It is a hotel without nice service and house clean. In my opinion, it's out of the value

The rooms were dated and dirty. Tiles were cracked, chipped and the ones which had been replaced were mismatched. The room smelt stale inside and stunk of cigarettes outside as many people were smoking in the walkway. The plantation shutters didn't block much light from the outside walkway. The cockroach I saw scampering off when I first opened the door was huge. No idea who rated this place 4 stars or how much they were bribed to do so.

The rooms are just ok. The wifi is however not good. Keeps disconnecting. Also no toothbrush which was quite weird.

The rooms are spacious and reasonably clean. The bathtub looks dated. I can't see why this hotel would be accredited as 4 stars( especially when you compare to nearby hotels such as Rydges- only slight more expensive). The breakfast looked nothing like the photo posted on the hotel's website, not many choices and it appears to be leftover Chinese food from the night before.
It is definitely located centrally- near shops and the esplanade.

The hotel needs a freshen up and some more attention to maintenance. The bathroom taps were loose and kept coming off. The room was clean and tidy. It is popular with tour groups and is also attached to a restaurant so it can be a little loud and busy.

The hotel is really nice - the hotel is centrally located, and is a safe area. I walked around the town as a single female in her early 20's and felt completely safe. I would say that the breakfast is very strange in the Chinese restaurant - but it was buffet style, so you could at least eat something. There is a small weight room for exercise.

The rooms are dated, the bathrooms are in need of refreshment, cracked tiles, broken taps and showerheads. The cleaning staff are good at making the beds but neglect the floors, cutlery and glassware. The hotel WiFi was abysmal, had to use Google dns servers just to get online. 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 for those stuck without working WiFi. Benefit is the hotel is within walking distance to most shops and tourist traps.

Very tired hotel in need of an update. Good location within walking distance to most tourist related activities in Cairns.

Dated hotel that could really use some work, paint is peeling and there were a few small ants in the washroom. I wasn't overly impressed with the free breakfast either, small variety of food.

It's a surprise that this was awarded 4 stars, as the amenities and rooms were basic. However, the location is fantastic walking distance to everything. The Cairns aquarium is being constructed across the street, which will be a draw in the future.

The hotel breakfast buffet is located inside the Chinese restaurant next door. The food doesn't change, so it got dull after a few days. However, it's still a great deal compared to the other expensive restaurants in town.
