Out of the way just enough not to be downtown, but close enough to be in all central places in a matter of minutes. Also, it is very charming and cozy, but don't expect big rooms, or bathrooms. This is not a flashy Ritz.

Quaint, european style inn. Friendly staff and perfect for a low key, relaxed and private stay. It's close to the metro and surrounded by great shops and restaurants. We try to stay at the Windsor Inn every time we visit D.C.

This hotel was such a mixed bag. Great location close to bars and restaurants and a cozy feel with an amazing (and friendly) hotel cat. However, our first room was right next to the hallway door, which closed so loudly it rattled the door to our room. Definitely not a high quality hotel, but we enjoyed our stay nonetheless.

The staff is polite enough, and the rooms are nice and roomy. Our stay was made pleasant by the small but useful commodities in the room. They had plenty of outlets, and dressers, a desk, and provided complimentary toiletries. Overall, I would return on my next visit to DC

Very cozy place to stay! Clerks had amazing customer service. My husband and I booked last minute and they even told us to bring our bags by so we could go out and explore without carrying it, coffee and water to go. Ended up staying out till 11 pm and had no problems checking in and they even offered dinner suggestions. Next day we check out same thing, gave us water and coffee to go and to keep our bags until we left. Cozy room, it was smaller but it had everything you need in a room. SUPER CLEAN! We were very impressed here!

Cheap place in great
Location. Though the room was pretty small and the bathroom was smaller, I loved staying there because of its prime location and wonderful neighbourhood. Nice and helping group of staff. I would like to return and recommend others (mostly to those looking for budget places )response / report this review -

Smallest room I've ever been in. But for the most part, a fine experience. It's an older hotel, not too uncommon in the area. It was cheap, and for the price I would stay again.

Not a bad place to stay. Great location and close to the National Mall as well as other restaurants and stores. Rooms were small and were reminiscent of small studio apartments. I could definitely tell that my neighbor was watching baseball in their room though.

After reading the reviews on this hotel i wasn't expecting much but much to my surprise it was lovely. Once we got there the host was kind and inviting. He asked to help with any of the bags we may have and even upgraded our room and even told us about some great spots to eat. The hotel is in a great part of town not to far from all the activities so you can still walk but not to close that it is loud all night. If you are looking for somewhere to stay in the DC area i would defiantly suggest staying here!

For DC standards this is a cheap ($200ish/night) nice option located in a pretty good part of town. You are easily within walking distance to U street and they have tons of restaurants and bars there. I booked a night there for a show at the 9:30 club which was about a 10-15 walk from the hotel. The cheapest rooms come with a twin size bed and a bathroom and TV. The room was small but clean and I was definitely satisfied with it. The only downside is that there is no parking lot for customers of the hotel so you will need to find street parking or park in a garage. They do have breakfast but it's an additional 5$ which is unfortunate. Didn't try it so I can't comment on the quality of the food. Overall good and cheapish place to stay if you are looking for a place to crash after a fun night out in DC.

Be aware, there is no parking provided even to drop luggage off before looking for a place to park. This place is old and run down. Wallpaper is peeling, paint is chipping, and it just looks like it's come out of the 70's. The showers are just stalls and the water temperature varies 25 degrees without even touching the dial. It's in a safe, cute neighborhood, but any of the touristy things you want to do, you may have to get a cab.
