We chose this hotel because it is within walking distance of the Museum of the Bible and stayed this past weekend. We were very impressed with everything about the the hotel - the staff especially. Everybody - front desk, housekeeping, bell station, restaurant - we interacted with went out of their way to be friendly and helpful. We were allowed early check-in with no additional charge. The room was quite spacious and well furnished and well lighted. The bed was very comfortable with choices of firm or soft pillows. Everything was clean and fresh. We appreciated the Keurig to make coffee with both regular and decaf. The buffet breakfast had lots of choices and the food was good. (If you are given the choice of adding it to your room when you make the reservation, it's a much better buy).

I enjoyed my stay. The hotel was great for what we paid. The tv signal was a little distorted and our shower door didn't shut correctly. Other than those things we had a very nice stay.

I visited the hotel for lunch at the restaurant, which was convenient to the Smithsonian Air and Space Museum. It was a fairly typical hotel restaurant, good but unremarkable. I had e cheeseburger and a beer, my son had a specialty burrito. All well prepared, tasty, and not overly expensive for the area.

Nice clean room, only a few of the staff stood out as really trying to please, others seed continually bored. Kudos to Tanya in the restaurant. She went above and beyond. Pleasant and funny. The lady who cleans in the rm 905 area, very pleasant and helpful and the gentleman who was doing tourist information near the check in/out deskvery helpful!

Very clean hotel. Friendly staff. No bed bugs. No funky hotel odor, smells fresh and clean. Close walking distance to L'Enfant metro, the air and space museum, restaurants etc. There's a small laundry room with small boxes of detergent for purchase if you need to wash clothes. Taxi's are outside the main entrance if you prefer to use those. Starbucks is right around the corner. As for the restaurant inside the hotel, that's another story. They were not busy and it took the waitress 20 minutes to bring us our drinks which was sprite nothing extravagant. The hostess and what looked like the manager were nice but our waitress seemed to care less about being there and was very slow. It's a shame because the food was good, its just the service sucked. There are a lot more choices in restaurants around DC to go to so explore options. Hard Rock Cafe was awesome. Overall I plan on staying at this hotel again.

We stayed here 3 years ago and loved the accommodations. So we knew that when we decided to visit D.C. again this was the choice for us. The hotel and restaurant staffs are very friendly. It is a perfect location for the Smithsonian Air and Space museum. We highly recommend the Holiday Inn Capital.

We arrived early and they allowed us to check our bags in. That's was awesome because that way we didn't have to tote than around. We were able to check in also and they made sure to give us a room away from the trains. When we did return our room was clean and neat. We got a two double bed room. We like the look of the room. The room does come with a fridge. We have enjoyed our stay so far.

Pretty rooms, comfortable and clean. They didn't service our room, but where quick to bring us extras when we called. Parking is stupid expensive ($40) and I'm used to a more casual experience at holiday Inn.

Quick overview: - Great location! - Rooms seem updated and modern. - Bed and pillows super comfy. - Water pressure in shower isn't that great (at least on floor 9.) - Starbucks attached to hotel. - In-house restaurant serves meals all day. - Would stay here again.

If anyone is looking for a great deal on hotels you can check it out on HotelRaven. com Booked a room on there and they have the cheapest rates around

They lost a star for initially giving us a room that was occupied and them offering us free breakfast for our troubles. When we went down to eat our free breakfast they charged us $17 each and said we did not have a free breakfast. They lost another star for the train. If you are a light Sleeper, this is not the hotel for you. The rooms are very clean and the beds are very comfortable. The staff is courteous and smiles a lot. I like the toiletries in the bathroom as well.
