I reserved a room for my daughter and son-in-law for last night as we are visiting from Albuquerque and my daughter has always loved downtown Chicago. My daughter and I are originally from Illinois and she wanted to show her husband downtown and it was also their 3 year wedding anniversary.
After booking the room I called the hotel a few hours later to inquire as to which type of room they were assigned. Did it have river view or city. I spoke with a very nice young gentleman named Eric who told me it would be city view. I think I remember telling him we were visiting from out of town. He told me he would see what he could do in regards to giving them a nice view. My daughter and son-in-law were thrilled with room. It was very affordable and we will be returning there on our next visit to downtown Chicago.response / report this review -

The only thing good about this hotel is the location. They are currently renovating ,but several years to late. There were absolutely no services. We asked a housekeeper in the hall for more towels and she threw a pile of miscellaneous unfolded towels on the bed. The only way to get anything was to go to the front desk. We have stayed in 2 star hotels with more to offer than this hotel. There is nothing 4 star about it. There are many hotels in the area, pick another one.

We reserved two rooms, a double and a king suite, both overlooking the river. Both were clean and comfortable and the living room portion of the suite easily big enough for the 6 people and one toddler in our group. Easy walking distance to everywhere we wanted to go - Navy pier, Millennium Park, Michigan Avenue, etc. The staff was lovely and brought us everything we needed! We couldn't find a restaurant close by for a reservation one night so ate at the hotel - delicious food and again, great service. There is a 7/11 on both ends of the street which was very convenient. We will be back - Great hotel!!!!!!!

Staff was super cool, and our room was wonderful! Pretty nice river views, too. Conveniently located around everything! 3 Starbucks stores in short, walking distance. 🤗 We didn't bring the kids, but there was enough room if we did - we loafed out on the sofa bed, and gawked out of the window all night..☺ Very cool place and staff. 👌

Bed is comfy room was big but the hotel is under construction and they don’t tell you that online when booking. They started at 7:45 today above my room… really 7:45? The hotel is over 20 floors maybe don’t put people in rooms directly under the construction. No amenities in the hotel either. No pool no access to gym parking deck is closed and you have to walk 5 min to the nearest parking deck and it’s 54$ a day to park with no in and out privileges. I’d recommend the river north location over river front 9/10 times.

My company hosted it's holiday party in the penthouse.Viewwas spectacular. Food was quite good. They had a carving station, a customizable pasta bar, a huge cheese spread, as well as passed appetizers and a dessert station. Drinks were poured generously as well. Servers were very professional. Overall a great event!

We had a studio suite and it worked out perfectly for us since there was plenty of space for all of our stuff and a seating area. The showers could definitely use more water pressure as it took forever to get the shampoo and conditioner out of your hair. Also, hotel staff told us they would call us when the rooms were ready for 2 separate rooms and they never called on either one. Overall, nice hotel and great location to Michigan ave.

It's good and friendly staff. Fast progress. We didn't have any trouble getting through to anywhere. They have waiting staff everywhere too help you. It's a green hotel so they try to conserve on changing the sheets and washing the towels. They have decent sized soaps available. They even have facial wash. The window curtain are a little confusing in our unit. It didn't close all the way.

Had a great stay in downtown Chicago! So many great places to visit within walking distance. The staff was all very friendly and helpful, especially the concierge services. The room itself was clean and spacious, faced the river, which was gorgeous (except for the yuge Trump logo that obscenely taints the scenery). I would definitely stay again!

We are halfway through our stay and so far they have been more than helpful. We arrived hours before check in and the stored our luggage for us until we returned later that evening. We got some amazing restaurant suggestions from the bell hop. Only issue we had is we had a room for 3 ppl and only enough towels for 2. After a quick phone call to the front desk they brought us more within 5 min. We are impressed so far.

Just went here for parking. The valet was hanging out inside the garage and a huge line was forming of people both picking up and dropping off. We assumed they were busy retrieving cars, but after several minutes, someone went in and found him just hanging out. Then we're cutting in line and he did nothing to organize the chaos or try to serve people in a fair order. But when I came to pick it up, things went much smoother as there was no line and two valets. The location was great and I got a heck of a deal on price by using the Best Parking app.

Room was very spacious, and was a lot bigger than what I was expecting. Great view even when you are facing a bunch of buildings, you get to look out at the buildings that are taller than yours. Beds were extremely comfortable, and were great to relax on, as well as sleep. Shower was fantastic. The only con for me was that breakfast is a full service restaurant, but it made for that by being in the vicinity of a lot of breakfast places. I will say one thing, if our room was that great, I can't imagine what the Presidential Suite is like!response / report this review -

Room was very spacious, and was a lot bigger than what I was expecting. Great view even when you are facing a bunch of buildings, you get to look out at the buildings that are taller than yours. Beds were extremely comfortable, and were great to relax on, as well as sleep. Shower was fantastic. The only con for me was that breakfast is a full service restaurant, but it made for that by being in the vicinity of a lot of breakfast places. I will say one thing, if our room was that great, I can't imagine what the Presidential Suite is like!

The resort is a very nice quaint home away from home. Right off the river in walking distance to Navy Pier. Great Eatery next door and many bars and other nightlife within minutes walk. Location is very centralized in the downtown area right off the Magnificent Mile. Sweets are very roomy and luxurious was very friendly staff. Concierge is very helpful with any recommendations on food where to shop and happy hour bars. I would highly recommend this Resort to anybody.

Valet parking is friendly, and walking into hotel outs a really nice lobby. Told front desk about our celebration and we were upgraded for free to a beautiful huge suite. The view was perfect. Check out in morning quick and easy. Called for valet to retrieve car 45 minutes before we checked out and still waited about 20 minutes before getting into car due to volume of other guests. Not a problem, just know to call sooner next time. Valet amazingly friendly even with the rush.response / report this review -

Wonderful staff, great views, excellent location but subpar rooms. The rooms looked wonderful, but they were hot and issue with the shower tubs draining. I realize it's an old building and may be difficult to maintain but the room temperature was too warm for us to comfortably sleep. We had the air on blast (no window units) and I'd say the room was never under 72 degrees. We asked the office for a fan and they kindly brought one up but it wasn't enough to make the room cool down enough to sleep well. During my visit the weather was 50 to 70 degrees, and always much cooler outside than within the room. This may not be the fault of the hotel at all, but I may have chosen another place if I had known how warm the rooms would stay.

The hotel itself was beautiful and we were pleased by the cleanliness and the neatness of the room we got. It was also great that they let us check in earlier than the expected time (3:00). Our only concern was with the lack of a pool area where the kids would have liked to swim. Also, we reserved a river view room expecting to be able to see the river right in front of us, but the windows were so high that we could only see our view standing up

We decided to try this hotel for a quick, one night stay while we were in Chicago. The place was spotless, and our room had amazing view. While we didn't spend too much time in the hotel, other than sleeping, it left a great impression on us! The service at the breakfast in the morning, was amazing. There was tons of food to choose from their menu and portions were nice. We came a bit late, but restaurant manager Bo was understanding, very professional and we had our breakfast in no time. He even came back to check on us to make sure that everything was good and that we enjoyed it. Five star service!
