Room was clean, comfortable and quiet. Staff were helpful and friendly. Nothing exceptional but it was priced accordingly. Would stay there again.

No luggage storage, only a self serve coin operated locker room. Doesn't take card.

Large rooms, decently comfortable. Old bathrooms. Very basic amenities. Okay for price but the lack of luggage storage was vexing, given they offered no solutions for my lack of coins and willingness to pay on card.

Very comfortable. Clean. No fuss other than the morning with the fire but these things happen.
My only concern was it took 40 minutes for Metro Fire Brigade to arrive!
Does that mean there was no automatic alarm to them? Did staff not alert via 000?

I have stayed in the hotel many times over the past 16 years.
This stay we experienced a fire alarm, guests had to vacate the hotel. I was in room 278. I was on crutches so the stairs were a challenge but I was able to negotiate.
I was very very disappointed about the lack of alternative fire exits and the reliance on the lifts. Most places that I have visited have signs clearly saying that lifts should not be used in the case of fire - NO INTER FLOOR STAIRS WERE AVAILABLE. Also, no hotel representatives were on my floor (and some others) to assist guests. This is unacceptable

It was all easy and convenient. No problems in parking nor waiting to retrieve my car from the hotel parking.
All facilities (gym, spa, pool, sauna, Foxtel etc) I needed. Nice and clean and no hassle.
    Staff are courteous and friendly.

Great Service but we would have liked a set of Drawers to put our clothes inand perhaps a choice of Pillows as at the Treasury Hotel on Spring Street..that was greatly appreciated!.Good supply of milk in the fridge and amenities were very clean.Quiet room on second floor and nice to be able to open windows. The fan in the aircon was a bit noisy..despite speed adjustment it always seemed to be at full speed. A lovely Pool and Spa to be used..and a Sauna!. The Staff were very efficient and Check-In was a breeze.. as well, a late Check Out was appreciated .We liked the Security of the baggage storage despite the minimal cost of $7 for 24 hrs.. this is a great Service that allows you to come and go and add your purchases to. Great central location..easy access to Theatre and Restaurantswe will stay again..Many Thanks

We had excellent service on arrival and an upgrade to our room. The room was spacious and we enjoyed having a table and chairs to sit on. We went to see the Bodyguard so it was a close walk. Spent the morning shopping and caught up with a friend at the hotel in the afternoon. We enjoyed a drink on the mezzanine floor and then we went to the Dior exhibition, while the boys watched Melbourne Storm in Vics Bar. We didn't opt to have dinner at the hotel but we enjoyed the position of the hotel as it is close to everything.

Good location for a reasonable price. Front desk staff offer minimum courtesy. We didn't eat or drink at the premises. We entered the bar at happy hour but it seemed more like a sports bar so we left. The first night was spent in a substandard room (517) with no breaks on bed on a polished floor so it skated all over the room, very warm room with extremely noisy aircon units outside window, exhaust fan didn't work and so on. Complained the following morning and were offered room 440 which was so very much better. Beds and pillows very comfortable and shower was great. Would have been ideal to have had this room for 2 nights!

We had a very pleasant stay at the Victoria hotel. We were upgraded to a larger room and and the staff were always very polite and helpful. The only issue we had was on one occasion our room was not serviced and when I mentioned it to the receptionist the problem was quickly rectified. The breakfast at Alice's restaurant was very good and again the staff were excellent. We will definitely be returning.

I was able to check in quite quickly which was fantastic.
I left all my stuff in my room and headed to the footy. When I returned I went and had a spa - also lovely.
It was when I put my socks on and walked around the room that I noticed dust and hair (that wasn't mine) all over the bed. I grabbed a tissue and started wiping the floor and realised the floor hadn't been cleaned.
The night staff were happy to move me to a different room but when I was packing to leave I realised I'd left something in the old room. Housekeeping claim they didn't find anything in there but I'm guessing they were annoyed because they probably got into trouble for not doing their job - cleaning a floor!!! I think no room should be offered to others in this state. There were long, black men's pubes all over the floor and on my socks and to me that was disgusting!!!!

I have only been to Bar Vic as well as one of the conference rooms (I'm guessing) for a Comedy Festival gig. Foyer is very nice looking and Bar Vic up the stairs is decent enough too. Recommend popping in for a drink to see if you like it - bar prices aren't (weren't) expensive hotel bar prices.

Being a Le Club Member I receive a complementary drink. However on the date of the stay all the beer taps were out of order. As a replacement drink I was offered a house wine or soft drink. I was not interested in a soft drink and a bottled beer was not an option therefore I tried the house Red wine. Very ordinary to say the least, I would have preferred either a good red or a bottled beer, neither of which was an option even if I suplemented the cost.
Apart from this the stay was fine.
