Good venue for professional development. Delicious food. Communication between presenter and kitchen needs improvement; afternoon tea was served as the break was over.
What great accomodating service. As someone who frequents many hotels to service hair and makeup on guests these guys really have service down pat! On arrival the concierge was aware of my arrival for their guest and valet parking was offered free of charge. The bigger chain hotels can really take a leaf out of their book
Fantastic service. Rooms are spacious, clean and beautiful. I highly recommend the apartments with the city view!
This is a really nice hotel with a great view. I visited check in twice, once when I knew it was too early but just wanted to drop in en route and pay, and once to actually get my key. Service the first time was not very friendly, though the second time they were great (different people at check in). I found it odd that a 5 star hotel would not have a bar or even cafe or lobby one can wait an hour or so if your room isn't ready: that's just standard practice to have a lobby lounge. However, not a huge issue as location is awesome and you can easily find a nearby cafe.
There were many great elements, the room itself was lovely, huge, no extra charge for room service, pool also great. Nice location. However there were some things that 5 star hotels should have (and usually do, based on vast travels). There was no complimentary bottle of water on the bedside, there were limited toiletries (no conditioner, no body wash: just shampoo, bar of soap and lotion). The toiletries were lovely though, I should add, as was the bath and shower.
There were a few other problems; no slippers, room service knocking even though I had the "do not disturb" (or similar) notice up. The bathrobe was not pool friendly, I only mention this because there was no changing room or place to store valuables at the pool or gym, which means that getting changed in your room and padding down in a more suitable terry cloth robe and slippers is the most feasible option.
The spa was lovely but too deep: I am average height (5'6) but when the bubbles were on I could only last a few minutes as the bubbles were well up to my ears - far too high (looks great, but not practical). Finally the steam room was not turned on: when I did go on my last morning I waited at least 15 minutes and nothing seemed to be happening. This is not acceptable - if you are paying $300 or more all these little things should be rectified. I hope this does not sound too harsh or pedantic, I would still recommend this hotel but I would advise double checking other options as I would class it more as a very nice hotel, just not a 5 star.
Very good, great room excellent view. Breakfast very busy and ran out of plates cups , bread etc so had to keep waiting for staff to top up. Overall great hotel great rooms and excellent staff in a brilliant location.
Staff were excellent. Friendly and .helpful . Our room was lovely we asked for a view and were given room 1510. Excellent. Breakfast is lovely. Could be a little more extensive but very fresh.
A great stay. Enjoyed our drink in the bar. Lovely breakfast. Apartment adequate but thought the furnishings could have been a bit more stylish. Very plain. Awesome location with easy walking access to the city & Southbank. Very quick delivery of our car when we asked for it.
We enjoy staying at the Quay West on South Bank, a lovely walk to the exhibition Centre or Crown Complex if you are attending a function. Our room was immaculate, with a small kitchenette and a large King size bedroom. Views were magnificent and the service impeccable..
We stayed at Quay West, Melbourne for 6 nights to celebrate our wedding anniversary and my husband's birthday. Overall, we were very satisfied. The staff were wonderful, very friendly on every interaction. The location is very handy to everything you'd want to experience in Melbourne. We liked the valet parking, it was very easy to get our car when we wanted to go out. I thought the rooms were a little dated and some of the walls and skirting boards were quite scratched up. There was no clothes airer/laundry rack for us to hang our washing on in the room. The bed was very comfortable but the shower cubicle was a bit small, especially for my husband who is well over 6ft tall.
We will most likely stay here again but, it would have been nice to have a nicer room, especially as we were here for 6 nights.
Our stay was very pleasant! Our room was great! The service we received was fantastic your staff are amazing and very friendly and willing to help!
I didn't mention to staff but our stay was for my birthday and I can not fault the professionalism we received just for what they thought was a normal weekend getaway.
I love this hotel and will continue to stay when visiting our beautiful Melbourne xx
Good as usual. Have stayed many times. I think the whole place could do with new decor. I think its been the same for years (17 approx). I think I will try a different place next time. I still rate Quay West Suites well but its getting old.
Excellent spacious two bedroom apartment. Great location on the south bank. Staff friendly and helpful.
A very well situated hotel, clean, spacious with friendly understated staff. Close to all restaurants on Southbank, the city, rail, trams etc. Always a pleasant welcome and a relaxing place after a days work.
Evening room service was a highlight with it being the best meal compared to two nights out at restaurants.
Room was superb, staff, especially Tess and Alexandra, were incredibly helpful and welcoming. Location was amazing. We absolutely loved the property. Thank you so much!
