Walked in for for lunch. Was pleasantly surprised. Loved the easy buffet spread. Food was fresh & delicious. Lots of options. Well staffed and clean. Definitely a great place for lunch

The taste of the food was average but the aftermath was disastrous. We ordered chicken tandoori and beef curry. The chicken tandoori was okay taste wise but the beef curry must have been at least a few days old. My wife had food poisoning from eating here. Never coming back. If you feel like food tastes odd or has weird smell, it probably is old or rotten, so just don't eat it.

Take out veggie Samosas with dipping sauce was absolutely DELICIOUS. Loved the fast service for take-out midday. Price is very reasonable. The "no contact" service was good. Service was excellent. Thank you, I will be back for more soon. Jen

Food is excellent. Very tasty. Of note: ordered through Skip the Dishes, the driver did not knock or ring door bell; don't know how long food was sitting outside door. No contact fine but please tell your drivers to let customers know their food has been delivered.

One of the best experiences at Victoria was the nicest service received by the staff (Mann and Kamal).
The food very delicious, they even helped us prepare fresh food for my daughter who has started to eat by herself. Thank you once again for the food and the service.

I love this restaurant, they always bring their A game when it comes to food, presentation and customer service! The waitresses are very friendly and and our food came out sizzling! We originally went to the Sidney location but since moving Royal Oak has become closer and the I'm glad to say the food is still as tasty as ever! The place also looks great with the recent renovations done. I highly recommend going here!

Very pleasantly surprised to find such a gem. The staff are polite and accommodating, our server suggested a few dishes that we might enjoy.

The food itself was very hot (not cold!) when it arrived, and we didn't have to wait long at all. Generous servings too - we ended up with three meals' worth. They were more than happy to bag it up for us to take home.

The food itself was excellent. Really excellent. I can recommend the Chicken Korma, the Brinjal (eggplant) and the Channa (chickpea) masala, all very hearty and well made. I had no weird reactions which suggests no ingredients that might have an adverse reaction. That said, it's Indian food, which means it's not for sensitive stomachs.

To sum up; it's good. Really good.

Of course food is as good as my home country. But, I prefer this restaurant over other restaurants in Victotria. Because, employees never make me to wait for my food for so long even if it is busy. Really good and well-mannered service. I love this place and highly recommend to enjoy the real taste of India.

This is simply the best regional Punjabi cuisine that I have had on Vancouver Island - no question! Cannot wait to return.

For a bit of a hole in the wall -- likely seating for under 30 people, it was a delightful addition to the area. Victoria B.C. Canada has always had a lack of consistent South Asian cuisine - in particular the fragrant, aromatic and tasty Punjabi spiced classics!

I hope it is here for a long time!

I love this place! A colleague brought takeout from here to one of our staff events and we all LOVED itI have been coming back regularly ever since. The staff has been AWESOME and the foodoh the food will draw me back again and again.fresh, flavourful and excellent in terms of quantity. I highly recommend this restaurant.

My friends (a couple) took me to lunch at your restaurant. They know how I love Indian food and, though Tandoori Flame had only been open a month, they had already eaten there six times! It was not a disappointment. Some of the best Indian food I have eaten, ever, anywhere. Since I've moved to Victoria (almost 10 yrs now) this is the restaurant I've been looking for. I've tried the other Indian places and they don't come close to what I enjoyed at Tandoori Flame - and that was only lunch, I can't wait to try the dinner menu. The food was fresh and delicious, with just the right amount of spices. Even the naan bread is some of the best I've ever tasted! Absolutely nothing to fault in any of the dishes I tried (except the fact I probably ate too much!). I was in food heaven. Thank you so much for taking the care to prepare such wonderful food. I can't wait to return! (Too many exclamation marks, maybe? - I can't help myself when I'm so enthusiastic about the place).

We went for the lunch buffet. I lived in India for 2.5 years and am always excited to try a new Indian place. The curries were delicious. Very authentic flavours. The server was really friendly too. We got some sweets to go as well. Also very authentic.

Very impressed considering how new this restaurant is. I've been dragging my boyfriend around to different Indian restaurants for two years trying to get him to understand why I love it so much, and he has HATED it until trying out this place. We went for the lunch buffet and the food was exceptional and by far the best butter chicken I have ever had. They also had some kind of desert called "Mango mousse" which was SO AMAZING. I will be telling everyone about this place, and I look forward to my next visit. Finally a decent place to eat in Royal Oak.

Day 4 and it already seems to be running pretty smoothly. Great/fast service and a super attentive waitress. A lot of food for a good price-- we got 2 full meals out of ours for under $40.
My only suggestion would be maybe a dinner buffet as well? Will definitely be going back to try the lunch buffet though! :)
