We attended a holiday party for my husband's company held in one of the ballrooms and foyer. We enjoyed the atmosphere at the Westin. The foodwas excellent. We utilized the valet service and were happy with the prompt service.

Great location. Great atmosphere. Send like most of the rooms would have a great view, ours did. If staying on a weekend you can use crown center parking for free and not be too inconvenienced. Rooms are spacious, clean, and set up well. Beds are comfortable. Pillows were too soft, but pillows are always an issue at hotels, I'm starting to just always bring my own if at all possible. They do get you with fees everywhere, have to pay for internet, pay for parking (see above for one acception). Pay more than expected for room service. No free breakfast, though the buffet in the attached restaurant is in line with what you pay for everything else.

Stayed here with the family over Thanksgiving. Service was superb and the room was nice and clean. The front desk people were always very helpful and smiling. The restaurant was a little pricey. The hotel has walkways connecting it with a lot of local attractions which was great. Would definitely stay here again.

Nice downtown hotel. It is kept clean. Perfect for work or conventions. It is connected to a small mall with a good food court. In the winter you can literally walk to a restaurant and never step in the cold. It is also connected to Union Station in Kansas City which has some fancier restaurants. It is located close to downtown. It has a great 4 star restaurant across the street.

We had a great time. Our room was very comfortable and quiet. Great location that's close to all sorts of things to do. Kudos to Leo at the front desk. He was very helpful.

Hotel was nice, clean and not terribly hard to navigate. My bill had charges from the hotel restaurant that were not mine and they removed them without question. I would definitely stay again the next time I'm in KC.

Over rated. Out dated rooms, slow and expensive valet service. Waited about 15 min. Our concert was cancelled 2 weeks ago, but no chance for refund. You pay for EVERYTHING. one free bottle of water for coffee. WiFi and other thing only available by signing up for something. Not worth $260 parking $25. I've stayed in better rooms for $100.

THIS IS NOT A SAFE PLACE TO STAY!!. My wife had stayed here the week of October 9th and in the middle of the night a drunk guest stumbled into her room. She was staying in this room alone so you could imagine the fear this would have on a woman in the middle of the night. The hotel front desk had gave keys and her room number not knowing the room was already taken. No mistake of the drunk guest but a pathetic mistake by the hotel representative. After all done and said they offered her breakfast and to take care of a $2.00 room service bill. Pretty disgusting gesture after risking a females safety in the middle of the night. I would review other local hotels before risking your loved ones safety at this place.

Nice hotel with some interesting architecture. The staff was friendly and was able to give me good information regarding local transportation and venues. Very tidy. The breakfast buffet looked professional and quite delicious. Very nice.

Fun place to visit even just walking through. Grandiose lobby and the garden exhibit is simply stunning! You should definitely take the link for while you are here. It is a glass walk way that crosses streets and connects several hotels and historical buildings and malls.

Beautiful hotel with friendly staff. Decent location, with good proximity to the Kansas City trolley that runs up and down main Street. Attended a conference at the hotel that was well maintained by the hotel staff and signage was clear to patrons to direct to the appropriate rooms. Hotel rooms are above average and the amenities are nice.

Great views from the rooms overlooking downtown. Get a higher level room if you can, it's worth it! Staff is outstanding and I mean above and beyond I'm a BIG way! Awesome place! I will stay there again next time I visit Kansas City! Adjoining is Crown Center with shops and restaurants galore.
Not to be missed is the WWI Museum within walking distance, just across the street. Wonderful pictures and well written stories and facts I never knew about the war.
Go up in the tower for an incredible view!

Rooms are very clean and comfortable. The outdoor pool has a nice indoor entrance. There is only a very small side of the pool that is shallow enough for kids and the indoor entrance does not lead to it. When you go through the tunnel you are in the 7ft deep section. Other than that the pool is very nice and clean and the indoor hot tub is a nice addition. Tons of great food options within walking distance. A lot of great attractions/monuments within walking distance as well.

We stayed at the Westin the night of our wedding. My sister-in-law reserved it for us, noting that it was our wedding night when she reserved it. We were booked in a room with a shared doorway to another room. When we arrived, after midnight, there was a group of women in the adjacent room having a party and making A LOT of noise. After awhile we finally called the front desk, who said they would take care of it. Half an hour later, no change. We called the front desk, same response, same results. I finally got up and went down to the front desk, and they again told me they would deal with it. The sound level never tapered off. Eventually we were fell asleep we were so exhausted. After we got back from our honeymoon, we called them to tell them about the issues. The manager was very understanding and offered us a free night at one of their suites. Very nice. So we called them up a few months later to use the free room. We were told that the manager who promised us a free room no longer worked there, they had no record of a credit for us, and they were, under no circumstances, going to offer us a free room. Needless to say, the service we received at the Westin was absolutely appalling. Without question, it was the worst customer experience I have ever experienced.
