I passed out my drivers test today at this office and I must say that I had such an amazing experience. The staff are incredibly friendly and courteous . Everything ran smoothly from start to finish. Covid protocols are strictly adhered to. I highly recommend using this office.

It was an amazing experience. The examiner helps calm you before the test allowing you to do your best with the least mistakes possible and it help me very much. My 1st attempt and it was great and at ease.

I would have scored a 5 because everything is efficient, very clean and professional. Except for that darn eye test machine give it a makeover or something. I waited 45 minutes for it to boot itself up!!!! 2 days in a row.and then had to leave because of work meetings.

Bar the eye testing machine, I would score a 5 out of 5

Absolutely worth rating. As spectator, waiting outside, observing service delivery during this time of trials. Security, line walker, assistants at the management centre, eye testing, needless to say, your cues are perfect. Even an off line system was being handled by young and old( come back later / no it will be back on line soon). Constant movement since opening at 8 o'clock. This whole system functions as one unit. Well done Parow Driving Licences Test Centre. If it wasn't for the yellow distancing lines one would believe you are operating under a usual daily routine. Hats off to all, even the instructors on routine. Well done.

Well organised but somehow unbelievably slow unless you're there at or before opening time.

Not enough cashiers to assist applicants, a lot can be done to improve service as people don't have all day to sit and wait at a traffic department.

The invigilator was completely disrespectful and called me stupid, didn’t tell me which block I was supposed to be in at all times and always shrugged his shoulders. I am laying a formal complaint and when doing my Parking he said “I can’t smell when you don” I had to get out of my car and ask him to treat me with respect. His last name is Anthoni and I will log a formal complaint. He’s way of communicating was utterly disgusting and if you receive him as an invilgilator as for someone else because he has a attitude problem. He was completely eide

The waiting time is outrageous!!. The ticket system either needs to be changed or updated. The staff do try to assist but I truly believe the ticket system is mostly to blame as you could wait over an hour just for an eye test.

Went to sort out my licensing business at Parow Traffic Department today and I found the staff to be friendly, helpful and clearly doing the best they can with all the customers. The ticket system works well, but it's best to take a book with in case it's a busy day.

Breaking News – Driver’s license renewal system to be scrapped
The Minister of Transport, (currently the Honourable Joe Maswanganyi) is to announce that the requirement to renew driver’s license cards every few years is to fall away. He states that the licensing department offices simply cannot cope with the demand for license renewals leading to public dissatisfaction and potentially actions of public disobedience. He recognises that the damage to the economy caused by keeping productive citizens waiting in queues for often hours on end was enormous and that South Africa’s current fragile economy cannot afford these bureaucratic excesses. He acknowledges that deteriorating eye sight is not the primary cause of traffic accidents and that the only purpose that the license renewal system serves is to test driver’s eye sight. The time and cost of undertaking regular eye tests and therefore regular renewal of license cards was essentially wasted. It has not contributed positively to safer driving on South Africa’s roads.
Furthermore, the policy of renewing drivers licenses so regularly opened up avenues for falsified licenses. There is an unfortunate prevalence of false driving licenses being used on our roads today. If the resources spent on the bureaucratic function of renewing licenses was rather spent on combating the prevalence of false driving licenses and unsafe driving practises, South African roads would be safer. The Department of Transport is looking into technological solutions that make it more difficult to produce a false drivers’ license.
The Minister particularly wishes to apologise to the public for the time and money that has been wasted due to long queues at the licensing offices and stated that he regrets that drivers have often had to visit a licensing office two or even three times as a result of equipment failure and excessively long queues. He understands that this time is inevitably paid for by either an employee or an employer and that it is fair to neither. It has been stated that from now onwards, no driver that produces a genuine drivers’ license will be fined even if the expiry date has been passed. It is hoped that car rental companies and insurance companies will review their insurance policies.
