staff pleasant and welcoming. We had afternoon tea, not overly impressed with tea service, tea bags are used. Sandwiches are a bit dry but were tasty, other sweets were good. Waiter was ok, did not check on us and tried to rush us when we were indecisive about our order.

I simply love this hotel.

I am a business executive with a hectic travel schedule that puts me in DC 2-3 days per week and I find the Henley Park absolutely terrific.

The wonderful old style of this grand boutique hotel, along with the stately architecture and the warm hospitality fo the staff makes me feel at home each time I arrive. It is one of my favorite hotels ever!!

The star of the show is perhaps Ms. Kimberly Labonte, Sales Manager who has done some pretty extraordinary things to to make me, my wife and our toddler comfortable during our stays at the Henley - and the entire staff has that same friendly, warm and caring demeanor - which is easily worth 5 stars!!!

This is a stately Hotel with a wonderful staff and they welcome you with open arms. The location is great. I absolutely recommend it!!

Smaller but personable hotel in downtown Washington next to the convention center and in walking distance to Chinatown and Verizon center.
No flashy amenities but quality restaurant and bar are on premises. The smaller size makes it a much more personal experience and the helpful staff makes your stay a positive memory.

Great price and value, for a conveniently located, Washington, DC hotel. Clean, with great character and charm. Very friendly staff. Every time I came through the front door of the hotel, I received a "Welcome Back" greeting that made me smile.

I looked around for deal for a couple days in DC. All the travel sites were with a couple dollars from each other on all the Hotels I had looked at. When I finally made my choice on The Henley Park I called them to check pricing and got a lower rate than the booking sites. YMMV I don't know the difference between good 5 star or an excellent 4 star hotel. The experience I had was 5 star. The staff was excellent and the hotel was immaculate. The room we had was very small but comfortable.
The room was also quiet and the black out curtains were a plus. The lounge was friendly and they had specials. The restaurant was great too.
The New England mussel clam chowder was a stand out! I would not hesitate to stay there again.

A very nice cozy place. My wife and I stayed here for the Labor day weekend and really enjoyed it: the room was clean and we could not hear the neighbours. Also has a good restaurant downstairs.

Great location, helpful and kind staff. Beautiful hotel, historic homes of America. Nice touches like bath and body Works soap and lotion. Really have enjoyed my stay here! Traveled with my baby and they brought us a fridge for the room for his milk! Lots of nice things close by, well stay again!

The location is great. Only a few blocks away from the White House. The staff has been very friendly and helpful. Not all rooms come with a fridge, but when we asked for one they had one put in very quickly. The lobby is very nice. The room is kind of small, but didn't really bother us. I would definitely recommend staying here.

Friendly & helpful staff. The Henley has an elegant feel from years past in its dining area and lobby, while at the same time feeling like it needs updated in the hallways. Still, you don't pay a hotel for its hallways, and our room was fine. Comfortable beds and clean rooms are important to me, and that is what the Henley offered. Our queen bedroom also had a mini fridge. Free wifi was a plus (should be the standard, right?). Overall I enjoyed my stay.

It was a nice place to stay. The pillows were too thick and the business center is a closet with a PC and printer. No desk space to work on. I was able to work in the bar, but no outlets near seating.

Boy, you can sure tell who the Millennials are, looking for their Holiday Inn Express fix! Yes, the Henley Park is old. And historic. And, yes, characteristically, the rooms are small, as they are in many historic properties. But I love the bar, the restaurant, and the neighborly ambiance of the place. I admit that I've not stayed overnight at the Henley Park for several years, but I would surely go again because I favor character and uniqueness over rubber-stamped hotel branding.

I was made to feel welcome by executive management at the Henley Park Hotel prior to my arrival, during my stay, and also after. What made my stay at Henley Park Hotel memorable was my suite and also the exceptional bartender that went above and beyond to ensure my client and I were comfortable and taken care of. Lunch at the restaurant was delicious. The venue is also ideal for private receptions and business meetings.

My standard room was elegant, clean and the bed very comfortable. All staff are very friendly and professional and I was even given 2 free water bottles for each of the 2 nights I was there. However, there was no available charging outlet on either side of the bed. There was one on the lamp on the dresser in front of the bed and that only worked if you had the lamp on. So I had to charge my phone in the bathroom overnightwhich was not really a big deal since everything else regarding my stay was pleasant. I recommend this place.

Our room was simple but comfortable and clean, except there was some white tacky substance on the floor in a few spots that was easy to clean up. The bed was comfortable. The hotel was easy walking distance of Chinatown and the White House. They have a cute lobby.

They have valet parking, which was $39/day. When I asked if we could leave our car with the valet past check-out town at noon, they said we could but it would be another $39 charge. We ended up parking in a parking lot 0.5 miles away, that was $37 for the two days.

Being a historic hotel, there were not that many outlets in the room. In the end, I unplugged the lamp by my bed so I could plug my cell phone somewhere I could reach from the bed.
