Nice hotel with beautiful view. In walking distance of Power and Light district. Friendly staff, easy to use parking and on site starbucks. What else do you need?

My girlfriend and I were in town for a Raiders game (she is a Raiders FAN-a-tic), Our flight arrived prior to the normal check-in time. I called after we landed and asked i we could check our luggage or get an early check in. We were told to just come in. We had been upgraded and the room was ready. Kudos to Ashley for the upgrade and whomever it was that ensured our early check in. We had one minor issue, our toilet made this annoying noise every 15 minutes or so, we have a toilet like that at home so we survived the first night, but on our way to the football game we stopped at the front desk and met Shane and explained the situation. He immediately took ownership, empathized and apologized. Offered breakfast and club level access. Fantastic service. Everyone there was very personable and hospitable. I am a manager at a property in Carol Stream, Il near Chicago and I realize that consistency and reliability is key to great service, and you got it right. The restaurant may have been a little overwhelmed when we were there but did okay under the circumstances.
    Excellent Job!!!

Great location in Downtown KC. Close to convention center. Staff at the front desk and the concierge lounge are wonderful. Runs are a bit dated but overall a great experience.

Really nice building, but our king suit was kind of lacking. The carpets could use a good washing every couple of months or so was that blood crusted on the floor?? The spare sheets for The pull out had questionable stains as well.. The bar gets pretty busy at night, but you can take the drinks to your room! Other than that, the views are nice all around above the fourth floor at least.

Loved how clean the whole hotel was. I'm not sure of the brand but the bathroom soaps were pretty sweet. I would recommend staying here. Check out the Power and Light district right down the street.

My friends room wasn’t even cleaned. They switched rooms. They found old food in their refrigerator in the new room. We had long hair on the bathroom floor. The bed was comfortable. Who knows if it was even clean.

My partner and I stayed here this past weekend. We met a lot of friendly people in Kansas City but the most unfriendly people we encountered worked here behind the desk. I've never felt like such a burden and inconvenience somewhere I'm spending almost $700 to sleep for 2 days. The people working acted like they had something much more important to do other than deal with me. A simple smile, thank you, or "Enjoy your stay" would have at least gone a little ways. Every time we approached someone behind the desk we got cold stares and short answers. Our room was clean and comfortable but unwelcoming overall. I would maybe consider giving them 2 stars because the ladies cleaning the rooms and the gentlemen working the parking garage were pleasant and shared a laugh or two with us. We will return to Kansas City but we will most definitely be finding other sleeping arrangements. A real shame as it was in a fun part of town.

The hotel was very nice, rooms were great. There is an outdoor pool on the 7th floor, it's in the shade starting around noon through the rest of the day. No continental breakfast but there is a Starbucks in the lobby. Parking in the ramp is $19 per day, which beats $50+ in Chicago. Within a few blocks of the power and light district. Overall a great hotel.

We've stayed at the Marriott and Hotel Phillips when we come to downtown KC and love both, but neither had room this time so we decided to give Crown Plaza a shot even though some of the reviews weren't stellar. Yes, some parts of the hotel had a little "character"; Yes, the rooms were a little small (especially the bathroom); but we loved the hotel, the staff, the view, the bed, the pool and our stay! You do have to pay to park, but it's only a few more dollars for valet. Totally recommended for anything near Power&Lights or Sprint Centersuper close and easy. Loved that there was a Starbucks in the lobby and Cosentino's market nearby as well. We will be back!

A good location for a business related stay. Right across the street from the convention center with adequate amenities. Rooms are fairly standard, nothing special but clean and comfortable. Service is fine, but staff was overrun at check-in and we're not able to furnish rooms at check-in time. A short wait was required. Not a big deal, but could matter to some with a tighter schedule.

The hotel staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The room was very nice and the beds were so comfortable. I need to know where they buy the pillows!
Room service was a bit iffy, my breakfast was half an hour late and my wife got a salad that consisted of an entire head of romaine (no joke) with some cheese sprinkled on it, for a ridiculous price. I tried ordering to-go from the restaurant; I was the only one there, and they still screwed up the order.

I would still recommend staying at the hotel. Be aware- parking is not free.

Great service and accommodations. Beds were comfortable and clean. I was visiting KC in order to attend a trade show at the convention center, conveniently located just a block away. Parking spaces seemed limited, but not terrible. Would stay here again.
