We had a parlor suite in the historic section, which has been fully modernized and was very comfortable--except for the notable absence of any coffee or tea-making ability in the room. (Seriously?) The staff are exceedingly pleasant and accommodating. Overall, it was a very nice stay.
The hotel is elegant, large well appointed rooms. The staff are courtesy and attentive. The only thing I did not like was the restaurant, the wait staff were extremely slow and unknowing. I only went once near closing so my experience might have been a one off. Again the hotel was great, except the need a place for smokers to put their cigarette butts so we don't have to litter while smoking out front.
The dining room was near empty. Wait staff was polite but did not seem well informed. Made repeated requests but were ignored. The food was very good. The small plates are quite large. The duck confit was excellent. The main course Meat load and short ribs were both large portions and very tasty. Too full for dessert. Overall food made this place a place to return but need better instruction on wait staff.
Fantastic hotel!! Beautiful inside. The staff is awesome! The front desk was great. The bellmen were so helpful and kind! We would definitely stay there again! Thank you for a wonderful time!
Hey class at a great value. Centrally located in downtown, halfway between the Capitol and the White House. Metro stop (yellow line) is a block and a half away for easy transversing of the city. Restaurant and bar are about what you'd expect, great food and drink at typical hotel prices. Staff is exceptional and the Morrison-Clark has become my go to for DC hospitality.
We loved our stay at the Morrison Clark Inn. This property is in a great location that puts you near museums and other points of interest in the D.C. Downtown area. The room was comfortable, clean and quiet. We also enjoyed our breakfast at the restaurant. The front desk, employees and wait staff were all very nice and attentive. We can't wait to return for our next stay.
The room was in great shape, bathroom, furniture, bed, all were clean and high quality. AC was nice and cold (important for D.C. Summers). The staff was terrific and always helpful and nice. The bar and restaurant seem like they're there just so they can be listed as amenities. Went to both once, wasn't impressed, went out the rest of my stay. The floor layout is confusing, they really need better way finding, even if it's just a few signs at the elevators. But honestly, it just meant that I saw more of the hotel than I normally would have.
Top shelf hotel! Great room, bed, staff and location! Highly recommended!
Well run, very clean botique hotel in downtown DC. Staff very friendly and attentive. Close to the Metro and the Mall. Just remodeled. Previous Historic residence and now hotel. ONLY knock is no coffee in the room or in the lobby. Have to go to in house restaurant and pay $2.50 per cup.
I actually enjoyed staying at this historic hotel. It is very close to convention center and the staff are veerrry nice and accommodating.
Very nice hotel. Very upscale and comfortable. Had no issues with check in or out. Everything was smooth and pleasant. Not so far from the center of things either.
Room was very nice! We ordered room service for breakfast. The order was delivered quickly and was accurate. They parked our care and took great care of our basic needs.
