The localization is absolutely perfect. The room was clean and the bathroom was really small. I wasted a couple of minutes trying to figure out how to get hot water from the shower. The heating was a bit noisy and the room service seemed a bit unexperienced. I didn't have the chance of trying the breakfast.
Nicely situated near park and walking distance to theatre district. Room was good. Awful experience with out of control partying guests til 5am on same floor. Front desk was no help. Could have been 3-4 Stars.
The perfect locationon 55th between 6th and 5th. Close to the park and Time square. From the person at front desk to room service. all nice & Clean room and good size for New York.
By far one of the worst places I have ever stayed at. I really would of not complained if it was just the bad beds, dirty drawers and carpet. The fact that housekeeping went through my things makes me give them a 1 star. I wish I could put 0. They stole my wallet with my debit cards and ID and to top it all off they even took my kids birth certificates. Since we didn't use that wallet unfortunately we didn't notice until check out time. I've stayed in many states and even counties not once has this happened. I strongly suggest to be careful booking here and save yourselves a headache. Beware of the thieves at this location.
The barmaid, Naomi is awesome. She makes her own fruit purees for her delicious, sophisticated feature cocktails. Great drinks, great mixologist!
It was very nice. Staff was helpful and patient. Will absolutely come back
Great location and friendly staff. Rooms are clean, just wish there was free WiFi in the rooms but no real complaints here. I'd stay there again.
We stayed as a family of 8 in 4 rooms and found the hotel and the location on our part great. My husband and I were given a king room which was clean and comfortable with an out look over the street. Our other family members on the other hand had run of the house rooms and we had to beg for one bar fridge to share between all of us or else there was a charge of $ 25 each fridge ! These rooms also had NO out look other than a brick wall or fire escape. One room also had so many maintenance faults , such as leaking water in the room and bathroom that they had to be shifted. The cost of wi fi at $ 15 is unacceptable too . And a coffee maker would be a nice touch .
If these issues could be rectified or you get an upgraded room , then your laughing ! ( thank you Anthony at the front desk for doing your best to look after us )
My husband and I made a last minute plan to visit Ocean City Maryland, we found this hotel "The Shoreham" available to stay. We were not sure what to expect since it was last minute booking and had no other options! But , it was wonderful, Very clean, quiet and friendly!! Did not hear any noise at all at night!! Very peaceful! We will Definitely make this hotel our choice for all future visits, which will be annually! Thank you for a wonderful experience!
Stayed for a night. Reasonable price in a decent location. Surprisingly not even a fridge in the room. Very basic if you need a place to crash. Oddly enough we arrived 2 hours before check-in, just to drop the bags, and they told us that out room was clean and ready but we could pay an addition $100 to get access to it. We declined, but it's the first time I've been told them room is ready but asked to pay to get it!
For the price it's a really good value. No frills, small rooms but modern and clean. Very satisfied with our stay
Nice hotel near central Park and at walking distance from Times Square. The room is small but it has everything that's necessary, minus the wifi which is not free unless you stay in the hotel hall.
The room was clean and comfortable. Smelled like bleach when we checked in, so we had to run a fan for an hour to get the stench out. The bed and pillows were comfortable. We could not hear our neighbors, so sound insulation inside is good, but I could hear a lot of city noise from the outside. But then, we live in a quiet area and maybe we are just not used to loud city noise. It would have been great to have a coffee maker in the room. This is the first hotel I have been in, that does not have a coffee maker. There were also no complementary hot water or coffee in the lobby that most hotels we have stayed at now offer. Free WiFi in the lobby, but the lobby is tiny, so it always appeared overcrowded. Overall good experience, and we would use this hotel again.
The staff was very nice. The rooms are dated but there was a massage chair that was superb.
Upon check-in, they did not receive my reservation details from Expedia. I had to wait an hour in the lobby at 12:45 in the middle of the night. Hotels are meant to go and rest up. I had to wait an hour and a half to get into my room. I was not told that parking next door in the lot is not free, in the morning I was hit with a $54 bill for parking overnight. The lady in the front desk, Elizabeth Ramirez was very rude and arrogant. After asking for an explanation on the parking fee, she kept repeating, "Parking isn't free, parking isn't free". Customers deserve a better explanation than repeating the same sentence over and over. I'm sure Shoreham doesn't want their reputation to be that way. Elizabeth Ramirez needs some serious customer service coaching..
