Very enjoyable stay for a weekend of shopping and a Patriots @ Bills NFL game. Large, clean room with a whirlpool in the bed area! Location was ideal and on a main street with beautiful historic, old homes, yet it was not noisy at all.
I booked a king sized room with a whirlpool for my boyfriend and I to stay in for the night while we were in Buffalo. Upon arrival everything was nice, the woman at the desk was polite and we were mostly happy with the room other than the fact that it was directly next to the front desk and we could hear EVERYTHING that happened at the front desk and lobby the entire time that we were in our room. We went to a Sabres game and headed back to the room for the night, hoping to have a relaxing bath and then head to bed. That would've been nice, but when we filled the tub the water turned a white/gray color, obviously NOT clean. After going to bed, I woke up late at night very sick. I went out to the front desk to ask for new sheets and a new pillow, and after standing there for over five minutes, a security guard finally approached me from the computers where he sat watching videos online. I would have approached him before, had I known he worked there. He informed me that he couldn't help me, and that people would be down from upstairs in five minutes to assist me. After waiting ten, I went back out to the desk and he said five more minutes. He then went upstairs himself, and came back five minutes later alone and empty handed. I told him that it was 4 AM and I just wanted to sleep, as I had to travel four and a half hours home the next day and checkout is at noon. He finally went and got me sheets, four, all of which I didn't need. All I needed was the fitted sheet and he didn't even bring that or a pillow. I then asked if there was anywhere I could put the sheet and pillow that I got sick on, he informed me that housekeeping comes in the morning and I had to keep the gross and smelly sheets and pillow in our room for the night. Annoyed and tired, I laid down a sheet for my boyfriend and I to sleep on and went to bed. Clearly the room and bed weren't cleaned properly, I went to the hospital when I got home and was informed that I had pink eye. Thank you for the less than helpful staff and the dirty bathtub and bed to sleep in, next time I'll pay $200 anywhere else for a room.
My husband and I LOVED our stay here! The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. The parking attendant helped us park our car and during our check in, he went outside to get our license plate number for the paperwork. Breakfast was carb heavy, but delicious and very clean and cozy. Our room was clean and cozy as well. 5/5 would recommend to a friend and we will definitely stay here again!
The wife and I have been going to Best Western on the avenue 2 to 4 times a year for nearly 8 years. We always have had an excellent experience. The newly renovated rooms are beautiful as well as comfortable. I would highly recommend it.
Nice but old. Could use an update and better breakfast. Bed is comfortable. Room is quiet. Good value.
Nice rooms, good service, nice part of town, and food value.
clean, comfortable and convenient to downtown Buffalo. Courteous staff. good value, though breakfast, and particularly the coffee was a bit spartan.
Very brief stay. Hotel was nice. Very friendly staff. Room and bathroom were clean. As with a lot of hotels, although the room was designated as non-smoking, there was a strong smell of smoke and even a burn hole in one of the blankets which we had to point out to the front desk to prevent additional charges. I would use this hotel again.
We were in town for a wedding, hotel was within a block of the rehearsal dinner and just a block from the wedding venue. Never had to move our car which made the free parking invaluable. Hotel is also just over a mile from the canal area, great place to tour ships and museums. Also not far from many other attractions - hotel staff was very kind and willing to help with directions, suggestions and public transportation questions. Also close to a variety of restaurants - lots of choices. Rooms were clean and beds were very comfortable. No street noises. Nice breakfast area, typical variety of choices. Would definitely stay again and recommend to others.
Excellent
Was there for several medical consultations, so it was not necessarily a 'good times ' trip. Staying at the BW On The Avenue, made the 400 mile trip enjoyable . From the courtesy of the employees, to the overall quality of the hotel, there's no doubt we will be back. If anyone is going to Roswell Park , give Best Western - On The Avenue a good look. I don't think you'll be disappointed. Back again on the 5/4/17. Again, the staff was fantastic. They really go put of their way to make your stay pleasant.
Great location. Helpful and courteous staff. Very impressed with room and decor. The outside doesn't do the interior justice. Located just minutes from all the things Allentown has to offer.
Great experience. Great staff. Very clean. Very friendly and helpful
Really nice space and wonderful lounge/parlor set up to hang with friends instead of crowding into a hotel room or sitting in a corporate feeling bar. Rooms were comfortable and spacious enough, but a little rough in the details - could use a touch up in the next year or two. Would definitely recommend.
For a Best Western its really nice, which is why I gave it 5 stars. Just don't expect a Hilton. The staff was very friendly and nice. The bed was clean, soft, warm and comfortable. I couldn't ask for more from a hotel.
