Very impressed for the price paid for two adults and two children with brekkie included. The room was lovely, bathroom had recently been renovated, beds and pillows were VERY comfortable and the lagoon pool with waterfall was just devine!!

I've stayed here a couple of times while on dive trips. Good clean comfortable accom with a very helpfull 24 hour reception. Good price. Can't walk to town but its just a quick uber.

This place is great for the price range; location is on the highway but this didn’t affect our stay negatively like in other reviews, the staff were friendly and helpful, the pools were nice (although maybe a little too warm for this time of year [Late Oct]). The wifi is in 24 hour blocks and a little difficult to connect to at times (the process to enter a code for 24 hours) but otherwise works fine and good connectivity.

Buses pulling up at all hours leaving their motors running for sometimes upwards of 30 minutes. Cockatoos surround the building screeching sun up and sundown. Bird shite covering the foot pathway. Witness to three bag snatchings. Stay away from this place. Horrible.

Recently upgrading. Friendly service. Breakfast restaurant at pool. Bar has closed at the moment. Quiet. Palms abound the lap pool and beach pool. Close to tavern and BWS Red rooster to name a few. Enjoying my stay

Nice pool, bed was a split king
unfortunately but met all expectations otherwise. Carpets were a little smelly but delightfull staff. And basic but nicely renovated bathroom.

I love this place! Great facilities, big rooms, very clean, bus into the city, delicious breakfast. Even better all the staff at the front desk were brilliant. It made the trip very easy. Thanks.

Room was very spacious (I did upgrade for 10$ extra per night in order to be near reception to access WiFi from the room). Room was clean, well equipped (fridge, kettle, TV), bathroom was recently refurbished and in excellent state. We did have a bit of an ant infestation but we just ensure we kept all food sealed. Pool area was nice. Breakfast was good for just 15$ per person each day. Staff were very helpful. There's a very convenience shopping centre just across the road with a Woolworths supermarket! Would definitely recommend, especially for the price.

Top value, great pools, staff were friendly. Close to shopping centre. Free Wi-Fi would be better and location means you need your own transport.

The Palm Royale Cairns all in all has been a pleasant experience. Yes, the facilities may look a little dated but that did not impact our impressions. The staff were professional and rather helpful and the room we stayed in was clean and tidy. We nearly had the entire pool to ourselves which was also a big plus. We'd stop by again for a night or two.
