My friend I stayed for three weeks. The staff is amazing. Everyone of them went out of their way to make it wonderful in their own way. I would stay here every time If and when I come back. Very clean and homey. Thank you all.

Nice little beach bungalow hotel right on the water. The views literally do not get better. Great location and the dude at the front was helpful and nice. The rooms need a little update but, it's cozy and sweet none the less.

Booked a room for a one night
stay and to my surprise it was disappointing to say the least.
Upon arrival we were told the room would not be ready until four. We did get it a little sooner like 3:00. We were given keys and upon entering
we immediately noticed a somewhat distressed room.
Carpet was frayed, color scheme was drab, sliding glass door to the deck did not lock and was so old that it looked dirty. Couldn't enjoy the view through the stained class doors. Shower head was lose from the wall, floor after taking a bath was totally wet. And after complaining about the slider not being able to lock the young man who was sent to repair it was unable to repair it because of not having the right parts available. So we had to go the entire night with an unlocked sliding door.

It is true that the views are great thru clean glass & the beach is right there but we were disappointed with the room & most likely will not return. .Dont stay in room 304.

Nice location with lots of shops and restaurants to walk to. Right on the beach so u can't really go wrong. Free breakfast. Parking kinda a nightmare, had to rush back from walking around to move my vehicle so someone else could get out. View from room 301 attached

I've been coming here for 23 years. It's old and you know it. The location is great which is why we go there. The pool needs to be resurfaced and is used alot. They also have a hot tub. The location right at the front of the hotel along the side walk attracts outsiders who try and get in and use the pool and suana and hot tub. Stay out if your not a paying customer! Some rooms need some remodeling, some rooms have newer wood floors. Some have air-conditioning but the units are noisy and the rooms by the parking lot can hear alot of traffic noise. Bring earplugs! Or pay more for the ocean view rooms. The WIFI is very slow and may not hold a connection so don't count on doing alot of online stuff in your room. There is a free computer in the lobby to use for printing boarding passes. They have a free breakfast with waffle makers, they do run out of things so get there early. When staying you can borrow beach chairs, umbrellas & beach towels(free) and boogie boards(for a fee) they are good Tommy Bahama chairs and umbrellas. The beach is a steep walk down so wear sandles that won't slip off. Some of the rooms have vinyl blinds which give good privacy but don't block the light so bring some large binder clips and ask for an extra beach towel ( the dark blue ones work best) use the clips to attach the towel to the top of the blinds. Go to Ralph's food store and buy some snacks & bottled water to keep in the small refrigerator. The tap water tastes bad. It's alot of work to vacation here with all the steps and steep walkways so make sure your in good shape!

Laguna Riviera is a throwback motel atop the bluff that leads to the beach. The rooms are all situated facing the ocean, and many of them have semi-private patio with tables and lounges. Some rooms have more amenities than others like remodeled bathrooms and AC units. The beach is a short walk down a pathway, and the area is noticeably less crowded than the main Beach area downtown, which is a five minute walk away. I've been coming here for three years straight and look forward to returning.

Cozy, clean. Great service in a prime location. Management was wonderful in helpful local information in addition to providing extra towels and sheets.

Can't imagine why 4.4 stars. Must be from paid reviewers. Very old and run down. Our carpet had not been vacuumed. There were clumps of dirt on the floor. Most of the metal in the room had rust on the surfaces, including a wall unit that was completely rusted out. The "security" door leading into the covered garage was locked of course, but the top half of the door was missing. .. anyone could come in. Also, no attendant in the office until 9am! Worst hotel I've ever experienced.

It's a cute little place. The guests are friendly and from all over. It's been there a while and family owned/operated. It has a local vibe. It has more of a home feel then a motel feel but with the room service! The grounds are well kept and beautiful. The landscaping and mood lighting at evening make it romantic. It's quant, and low key. The staff are friendly enough. Our first day there they seemed a little on edge and impersonal. But maybe it was a busy day. Lots of shops around the area. There is a Ralph's grocery just a block north, and tons of amazing food options within walking distance. (A couple blocks.) The beach is great here too of course! It's older and while it is kept up there are little things here and there that can be annoying. Like, not enough outlets in reach, or broken springs in the hide-a-bed, and a tiny bathroom. But none of that would keep us from coming again at any time. The pool must not have been heated, so it was a little brisk at night when the kids wanted to go swimming. The maintenance staff were awesome! Very friendly. It was worth the cost, and we enjoyed our visit. Next time we are for sure getting a room with a deck.

As a returning guest of many years I am saddened by the state of the room we got. Front desk had recommended it as an upgrade and the room configuration, pull out bed quality and sand on the floor were quite a disappointment. Our room was 305. Great views and wonderful staff as usual.

Laguna Riviera is a beautiful and unique resort right on the beach. Staff are helpful and courteous. Right in the middle of town, lots of shops and restaurants close by. Laguna shuttle stop just steps away.
