Lovely hotel in a perfect location for enjoying Cairns. We were welcomed warmly by Peter and Ada. Peter handled our bags until our room was ready. He offered a key card to allow us access to the pool and the Executive lounge while we waited. Our room was an Executive Level Waterview Deluxe with Breakfast included in the rate. The executive lounge has a great view of the casino next door and the park with thousands of birds roosting each evening.
The swimming pool is huge! The temperature was perfect. Plenty of loungers available in sun or shade.
The morning breakfast is extensive. Omelets and eggs cooked to order, fresh salads, cold cuts, fresh fruit selection, as well as delicious pastries. We also enjoyed the fresh squeezed juices each morning.
Our room was spacious, with a gorgeous view and a bathtub! After adventuring all day in the heat and humidity, I luxuriated in a long bubble bath!
The two things I would recommend to make this hotel even better are a wall mounted clothes line in the shower stall to dry your bathing suits, and heating the hot tub so it is actually hot and not as cold as the pool.
I would definitely recommend this hotel for anyone planning a visit to Cairns.

The location is great, a short stroll to Reef Fleet Terminal, Esplanade, and the night market area and across the road from the Casino.

Check-in service was faultless and was offered parking, daily food + beverage credits, and champagne. Everything was explained clearly.

We had a renovated room. The sheets were clean, bed was comfortable. The only thing I will make a comment on here is that the glass shower screen is too small for the shower and water tends to go all over the floor.

Chilled water refill stations on each floor.

The breakfast Buffet is good and attentive staff. It's not the biggest spread compared to your 5-star resorts in SE Asia but good enough. It's Cairns.

Great location. Room was spacious and beds comfortable. Clean and well presented. Front end staff were great. Bar Staff were poor and lacked knowledge of Bar work. Breakfast variety was great but dinner food was only so-so. Check out was easy. Could do with a concierge.

HORRIFIC!! Please read peoples reviews and pay attention unlike myself…. The 4 star google rating currently is based purely on the location which is the only quality they can redeem themselves with…
Reception staff are appalling. They were cold and rushed because they were clearly understaffed. They did not smile, welcome us. Just asked for the booking details and said the room wasn’t ready. We had to ask where to go, what to do etc. staff seemed annoyed every time we approached them. I am utterly shocked this is a ‘5 star’ experience. The room smells like mold and the air con is so noisy we couldn’t use it. The amenities are dirty and dilapidated. Things aren’t clean. Glasses are dirty. Plates are dirty. Breakfast staff are rushed off their feet and shoe you out at 9.25. Concierge ‘service’ was appalling and aggressive. Told me to contact reception to deal with it myself…. Building is tired and has no ambience. Everything is budget beyond belief and not in line with any other Hilton I’ve ever stayed at. I would call this a 3.5 star motel at best. Just because you have a waterfront location does not mean you can treat patrons this way.

Great hotel. The location is absolutely fantastic and just minutes walk to great restaurants and the Reef Terminal. The pool area is also brilliant with some nice lounges if you'd rather that over your typical sun lounge. Parking was also free and super convenient. The only downside was the breakfast buffet which was by no means terrible, it was just a bit average. Highly recommended.

Had a early Brekky. Was given local price $20 . Each. Their Brekky was all you could eat. You could order poached eggs/omelet. A lot of Asian tourist, So of course ,They catered for them. A fantastic choice of fresh fruit/ different cuisines/ great breakfast.

Executive rooms were nothing special; just the same as every other room in the hotel. Still nice.
Concierge staff were wonderful and very helpful. Executive lounge staff were extremely rude and the service left a lot to be desired.
I wouldn't recommend paying for anything executive, as you definitely do not get your money's worth and are not treated any better.

Very nice property right by the water and the wharf. The property itself is nice enough, but the real value is the proximity to the other attractions. You are within walking distance of a dozen restaurants as well as the Reef Casino. The area is a really nice retreat when you have finished your eco related activities that brought you to Cairns.

Wonderful staff at reception, prompt check-in and housekeeping. Ocean view room with private balcony overlooking trinity inlet. Short walk to reef terminal and shops and restaurants. Room furnishing is a little dated but functional.

Nice room and nice view but the hotel is very boring. The lobby bar is closed because it's so dead.

Location is near the cruise port and within 5 min walk from all the shops. It is right next to the casino if you want some action.

We stayed at a Holiday Inn prior on our 3 weeks holiday and seems like Hilton does not live up to its name. At check out, I had to present my credit card again. No option for express check out even the app says check in online and check out online. The front desk lady said my visa was declined but there has been an authorization already on our card for $1000 and our stay was only $792. She then tried again and asked me for the pin (no wonder didnt work the first time right?) I logged in my account and now my card is authorized for $1000 and charged $808 (including the credit card surcharge). This is terrible practice as it could effect some travellers available funds.

Dissapointed with the room we were given this time. Great location but as return guests thought we would at least get a view of the esplanade. Instead we had a view of ugly old buildings. Will go elsewhere next time as we come to cairns regularly.

Whist the view was lovely and the location was fantastic, that is probably all this place had going for it. The room we had on the 8th floor was a king spa suite. The spa only fits in one person, so straight up my partner and i were disappointed. The room was tired and worn looking and not what you would expect at a Hilton hotel. We asked for our room to be serviced and the toilet cleaned. They did not clean the toilet. They took our bath mat, hand towels and face washers and forgot to give us replacements. They left us with dirty towels. The PowerPoint casing fell off when I tried to plug the iron in (pretty dodgy) and there was a cockroach!

I had a word to the man at reception and admittedly he was great about everything. They did send us an apology note with wine and chocolates. But it seems that's just the standard response to everyone when they complain. I think this place is only surviving on its reputation as a Hilton hotel and because of the views. They really need to step up their game as they really aren't up to standard. Will give the Hilton Cairns a miss next time and book somewhere else. Disappointing to say the least.

Great views if you get an ocean view room. Despite the prestigious name tho I have to admit I have stayed in far more comfortable three star hotels.

Room was dated and in need of maintenance or just straight up upgrade. Call me a snob but if I'm staying in a 5 star hotel I expect a little bit more than single ply budget toilet paper and cheap paper coasters. The staff were delightful and very hospitable so no complaint there.

The king size bed appears to be a comfortable sleep but I was up at 0500 because it really wasn't. The European pillows were so soft it was not really worth using them. (I know that sounds Ludacris but they literally melted and went totally flat).

Great views in our room, lovely staff and clean facilities.

Whenever I have a choice, I prefer to stay at the hotels from Hilton chain because you know what to expect from them. As soon as we arrived, we were helped with the bags, and our room got upgraded to the spa room with a beautiful view. We were also given free drink vouchers, which we, unfortunately, did not use. Wi-Fi was free (not sure whether it is for everyone or HHonors members), and the signal was good throughout the hotel. Breakfast was included in my rate, and it was very good with lots of options.
The bad: US-Australia electric adapters that I borrowed at the reception did not work at all; for some odd reason every day there were very long waits for the elevators.
Overall, I was happy with my stay.

Tourist trap, for real.. Went out for dinner, drove into their underground carport as all on street parking was taken. After dinner tried to leave and we're confronted with a gate that wouldn't open unless you had a token or 10 dollars in coins. 10 bucks for an hour parking! Ridiculous, then there are no machines to buy a token or get change. You must enter the labyrinth of signs to a mystical lobby that only can be found with a Sherpa Luckily while lost for a while I found a chef who worked at the Hilton who took me through staff only doors to find the magic lobby. This place is a joke. Still had to pay 10 dollars for my hour parking, plus time lost while trying to find the lobby.

Stayed a night in what was supposed to be a Deluxe Water View Room with breakfast. Room was on the bottom floor with very limited view looking at the roof of the Chapel and the Cruise Terminal, For the rate that was charged I would not recommend this hotel. No mini bar. Not even complimentary biscuits to have with coffee which even 3 star motels have. Needs a lot of maintenance on balcony. Water dripping everywhere. Couldn't sit out there. Staff were friendly. Food at breakfast was good. But unfortunately for the price and room we received I would definitely not recommend this motel especially with other 5 star motels near by.
