It gets loud at night, so if you are a light sleeper, I would advise you to stay somewhere else, or bring some heavy-duty ear plugs.
It's walking distance to everything. We even walked to their farmer's market over the bridge. And if you drove here, there is a place to park next to the hotel. We got free breakfast at the Irish pub next door, which was pretty good. Apart from the loudness, it's a pretty decent place to stay.
Room was nice and clean, although the view left a lot to be desired. Staff were friendly and helpful. Was very impressed by their honesty when we'd left $100 in our room when we checked out and they held it at the front desk for us. We will stay there again for sure.
For the price it was great. There are a handful of things there that raise an eyebrow but if you're just looking for a place to crash this is a great spot. Eyebrow-raisers, the sign to The Belmont (bar next door) actually points the wrong way, to a employees only area. I asked the front desk about it and it turns out their event space/meeting room is also named The Belmont which is what the sign was pointing to. My group got several rooms and they were all laid out completely differently. Not just different sizes but they look oddly redone. For example one room had a vent in the top of the wall and it looks like they moved a wall at one point, so the vent is partially covered by the wall itself. Curious, but not "bad" for a place to sleep. Overall very well maintained and the staff were great, just several of the "big picture" items were poorly thought out.
Comfort inn is at a great location. The hotel is quiet and professionally staffed. My only issue is that it's an older place so things are outdated. The elevator only holds 5 people. I practically have to climb over my bed to get into the bathroom. If you are in Vancouver to stay at a hotel comfort inn may not be for you. If you are in Vancouver for everything Vancouver has to offer then this is a great hotel.
It's a great clean hotel, spacious and comfortable. Staff are very friendly and helpful. You have to pay for parking but they make a plan to accommodate you. WiFi is free and unlimited, does not seem to have issues connecting. The beds are really comfortable, TV is a big flat screen. Free TV and coffee facilities in the lobby. The location is great, very central. Overall an excellent hotel to stay at, would definitely come back.
Good hotel with a great downtown location. They do take advantage of raising their prices when the city is busy but I guess they all do that. Two good restaurants on site also, Doolins and the Belmont.
Second time staying here Just as good as the first! Front desk staff is so friendly, the rooms are comfy, have AC, and it is within walking distance to everything you need downtown.
I think the refitting to put a Comfort Inn into an older, downtown building went very well. The rooms are great. The hotel staff is very pleasant and accommodating. My only complaint (and it kept me from giving it 5 stars) is that the hotel is attached to two bars. Vancouver ordinance permit them to remain open until 3 am on the weekend. When we visited, during the summer, patrons took advantage of that. They also did not disperse and tended to hang around near the hotel for several hours after closing, speaking in voices that easily carried to our 5th floor room and likely beyond. Not sure what the hotel can do about that since they are on a public sidewalk, but Vancouver police should.
It is definitely a little outdated, but I still enjoyed my stay here. As did my traveling companion. Beds were quite comfortable. Would have been nice not to have to open the window for some airflow. On the flip side, it was also nice not to have that air conditioning hum that is so common in hotel rooms. Overall, the room was comfortable. The staff was amazing! So friendly and extremely helpful! When they learned it was my birthday, they went out of their way to make it pleasant and to accommodate any request I had. The location is great to boot! We had only planned to stay one night, but decided the next morning to stay another night. We received a great rate through Expedia and the on-site staff was able to make it so we had the same room.
Very nice rooms, small but clean. Very friendly staff, but as a Choice Hotel member booking 6 months in advance this is the best room view I got. With beautiful Vancouver all around
This hotel is a good location but it smells disgusting. Like an old hotel that nobody has stayed in the room for over 5 years. There was dust everywhere, the sheets smelt like they haven't been changed/washed in so long. The room smells like old carpet. I had to spray air freshener every hour. The staff here are not very nice. You need a key to enter the elevator and I forgot mine in my room. They wouldn't buzz me up the elevator. The washroom looked nice but it didn't look like it was washed properly. Very out dated. Was shocked when I seen it because it had good reviews. Also there is no ramp into the lobby. Only stairs. Had to ask the front desk to help me bring it up. I stayed here from April 11- 13 2017 with my friend. Do not recommend.
Nice room for a nice rate. Parking is not included but you can park for 25 dollars a night + tax. Breakfast is served in a next door pub. Nice to be in a pub that early!!
The Comfort Inn is very conveniently located right in the heart of downtown Vancouver! Anything you need is a 5-10 minute walk away!! The hotel is economical, clean and secure with the latest room key and elevator access technology. We stayed there on a Saturday night and even though our room was directly above the busy pub, we couldn't hear a thing with the windows closed. This was my second time staying in this property and I will definitely be staying there again!
Excellent bang for buck. Hot breakfast is delicious. Really can't beat the location, especially if you're younger and looking to go out and enjoy the Granville strip in all its glory.
Wonderful hotel. Hidden gem in Granville street. Excellent location at an affordable price. Less than 2 blocks away from the Canada Line station. Very convenient if you're coming from the airport. Rooms were nice, beds comfy and the washroom was spotless. Try to book a room with breakfast included. It was a really good breakfast, which was served in the Irish pub that's next to the hotel (both places are connected by inside, so it's not necessary to leave the building).
