I have visited this place for years since it was Howard Johnson and I have to admit it has improved a lot! The decor is not run down. The ambience is much more inviting. I would definitely go there again. I plan to!
It is a 2 star hotel and it earns that as a rating. Overall the rooms look nice and the people that work there are great. Let me say that again, thank you to all of the great people that work at this hotel. The housekeeping crew works some magic and are so polite. What warrants the two stars you may be wondering? The walls are paper thin and the traffic from the highway is very loud. I am a friendly person, but when I am trying to fall asleep I do not want to hear conversation next door loud enough to where it feels as if though I am in the room with them. If you need a good night's sleep, avoid this place. If you sleep sound 👏😥 God bless this place was made for you.
Would you like to stay at an old fashioned hotel? Well come on down! The sheets are dirty and there are things from the guest before you. Including hair balls, roaches, things i prefer not to mention, and much more! I came here on a DC trip thinking it would be a nice hotel, but I was Wrong! There was a creepy dude roaming the halls, and trying to get in the rooms around 12:00 - 3:30. The beds were not treated for bed bugs and I am Pretty sure I saw one.
My group looked online at the reviews and saw many of the same complaints and problems. I did not feel safe and the whole place made me feel creeped out. If I could I would give -5 stars. It is sad that the best thing in the hotel is the shower and TV.
Older hotel but I'm giving this 5 stars because Ashley is amazing. Worked the front desk, bar, grill, phones and basically every job in the place by herself. Shuttle and maintenance guy was good as Well, but this lady is a real gem and makes this place work. She deserves a raise and a promotion, as she did 6 jobs at once with a smile and kind attitude while putting in a lot of effort to make sure she did it perfectly. Kudos to you Ashley!
Room with Coffee maker, fridge and microwave, cable tv. Good service, attentious staff. 1.7 miles from metro station but the hotel provides its own shuttle service. Only minus that the room had a lot of noise from plumbing and a/c of the neighbors.
Newly renovated. Nice area with beautiful landscaping. Excellent customer service.
This place is awful. My wife and I came here on vacation for our wedding anniversary. The room is dirty and smells of cigarettes, we came here because they have bathtubs in the room, I enjoy soaking to relax. Well our bathtub flat out did not work. When I tried to call the lobby I picked up the room phone, it did not work, at all. I walked across the hotel to the lobby and the girl said well there’s nothing I can do. I am so angry right now.
Food in restaurant took about 45 minutes to prepare. The room was very clean except we found a dirty wash cloth on the shower curtain rod. We were woken up any times by loud arguing all night. Also the room had a faint order of cigarettes.
We traveled from CT for a quick trip to MD. The rate was reasonable and the staff was very friendly and the young lady at the front desk tried to be as accommodating as possible.
The reason I am giving this hotel 1 star is because we were initially checked into room 509 an out of service room which clearly should have not been on the hotel's roster. The ceiling was open and the was piping and a hose was running from the open ceiling to the toilet. The next room we were checked into room 253 had soiled sheets. We're then moved to room 241 which was supposed to have been checked by a hotel staff and the bed was covered in hair indicating that the sheets had not been changed At that point we decided not to stay and moved to another hotel.
It was a very nice stay the breakfast was delicious, the hospitality was AMAZING but there is something wrong with there ac and there elevator was very small and you can probably fit up to 7 to 8 people. Overall it was great!
This place is not what is advertised on their website. They might be in transition. Nice rooms, lobby, however the rest not so nice. Enough changes to make it look good for the websites.
The staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was really good. The hotel I think is under renovation, but isn't quite there yet. My room smelled odd and the bed was creaky. The hallways are quite worn and I've never been in an elevator that bizarre before. Overall it wasn't the worst experience I've ever had, but I'm surprised Wyndham put their name on it.
The hotel was very nice. Everything was clean and the breakfast was nice. My only problem was that the walls were so thin you could hear every noise. I wish the walls were more sound proof. Although, they allowed us to check in earlier with no problems so that was very nice of them. Over all it was a very nice stay.
We found this hotel on our drive to Washington DC, we're so lucky the place is clean and the people are so friendly. Our room was beautiful, clean, modern and it's smell so good! I took one start because even though we had a nice coffee maker there was no coffee to be made in the morning and also the air conditioner didn't work well so we were so hot all night, thank God it's not summertime. We'll definitely recommend this hotel and will come back to it.
