Upon check in Vito was not the kindest I would suggest some customer service training. The room itself smelt musty and there is no ability to let in fresh air because the windows have plexi glass screwed in over the window .My husband and I were complained about per security. We were greeted by 4 security officers at our door. We had just gotten out of the shower when the 4 officers came to the door and said we were being evicted and to pack up and leave. My room was $200 and the hotel does not offer any parking forcing you to valet which was another $45 only to be treated rude - and criminal. Being a rewards member this by far has been my worst experience ever with Marriott hotel. I would not stay in this hotel nor would I recommend it to anyone - the staff and hotel itself leave much to be desired. The building itself is historical and has some neat features such as an old vault.

The rooms are nice but a bit on the smaller side. The place has a very historic look and feel which I appreciate. However, they do not have any electric vehicle charging available.

Beautiful lobby and extremely courteous staff. I will stay here every time I am in that area. Marriott always does a great job so everything was fantastic. Room was very clean. This location gave us walking access to the entire Gas Lamp district as well as the USS Midway Museum. Great destination.

This hotel is really impressive. The building was a former bank, so the lobby and ground floor is stunning. Rooms are well sized and get great light. Location is pretty good as well: you're right by the gaslamp without being inside it and the noise. Can't wait to come back.

A nice clean hotel with a lot of San Diego history. The lobby still has the old grand bank feeling while also being a great place to hang out. Conveniently and centrally located downtown within walking distance to the Gaslamp or Seaport Village.

The location is perfect for heading downtown to the gas lamp and everything is within walking distance. The rooms are very clean and spacious. The only downside is if you ate stuck in a middle room the view of other guest rooms. If you are on the outside the views ate of downtown and are very nice. The staff is very friendly and helpful and had great suggestions for stuff to see and do.

Amazing hotel. Parking is horrible, but the valet staff is amazing. Hotel staff is incredibly nice and will do anything to support your experience. Follow through isn't the best, but I feel well served and respected. They have a well stocked gym with free weights. We have stayed several times at this property and being a Marriott Platinum rewards member pays dividends here! Beautiful property amazingly comfortable beds but what is top notch is the customer service it is amazing. Every staff member at this property goes out of their way to be helpful and super courteous! Always a pleasure to stay here! Oh and the rooms are gorgeous.

Nice downtown location. Parking was a little expensive ($45 valet parking per day). We enjoyed the tenth floor room. Very quiet. Staff was great.

Beautiful and unique hotel!! Excellent customer service! I'll definitely be back! Elaine Shea, Ashley Reid, and Sal Benavides in the catering dept. were FANTASTIC! Such a great place to host events!

Had to stay close to downtown for a party and stayed here one night. Nice hotel, my room was clean and tidy. Location was an easy walk to almost anywhere downtown. Staff was friendly and Omnia at the front was awesome she pointed out some food spots that I didn't even know about and I live in SD! I'll be back!

Incredible historic hotel with friendly staff and cool bar (great happy hour). The whole hotel is in an old bank and the character remains. Rooms are a little on the small side, but the decor and location make this place a very unique Marriott.

Needed somewhere to stay for a night. This was the perfect place: cute, convenient, clean & quaint. This hotel was super clean, simplistic (basic amenities) & efficient. Will we return here? Absolutely! Especially if we're in town to catch a game or concert at SD Live.
