This has to be the worst hotel that i have every booked. First you have all of the workers and housekeeping standing at the front desk goapeling about others. You can’t check in because everyone is just standing around and the receptionist is laugh along with everyone. The hallways smelled just like smoke. There were people playing loud music in the hallway. There were so many kids ruining up and down the hall with out supervision. The guy at the front desk had a hard time trying to figure out if a $100 bill was real so he started asking everyone was it real because they didn’t have a money marker. This hotel is overall unprofessional.
People is nice at the hotel. Problem is that the hotel is in terrible conditions. And guys do what they can to give the best service they can. I think that the complain must be directed at the corporate company.
I had a great stay, once I got in. I was unaware of the deposit required so it took a bit longer to check in. The most of staff was extremely friendly, and willing to accommodate to most request with out attitudes! Which was great. Room was CLEAN, BEDDING CLEAN, NO BUGS!! And actually Pretty quite at night even w the freeway so close it was very pleasant. I was pleased when I awoke refreshed and ready for my next journey. breakfast was good coffee strong. 😀 that was a plus! Thanks for such a great stay.. I WILL BE BACK!
I stay at alot of Wyndham locations, and review all of them. I would recommend this place to anyone. Good price, nice location, pool, work outroom. It was a great stay. And Rick was a absolute delight. He personally got me a cab with in minutes after it took me 30mins to get a cab company to answer the phone!
Thanks for your help Rick, I look forward to staying again at your Baymont Inn location. THANK YOU
This place is garbage Baymont needs to shut this place down. There are people who live upstairs there is weed smell constantly. The pool looks like it is pure semen. There was not a functional fire alarm in the second-story room that we stayed at. We need to get a new. There was a smudge on the lamp which we assumed to have been semen. The housekeepers do not do their jobs the bedding was filthy the floor was filthy and there was hair inside the pillow case. We have stayed at this hotel for three years in a row for the convention that we go to in Detroit. It has progressively got worse with each year. I will never stay here again the management is poor and they take your deposit even if you have done nothing wrong. There is garbage littering the outside it appears that nobody wants to do their job here. Is completely disgusting.
Terrible hotel. After putting in almost a 15 hour drive. We stopped here thinking. The Baymont would be a great place for a rest stop. We were given a room. Went straight to sleep. 6am. Woke up at 8am to the sound of about 30 kids in the pool. Not a problem. But there was this god awful smell. Like sewage. That filled the room. Went to take a shower. But the tub was filthy. The trash can in the room looked like someone through up in it and all around it. We complained to the front desk staff. It was clear. No one had any customer service training. Please stay away from this hotel. Baymont should remove their name from this no tell motel.
I have stayed here in the past for my daughter's birthday get-togethers without any serious complaints. This time however was ridiculous & I will never return! First the service was so slow, that it took me 25 minutes to check in & there were only 2 people in front of me. Then I'm informed that they do wristbands for the pool now and give you four complimentary. I could understand that, if they were maybe $5 a piece for the extra ones. Nope, they were $15 each! Get to the room & there is no refrigerator, no microwave, no coffee pot, and only about 5 channels on the tv. When I asked I was told only rooms with king beds have refrigerators now, not the double beds. The hot tub was filthy, the jets didnt work and there were no towels for the pool. If I hadnt already told my daughters friends to meet us here for her bday sleepover, I wouldve left. Between what I paid for the room & the wristbands I could've went to a much nicer hotel with a better pool.
Just came there for my sons 12 bday on friday with 8 kids..we got 2 rooms they were perfect they were across the hall from each other the kids room waa pool side with a door going right to the pool could not have picked a better inexpensive way to bring in his birthday!! And all the staff 10 stars!
I never write reviews, but I have to warn you If you have any other option, take it. I stayed here for a business trip and every minute I spent here was the awful. The staff had fiends hanging out at the desk and it was an intrusion to ask them for anything. Every time i tried to use my key, it didnt work and I had to get it replaced. Bathrooms are dirty and the room smelled like someone had been smoking weed all day. Let's not forget about the 3am wakeup call by the lovely guests you'll share a hallway with. Pick any other hotel!
Terrible! Sheets had blood stains, jacuzzi is very dirty like muddy water and ice cold! The staff knew the jacuzzi jets weren't working, said they'd been out of order for a few months
now! There was a dirty towel and dried used wash cloth in the shower of the 2nd room we were relocated to! And after all of that, the television in the new room did not work! Staff was unpleasant. I do not recommend this location to anyone and I will never return. Period.
I love it here, your in the center of the city of Southfield MI, that you have ALOT of shopping places nearby, also a near a movie theater and restaurants. Your family would love to be here, indoor pool, and also a workout room, lots of parking, LOVE THIS PLACE. The staffs are nice and helpful, make you don't wanna leave, the management is great, also they have security too unlike the other hotels nearby. Great place to be alone with your lover, family reunions, or if you need somewhere to stay, or just kicking it by yourself Also if you do a family reunion, ask them about any specials. There reasonable. And they also have breakfast EVERY morning.
Hotel was clean, staff met my wants and needs, and would stay here before I would go to some other locations in Detroit. The hotel is a bit older but conditions are not as bad as others say. Unfortunately the pool was closed when we were there. Breakfast was typical but again the staff was attentive to make sure things were filled. When I had a problem, they addressed it! Thanks Baymount Staff
Our area of the hotel was non smoking and someone staying around us was smoking pot in a non smoking room. The bed skirts looked like they haven't been cleaned since they were bought for the bed. Our floor had spots all over it. The shower wall looked liked it hadn't been cleaned for a while. Part of the trim was ripped away from the wall. I had to go down and ask for more towels because we were only given 2 bath towels and a washcloth. On our way to the pool, someone had broken some glass and you could tell the guy didnt even want to clean it up. The hot tub was broken (we were told it would be fixed the next day.). The pool was plan nasty. I checked out the workout room and everything needed to be fixed. On our way back to the room, I had to tell the guy at the front desk to resweep the floor because it still had shards of glass.
This was by far the worst hotel I ever booked. I didn't even put my bags, couldn't stay in this hotel. Needs alot of work. It looks nothing like the pictures online. The floors were filthy. The bed sheets were disgustingly dirty/stained, and so was the tub. I would never recommend this place. This hotel should be shut down. I was totally disgusted!!
Comfy beds, nice linens and friendly service, however room offered coffee packets but no coffee maker, an ironing board but no iron, a non functioning hair dryer and no telephone in the room. I'm a local so I wasn't greatly inconvenienced but had I come from out of town, with higher expectations, I would have given only 2 stars.
I only gave this place one star because zero stars was not an option. Baymont Inn & Suites in Southfield was an assault to the senses from the second I walked through the front doors. The odor of the place was something I didn't get used to throughout my entire stay. I can only assume that it was the residue of one or more of their cleaning supplies, but what that scent was meant to cover I dare not guess. The smell in the lobby and hallways was only slightly relieved once admitted to my room. The room itself was comfortably furnished, even if those furnishings were worn and dated. It wasn't the age of the furnishings so much as the overall sense of overlapping layers of filth that those furnishings contained. This is definitely a room I did not want to have illuminated by ultraviolet light for fear of what that light would reveal. I will never stay there again, and I'll recommend that no-one from my company ever stay there either.
