The ladies working the front desk were wonderful upon my arrival (Lynn and I missed the other woman's name, sorry). They multi tasked well, bantering well with the guests arrive at a late hour, answering my silly no brain questions, and keeping good spirits with each other. It's evident they work well together, which puts the guests at ease. Was wonderful after a long day of travel.
Had a really great customer service experience at this hotel this past week. My husband and I came in very, very late on Wednesday evening. We had a little trouble checking in because our bank apparently does some routine maintenance at that hour of the morning. The staff was incredibly patient and helpful, which was very meaningful being that we had just driven 6 hours following a long day at the office and we were truly exhausted. The next day, I was looking for guidance on exploring the area while my husband was in his meeting at D'Youville College (which is very close by). The assistant manager went above and beyond with very helpful recommendations and tips, he even offered me a shuttle to get me to my first destination (which I didn't take but was still appreciated the gesture). It was clear that they were very invested in providing me with a good experience. In today's day and age, that's all too rare! I want to mention that our room was pleasant and clean, we didn't spend much time there but it definitely served our needs. We ate breakfast in the cafe in the morning where I enjoyed a terrific latte and our breakfast was much heartier than expected and very tasty. They gave us a coupon on check in, so we saved a little money on that as well.
It was a really great customer service experience and we will definitely stay here again when we visit Buffalo. (I was able to walk to the train station quickly and get down to the waterfront in minutes for $2 train fare! the waterfront park is beautiful and the restaurants are fantastic - great trip!) Customer Service is alive and well at the Holiday Inn Buffalo - Downtown!
Stayed here about two weeks ago. Came to the bar for happy hour drinks with my boyfriend. Monica was tending bar and gave us the greatest customer service I have ever received. She was so funny and friendly. We are now regular customers of hers. The food was great too. I enjoyed the calamari and cheese sticks at happy hour price. We looked into the coffee bar and wine bar but we didn't eat there. There was a patio and fireplace.. As well as wine on tap! I love this place and the whole staff is great. Makes you feel very welcome.
A nice little stay. Close to historic places and bars/restaurants. It was also very close to the Anchor Bar which serves the famous Buffalo wings, to which they originated from.
Staff where very helpful and provided a great service.
Spacious rooms and a very friendly staff. We reserved a queen bed, but they didn't have one with fridge and microwave, so they gave us a king bed, because we are staying for a week. Anything you need, they help with. The restaurant and cafe has good food and drinks.
The food was good but the service was terrible. There was only 4 tables out of probably 25-30 filled and already 2 servers. It took about 15 minutes just to get water. Before our appetizers and salad came we drank two waters and a cocktail. The whole time we where there the server only came by a total of 3 times, once when we got our drinks, when the food came and last the check. I was disappointed in the server. Unfortunately I will not return. It cost almost $100.00 for 3 people and only one person has a mixed drink.
I would rather go to E.B. Greens fit that price and you get impeccable service. As you should
