On 16 Nov 2020 pm I arrived at the DLTC to renew my Driver's Licence. I was met by Florence who was not only quick to help and friendly, but went out of her way to help me to complete my forms and usher me through the process. What a pleasant experience. May I also compliment everyone at the centre for being friendly and super-efficient!! A Centre to be proud of!!

Waited five hours in the slowest most unmoving queue you ever saw. Once in it was quick but that queue was the slowest I have ever seen.

I got there at 6am on a Tuesday morning to renew my car license. I was 11th in line and made myself comfortable with a book while seated in my camping chair. They opened the doors 10 minutes early at 07:50. Seating was prioritised upfront for the senior citizens who were allowed in before us youngsters. A gentleman from Stag Coffee shop walked around taking coffee orders. Temperature and symptom screening done at the door. Then, the FASTEST service I have ever experienced got me out the door in 5 minutes. All done by 08:45. Excellent!!

They do not answer their phones. What's the use of having a contact number you can't get through to

I went to renew my drivers license on Friday, 7 August 2020 and want to thank the staff for the efficient manner in which we were directed under the current difficult times. They were attentive and kept one informed every step of the way. A big thank you to the team.

In and out within an hour - and that was on a Friday afternoon over lunch time, which is usually a busy time. Only reason it wasn't quicker was because it was school holidays and some of the staff were on leave. Very efficient and friendly service received from all the staff I interacted with. I thought they provided good customer service all around.

Quick and efficient service. Extremely helpful, professional staff. The Manager is out front interacting with the customers. Ample parking. They now accept credit card and debit card payments. I have not tried any of the other senters but I suspect Fish Hoek is one of the top centers in the Western Cape if not the whole of South Africa.

On Monday 6th of November, i went to fish hoek traffic department to apply for my learners licence. That was the worst visit ever . i was serviced by two arrogant, incompetent ladies, full of hatred particularly to non SA Citizens. in their minds they just think all the African
non SA citizen are in SA illegally, which is a bad assumption. They turned me away whilst i had all the required documents needed. they gave me this other form that did not make sense at all. I'm still wondering on how they got the job they did not know what they were talking about, i even asked them to interpret the form that they gave me and they couldn't. luckily from there i went to Hillstar traffic department and i managed to book for my learners after receiving good service. i wouldn't recommend anybody to go to Fish Hoek traffic department unless if the want to hurt their feelings.

I have never been able to get through to either of their land line numbers, they both just keep ringing.
Whats the point of even having a phone when it would be quicker to write you a letter and attach it to a pigeon.

Saturday 22 January 2017 - traffic department assisting in road running traffic control: Fish Hoek near the circle and beach - shocking! a disturbing attitude of officer/ rude and unclear with his hand signs. I thought I am being a good and helpful road user on this morning with all the runners crossing the road apparantly he signed for me to drive on and oh boy, I did not see this hand sign. I was shouted at and rude language was used oh and he was right and did nothing wrong !
Where do we go from here people.. what are we going to do with these rude agressive faces and behavior?
Traffic department please do something and choose the right candidates as officers of the law
