Great hotel ! But had the very worst experience with the FD supervisor Brian or so I was told he was I got the strangest feeling from this disrespectful sounding person already Leary when he called from a blocked number walking on his sell phone just being rude. But it was a business hotel issues and between ranting on I could hear another conversation he kept carrying on with while not caring to hear, ask or attempt to help.
No customer service classes there for sure as he loudly spoke about nothing I understood. My concerns never mattered because he say he knows all but clue less and had a loose relationship with honesty. I'm so sad i allowed my feeling to be hurt by a person like this I just always expect at least some respectful people smiling and being helpful.
Yes Stay at this great place but good luck with any accidental acourance that needs manager anything. Unfortunately i would never go back there again just because I stay away from low budget sounding staff with
Poor decision-making skills not even at work while he calls. Today I will sadly think twice before I ever pick the embassy hotel again. poor ratings no credibility for the brand name. I love being a Hilton Honors Diamond members but have to be honest.
Excellent place to stay. Staff was very friendly and extremely helpful. Best place to go for A stay which included breakfast and happy hour as part of your stay!
Stayed here for four nights. Great service, reception and nice clean room. The complimentary breakfast and night reception was great as well. Good food and free drinks. Staff was very friendly and helpful.
Great rooms but back to dark ages with their Internet connections. Decent breakfast but if you love coffee, bring your own. Their coffee is horrible, cheap stuff. No parking. You must pay $50 bucks a night to have valet parking no other options. If you don't mind walking, go around the block to find a decent street parking. The valet people seem agressive and push for you to get valet parking!

After staying at the Embassy Suites downtown San Diego we realize what an amazing facility and location it is. The service was fantastic and the staff was extremely kind and assist us with all of our needs. The made to Order breakfast was simply outstanding and the room service was always taken care of in a timely professional and clean manner. I highly recommend the hotel for its amazing location staff meals and happy hour vibe.
The Embassy Suites is a nice hotel that is centrally located to seaport village and the boardwalk. The rooms are comfortable and spacious. They offer a really good cook to order breakfast. The hotel is also within walking distance (about a mile) to the gaslamp quarter. They only have valet parking, which is $50/night. They do not offer self parking.
Great location! Walking distance of the harbor! Safe area to walk in along the bay! Great air conditioned, spacious suites! Comfortable beds! 42" tvs! Great breakfast!
Would highly recommend this hotel! Very clean and spacious rooms. The staff is very kind and always trying to help whenever they can. Right across the street from little shops and restaurants on the bay. This is the only hotel we'll ever stay at in San Diego.
This is a beautiful hotel with amazing views! Sheila at the front desk is very friendly and welcoming, Breakfast is good and most of all consistent every morning, housekeepers are prompt and very efficient! The hotel is walking distance to the Stadium if you are looking to catch a Padres game I only had one small issue and the manager Brian made sure that it was resolved and I appreciate him for being so professional and understanding! I honestly highly recommend Embassy Suites Downtown San Diego!!!
BED BUGS ALERT!!!!!!!!!!!! This is the first hotel I saw beg bugs. Yes, It wasn't just one bed bug. I saw 4 that night.
My husband and I went to this hotel for our honeymoon last week and i woke up in the middle of night because my body was itchy. I didn't think it could be a bed bug because I never thought hotel like this would ever have bugs. I turned out i was wrong. I saw one bed bug on my side and i freaked out and went to the front desk. It was midnight. The guy at the front desk didn't seem too surprised or sorry saying that there was no room available and there is nothing they can do. He told me to go ahead and try to sleep on a couch or something. So i went back to my room thinking it might be just one, but i was wrong again. I saw FOUR MORE BED BUGS and my husband went down there and he finally transferred us to another hotel near there. It was 2am when we finally went to bed. That was our first honeymoon night at Embassy Suites.
I checked my body and i had 10 bug bites - my hand, arms, legs and butt. The itchiness lasted for 3 days (entire honeymoon) and the spots were swollen as well. How lucky to have bug bites all over my body when I came to San Diego from Texas to wear bikinis and lie down on the beach.
At the end, we did NOT have a pleasant time on our honeymoon and I kept waking up middle of the night for few days.
Guys. if you are staying at this hotel check the mattress before you go to sleep.
Stayed here in the last week for 3 nights. The hotel is very pretty. The room was clean and the staff was great. The included breakfast was good. Lots of options. The pool and hot tub were relaxing and clean. The bed was hard and uncomfortable to me and i didnt sleep very well. The ac was also super loud clicking on and off. Sounds like the unit is inside the bedroom wall. The valet charge of like $50 a day is kind of ridiculous and annoying. Anytime you want your car you have to text them then wait for them to get the car. I really would rather just park it myself. But overall the hotel is very nice.
Great location and priced well for the area. The hotel shows a little age but is very well maintained. The parking was expensive ($45/ day but free breakfast and happy hour helps off set this added cost. I would return.
The rooms are very spacious, and the bed is comfortable. The water pressure is a little low, but not horrible. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. We had an enjoyable stay.

Wonderful hotel in San Diego!
I've been utilizing this hotel twice a year for over the past 10 years for groups and very pleased with the overall experience. The staff is friendly and courteous, which is very important as some of the travelers are elderly and need extra time and attention. The cooked-to-order breakfast is great, plus it's included in the room rate, not to mention the Manager's Reception - my guests love it!
Overall this is an excellent hotel choice for your San Diego stay that is close to everything and newly renovated too.
