They said they are a humble place, they are.
Stayed there two nights, indeed close to downtown if you drive. Holiday lights are festive. Breakfast options are good. Clean room. I will stay there again if I come back for work. Not five stars due to wall still not sound proof enough, second night have some very excited guests

I do not often write reviews. I have spent the last week in Marriott properties and have been impressed until last night. We have stayed at this property before and found it very nice, however we had a much different stay this time. Upon arrival we found the homeless of KC wandering the parking lot and trying to gain entrance to the building. That isn't completely the hotel's fault but some additional lighting and security would be nice.
The floor in my bathroom was disgusting. Our feet stuck to the floor. There was also a large bare footprint that did not belong to us in the bathroom. The tub was dirty enough that we skipped our shower. We could have, should have complained then, but when one arrives at 10 pm after a long day and a week of travels having to load up the luggage and move is not on the top ten list.
This hotel was not up to the standards of the other Marriott properties that we stayed at this week .

My experience for four days at the Fairfield Inn was that these people know how to “do hotels” right. Perfect. Couldn’t be more satisfied.
Amazingly welcoming and friendly staff. Room was very, very clean, bed was comfortable, plenty of lamps, nice desk/work area, shower was “just right”, attractive decor that was nice to look at, and there were no outside or hallway noises all night. The breakfast foods were fresh and had a good variety. Shuttle was prompt, driver was helpful and kind.
I stay at hotels often, and even though I’ve stayed in fancier and costlier hotels, I don’t recall any that had everything as near-perfect as this one. Truly exceptional.

Fairfield Inn was a decent stay. It's was convenient to the Kansas City downtown attractions. It was less than 2 miles from Power & Light. Service was very good, breakfast was nice, and the rooms were clean. The hotel is older, the rooms and bathrooms have been updated but the lack of modern construction resulted in a lot of traveling sound from other rooms and hallways. The shuttle drivers for this location weren't super friendly or very accommodating. Overall a good stay.

My room was very clean. The TV was modern and allowed access to YouTube, Netflix, Hulu, etc. I didn't eat breakfast, but I did grab a banana. The food looked good and I wished I had time to eat. There is a nice iron fence protecting the parking lot, so I felt like my vehicle was relatively safe. The staff was polite and efficient. Good experience!

It's an OK place to stay short term. The staff is very nice and recommended a good local restaurant. Close to Crown Center. The room carpet is thin and I kept stepping on tack strip in the bathroom doorway. I found it hard to believe the toiletries are genuine Paul Mitchell as the bar of soap was the hardest, detest bar of hotel soap I've ever seen. The room air conditioner didn't work well and it seemed to be a known issue, as it had what looked like a sneeze shield bolted onto it to direct air into the room but the curtains were mildewed from the condensation. We were just there for one night.

This is a very nice hotel. The hotel is close to downtown restaurants and bars and is in a nice, safe location. I was really surprised at how nice this hotel is and how comfortable the rooms are. We were also really enjoyed breakfast and the variety of food is the best I've seen from any hotel. They also had a shuttle with an awesome driver that ran until 10:30 at night. I'd love to stay here again.

Reasonably clean, but we wound up in a 1st floor room in a corner that was humid and a but musty. The AC unit was old and didn't put out well or read an accurate temp.

The best part of the hotel was the breakfast buffet. Good selection including two waffle irons and two egg dishes as well as other stuff like cereal and lots of fruit.

I would stay here again, but would ask for a higher floor.

I would give a zero star! We came from Omaha to go to the Garth concert in May 2017. We were shuttled to the sprint center and told we would be picked up no matter how late it was. Well after the concert no shuttle! We were forced to walk 45 minutes back to the hotel. Called manager several times, goes to voicemail! Never been to KC and was stranded and the hotel would not do anything to help all 30 of us! Never stay at the Fairfield Inn. And I will never come back to KC AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!

So far I have had a great experience with Fairfield Inn. They have a snack bar that you can buy stuff from which is nice because I woke up late and missed breakfast. The trolley service is also very convenient. They dropped me off to my convention and picked me back up. The room itself was clean and nice. The showe had great water pressure

Stayed here recently and had a bad experience. I don't like to blast companies with bad reviews online without giving them a chance first, but they have not responded in the last two weeks. We left multiple messages for the hotel manager, as well as the corporate complaint line.

We arrived for a concert we were attending and didn't have much time, just wanted to check in quick and head out for the show. We were given a room, go enter the room and there was a guest already in that room. They had to give us another room and the mix up caused us to miss the opening band at the concert. This also left us uneasy for our belongings to be in the room. Who knows what we could have walked in on in the other room as well.

The new room also had a clogged bathroom sink, and the bathroom door didn't latch shut. Overall a bad experience, and the hotel has not responded to our complaints.

This place is so cute; I just loved it. I stayed just one night so my experience is a bit limited. It appears to be brand new. It's got some really groovy carpeting throughout that will probably look dated in 10 years. The front desk staff was super professional and friendly. My room was huge, clean and well laid out. The breakfast was fantastic. Plenty of parking. I truly enjoyed every moment.

What a wonderful experience! The hotel is beautiful! The staff is extremely friendly! The room was perfect! It's a good size & the beds are very comfortable. We really liked the pool. Most of the time the room & the pool water are kept way too hot. This one is kept at a temperature where everyone can actually enjoy themselves. When we come back this way we will make sure we stay here again!
