We utilized this hotel for our hotel block for our wedding. It came highly recommended to us from our venue as they have a shuttle that can be used to move guests back and forth. I contacted the hotel and was told in writing in our hotel block contract that the shuttle would run multiple trips for 1 hour at the start of our event and for 1 hour at the end of the event. Upon arrival, the front desk knew nothing of the event, the shuttle driver was unwilling to help. He made 1 trip to the event. Meaning of my roughly 50 guests, only 15 had a ride to the event, and none of them had a ride home. They were all forced to take ubers, drive (so no drinking), and my father-in-law and some of our aunts were utilizing personal vehicles to drive people back to the hotel. Had I known this was how my guests would have been treated, I would have a selected a MUCH BETTER hotel. This place is outdated and needs repairs, but despite this, I went with it, because they offered a shuttle. I am not happy.

11.23.17: through talking to my guests at thanksgiving it has come to my attention that based on my review, holiday inn express Southfield sent out surveys to my guests. Needless to say because of the lack of shuttle and unprofessional response to the questions regarding the shuttle they were poor reviews. Be forewarned this location has zero qualms about sharing personal information with other individuals. The hotel sent partial screen shots of my email discussions to my guests. The screen shots didn't contain the full conversation, but what's worse is that they shared it at all. Contact details, email conversations etc. All without permission. If you express concerns they don't address them. They make excuses, without apology, and share your information. DO NOT USE THIS HOTEL. YOU CAN STAY AT THE Hilton garden inn for comparable pricing significantly better service 900% better rooms and shocker a shuttle. THE WORST EXPERIENCE I'VE EVER HAD DEALING WITH A HOTEL. iff there were a way to do negative stars you can bet your hiney I would.

Not 130.00 a night impressed. Although the TV itself was OK, the service was not. I was looking for a place to lay my head for one night and I am able to do that

Staff very friendly. The room was physically a disaster. The Jacuzzi Tub was rotted and cracked, the ceiling had holes in and cracks, the carpet was a million years old and the furniture was from the sixties and had lots of unexplained stains on them. I was trapped as hotels in area all booked out.

The lobby was nice. That is the only nice thing I can say about this hotel. The carpet in our first room was stained and threadbare. I say first room because shortly after getting into it we found bed bugs. After having a disagreement with the manager and showing her the bed bug she let us move to a new room. The carpet in the second room was no better than the first. The cooling system in the second room to that function very well. While we were talking to the manager a man came out of the pool area and informed them that someone had just defecated in the pool. They close the pool and then opened it up less than a half an hour later. If you have other options do not stay at this location.

I was just staying overnight and this hotel was right off the highway. Clean room, plenty of amenities including the menus for the neighboring restaurants. Pool and hot tub. A few treadmills and stairsteppers. Free continental breakfast til 10 am. Friendly staff. A little worn but clean.

Hotel room was really nice. Had enough space to sleep six, even though I was there for a work conference by myself. Shower didn't drain, there was no hair dryer in the room, and random people seemed to be coming and going through a back door that was consistently being propped open.

I got a king suite. I dtay in many Holiday inns. This wasn't a great one. The pool was small but very warm. The breakfast was a bit smaller than I was used to. The saving grace was the staff. They were very friendly and helpful. They made me feel like they genuinely cared about how my night was going. Over all the hotel was clean and I felt safe and comfortable.

I was overall pleased with my stay at the hotel the staff very friendly and easy to work with. My room had nice amenities including a fridge. The room looked nice but did not have power outlets that could be accessed easily.

Staff was not very friendly and put us in a room that already had guests in it making for an awkward entrance and the staff didn't even apologize for the incident just gave us another room. Rooms were dirty with stains, food stuck in carpets and a weird smell coming from the fridge. It got the job done but was not a very enjoyable stay.

The staff is very friendly and helpful. The wifi rarely drops and there are plenty of local restaurants around the hotel. Also, the breakfast was delicious.

Very rude customer service. Not kid friendly. Wont speak unless you speak first. Not greeted at all until some woman complained about the kids' noise coming from the pool. There were a gang of kids in the pool that did not come with me. I guess since I was the only black adult with my four guest, they assumed the other 7 black little kids were with me. No one had a pool bracelet on until that witch complained that there were too many black kids. Totally ruined my whole mood for the night. Not the only issues with this wannabe extravagant MOTEL. I'm telling you, spend your money at red roof before going heresame services for a lot cheaper.
