My check and started with the smiley front desk girl named essence. Timely cleaning and the greatest location I could have asked for to spend the night on a work trip. Parking was easy breakfast was on my way out the door so it was coffee. I would recommend to stay here if you're on a budget and have standards.

Had a horrible expoerince but the Manager Bach called me and fixed all my issues. He was super professional and polite and kind. He listened to my issues, and followed up. I really appreciate the manager for being so professional after his staff failed. Thanks Bach (probably spelling it wrong sorry)

Room was kinda dirty. Someone tracked mud into the hallway and 3 days later it was still there. No breakfast. No fitness center. Mattress was old and worn out. No roll away beds. Creepy people hanging out in front of the hotel most of the time. Coffee at the front desk was OK. Won't be back and probably won't consider ESA again.

WORST Customer Service ; Need a week to 2 weeks if sugar is out on the corner they call brake fast. most pics on their web page is wrong. pl go somewhere else . everything is old n worn out this property plus.. no customer service at all. i spent almost 3 months at dorris n featherstone but got very bad ; wont stay at dorris .. I75 they call at all..
another thing they overcharge.

I'm only giving it two stars due to the fact that the woman who checked us in was friendly and knowledgeable.

I stayed at an Extended Stay in Grand Rapids a few weeks ago and this was nothing like it. First, when we pulled up there were two guys outside blocking the entrance smoking. They eventually went inside but didn't leave the lobby. They sat in the small lobby wreaking of stale cigarette smoke and wearing pajama pants that looked to be a few days worn in.

Then we get to the room and cosmetically was subpar to say the least. The room smelled old and everything is worn and dingy, down to the pillows and cases. Why are the pillows flat???

What solidified my unsatisfaction was when I went into the bathroom. There was less than a 1/4 roll of toilet paper on the roll, the sink had dry soap spots in it, there were crumbs and debris behind the door, and behind the toilet dust, debris, and rubber bands! All of which could've been remedied by a thorough cleaning by housekeeping.

I am not impressed. If you're looking for a cheap place just to sleep and don't really care about cleanliness, this is your spot. Anything else? Keep looking.

My husband was there for work, off the busy road easy access to Freeway. Kitchens in every room, the water takes a long time to heat up to do dishes? The ducts were dusty so we cleaned our own and he stayed healthy.

When we had checked in staff member ignored a lobby full of people for upwards of 20 minutes because she was (counting her drawer) and we could hear her loud phone conversation in the back while we were waiting. She was very rude especially to my fiancé who was waiting for me to show up to check both before and after I showed up without knowing I had showed up yet. The room was rear other than it had no hot water in the shower only the sinks did just not the shower. If I ever come here again I will not check in at night it's not worth it

Room was not clean. Dried soap cake stuck to the bathroom sink. Room had been smoked in before my arrival and I awoke to a asthma attack. I had specifically booked a nonsmoking room due to my asthma and severe allergy to cigarettes. I attempted to bring to attention of the Manager and was referred to the insurance person for the hotel. The Manager and the insurance representative both laid the blame on me for not requesting a new hotel room or leaving and denied responsiblity for maintaining rooms they sell as smoke free as precisely that. I will never recommend this hotel chain ever again.
