It's a beautiful hotel with great views. The rooms are comfy and the bathrooms are very chic. (There's no mini fridge in the rooms, sorry!) A man named Emmanuel was extremely helpful in helping me settle in. Yet, my experience with the other workers here was terrible! We weren't greeted at the bar while others were. I was refused help with my luggage though I was willing to pay, and that's just the half of it. I love the hotel, but I wouldn't return.

My husband and I stayed here for my first trip to NYC. The hotel itself was nice. The rooms were small but really clean and the bed was comfortable. They only have a couple of elevators to use on either side of the building. They can be somewhat slow at times but we never had to wait longer than a few minutes for one. My one biggest complaint is that the staff could be a little friendlier. They weren’t exactly rude, but their responses were clipped and the tone of voice just sounded like they did not want to help. The men were actually friendlier than the women. We talked to one guy behind the desk and he was just the seeetest person. Overall I would definitely stay here again on another trip though! The location is fantastic. Just a walk from Central Park, Rockefeller Center, Times Square, Radio City, and a bunch of other landmarks! I had the best time for my first trip to the city!!

Just doing some reminiscing of my stay here in 2011. It was my first time in NYC and I absolutely loved it. I’m a history buff, so to know the great pride this hotel took in its own history was very exciting to me. I appreciated the hotel staff and accommodations. When I bring my family to NY one day, we will most certainly be staying here. Thanks!

this was a great place for our Labor day weekend in New York. Ideally situated near Central Park and the MOMA. Subway access practically at every corner. We went to the US OPEN one day and found it to be a very tolerable trip on the subway. Many delis in the immediate vicinity of the Park Central for a classic New York dining experience. Times Square was a 10 minute walk which as close enough but also far enough to be away from the craziness (if that makes sense). Definitely a do over. Only problem was waiting for the elevators.

Huge hotel. Very crowed and noisy. Few elevators and very slow, so prepare for a long queue in peak times. There's no restaurant (breakfast has to be done outside), only a bar service in the big hall closing early at night. Good gym club at third floor. Good hotel but you can find better (more intimacy) at the same costs.

Whomever decided to put the fitness center on the 3rd level of the hotel right next to the rooms is a first class moron. Of course some people like to work out early to start the day so you get to enjoy hearing every dumbbell hit the ground whenever anyone decides to workout (530 am for me till about 730) When the rates are over $600 you think the staff would maybe give a discount for that room or show some sympathy. Instead they said "I know.sorry" and then an awkward pause and a shrug of the shoulder. Awful experience for a ridiculous price. Poor service and once again who the F puts the fitness center next to rooms, fields many complaints I'm sure regarding it, and tells those guests basically they know you had a bad stay, sorry, have a good day here's your $700 bill. Won't be staying there again.

Pretty quiet hotel , staff not as nice and helpful as they should be they choose who they like to help. Rooms are nice they always clean very well and deliver clean towels right on time without you asking. The area is great very close to time square and shopping lots of eating places. Pretty expensive hotel. Heads up if your looking to save money this place doesn't have refrigerator or microwave or coffee pot like most hotels so you have left overs or would like to eat in your room you can't.

This hotel can be found in a central location conveniently near the subway, Central Park, and plenty of great places to eat and drink. The room was well taken care of but did not include a fridge or microwave as some do. The lobby and lounge were also well manicured. The hallways, on the other hand, were outdated and rundown. Door frames had chips that we're covered poorly by paint and the service cart were littered throughout the hallways at all times. The entire staff was extremely nice and respectful.

An overall good experience, and would stay there again. Like its name, centrally positioned and therefore a great place to set off from each day to explore the city. Comfortable bed and a large TV were the many positives about staying here, and compared to its competitors, well priced. The few things to take note of if you are planning to stay there are that the lift service is limited considering the size of the hotel, (barely 2 running whilst we were there), so at peak times there were long waits either trying to get down or up to your room due to crammed lifts. The other thing is that it is not immediately apparent when booking, but there is an additional "facilities" charge of some $31 per day which may catch some by surprise at a point of no return as they begin the checking in process. I still however continue to recommend this hotel if you're visiting New York.

I would like to thank the management and front desk for great hospitality. These people go above and beyond for customer care and service. Hotel is clean and beautiful. We had an early flight so ended up getting in way too early for check in and didn't sleep all night while flying. The staff did everything they could to try and get us an early check in, during a fully booked morning. We were in a room by 11am (with extra fee) never was I more grateful to get some rest
Room was nice clean spacious and a beautiful view.
Great employees! This is somewhere I would always want to come if that's how they pay attention to everyone

Great location, walking distance to times square and central Park. Maid service was was very good and rooms were always clean. Front desk was always helpful too. My only real complaint was the large amount of schools using the hotel. I assume they were mostly there for Carnagie Hall but every morning we came down stairs the lobby was insainly packed which spilled over to the lounge area as well. We never ended up using the lounge as it was almost always full of kids. But that's nit picking picking, over all our stay was outstanding.

We came to NY to watch Hamilton on Broadway and wanted a place that was walkable. This hotel really came in clutch and was exactly what we were looking for at a great price. Service was so thoughtful it made me wonder why other people don't check out this gem. BONUS - If you're a drinker, I heavily recommend the 18 Manhattan at the bar, you won't regret it!

Park Central is a touristy hotel: a big box of dozens of rooms per floor where you'll find groups of shopping tourists crowding the lobby waiting for their airport shuttles.

Localization is perfect for midtown: close to the Times Square area, the Central Park, etc.

Room infrastructure is good albeit a lack of minibars, coffee machines and tea kettles, available upon request but subject to tight availability. But bed sheets are old and feel old on your skin.

Service is below average. During the two nights we've stayed here so far, cleaning staff leaved vacuum cleaners and gear carts on hallways overnight. We were "upgraded" to a room with two queen beds instead of one king bed, and located a mile away from the elevator. Also, letting the hotel know we were in our honeymoon made no difference whatsoever.

The gym is below average as well: little variety and poor quality made us buy day plans at the Sheraton across the street.

Maid woke me up at 8am the day of my checkout, just to "check if you're there". No sense.

Last I asked for a late checkout and they said no because the hotel is full, which makes absolutely no sense since I wasn't asking for an overnight room: late checkouts are dealth with with a juggling of cleaning staff. That's all. Now I couldn't shower before my 10 hour flight :(

Lovely atmosphere. The staff are efficient, helpful, and friendly. The rooms are nicely decorated and clean. And it's close to everything you need in NYC, like central park and times square. I can't wait to visit again.

Hotel is beautiful and conveniently located in the city. They were super accommodating in letting us check in early and store our bags after check in. Rooms were large and very clean. Only complaint was that the thermostat in the room didn't really seem to do anything. It was a little cold and turning up the tempature didn't change the air temp. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Would stay there again if I was in the city and spending time in that area.
