Overall the room was just what we paid for, a bed, TV, desk, phone, and a bathroom with the minimum. It did have free WiFi and a free breakfast the next morning that was just a bagel and coffee. The location was amazing! We were less than a mile away from central park and a small walk from Times Square. I would stay here again in the future because it is a safe place to stay in the city at an affordable price. It doesnt have all the bells and whistles but at the price I paid I wouldn't have expected much more than what they offered.
