Loved this hotel! Right in the middle of restaurants, eateries, pubs, theaters. Very nice accommodations and staff was excellent. Room was beautiful, very comfortable, had all amenities that I wanted. Cocktails when we arrived, no charge. Excellent experience. Only drawback was the street was loud at midnight, and garbage trucks woke us up early next am.

Gordon Ramsay made the reception area whitewhy is it back to being that horrid red in the pictures on your website. Rooms look cool though. I hope your stubborn and arrogant owner has changed for the better after Gordon Ramsay’s visitbtw did you changed the General Manager of the hotelwhen Gorden made the place better the General Manager was a lady.. and HOW IS CHEF BRIAN? He’s such a good man

My experience here was fantastic. Met by a very friendly and professional staff which was nice after a long flight from Miami. The room itself I would describe as swanky being a modern, yet very clean room which I enjoyed. The location was walking distance to a few great places to eat recommended by the staff. I will definitely stay here again next time in San Diego!

Service was beyond excellent and every staff member I interacted with was very friendly and helpful. Special shout out to Denzel at the front desk!!
Regarding the room itself, I loved the unique design and nice touches like the storage under the bed. Tech wise, it was really well thought out, the room had power plugs and cables to charge your iPhone or Android. The bluetooth connection to the TV was awesome as well and was the first thing I setup! :)

Rooms are clean and stylish. A great place for couples to stay, as everything is geared towards sex. The design inspiration comes from Ferrari. Very cool!

This place was awesome. We ended up in the hot tub suite, which was killer. The room was extremely large, with concrete floors, (which was perfect for our puppy). The jacuzzi was on an outside patio. Shower was open, like most of the rest of the place. Although higher scale, still very inviting and homely feeling.

This was a truly great experience! The Keating is a modern hotel in an old, historic building. The room was filled with modern gadgets and conveniences that really spoke to the tech lover in me. Each member of the staff was extremely friendly and made us feel we were in a fancy place. The only complaint is very minor. The remote for the TV didn't work. Even the replacement they brought was limited and couldn't shut it off. But the rest of the stay was so great that I'm not going to let such a small thing ruin the experience. Five stars!

Rooms are not very comfortable. No parking is available and you need to pay extra for valet. The hotel is next to several bars so loud music is playing every night. Would not recommend.

Location of The Keating is perfect but the design of the rooms is a little bit odd. If you are a light sleeper then it definitely would not suite you as the nearby venues are very noisy throughout the night.

Location was perfect if you are looking to use transit there! It's also very lively at night and you can grab food pretty much on any corner.
I wouldn't recommend this hotel if you are a light sleeper and wish to sleep before 2am. Thank god for noise cancelling headphones because you can hear every song that is playing in the pub on the main level of the building and that was the worst part.
When I spoke to the manager and staff about the noise, they were pretty skeptical about how much noise you could hear, especially since we were on the third floor! So please make sure your room is on the opposite side of the pub!
The shower head in our room was leaking a lot unless you held it at a certain angle and when we talked to house keeping about it, she said there's nothing she could do! There's also a lot of water that sprays out when you are showering cause there's no door to the shower.. haha
Overall, this hotel wasn't for me but the history of it is very cool and it's a great location if you are partying!response / report this review
