Great place to have a business meeting. The staff is very attentive and friendly. The food is delicious. Will definitely go back!

Rented a condo through WD for a busy summer holiday weekend. Reservations staff was friendly and accommodating when our selected property wasn't available for the time we needed. Listened to our needs and found our group a similar property. While on the resort, we took advantage of the beach, pool, bike rental, golf, tennis, and the playground. A perfect location for our mixed-age group. We will definitely be back again soon!

After arriving to check in, well after the 4 pm time, our room was still not yet available due to a "smell" issue. We were then placed in a double queen room, though we had booked a king. Staff was not very accommodating in rectifying this situation.
I understand that it is the off season but one of the restaurants had "electrical issues" one day and had no food availablestaff suggested I walk to the other restaurant several minutes away. It didn't seem like any big deal to them at all.
Several staff members in guest services were either rude and talked over me when I called to ask about ordering in room dining, connecting me to a closed restaurant or hanging up the phone without so much as a goodbye or to make sure that our questionswhich were fewwere answered.
Luckily, the golf course was in pretty good shape and the weather wonderful. The bartenders and manager at the Salty Goat were the highlight of our stay. They provided the best service we had and the food was delicious (definitely recommend the Taco Tuesday treats).
I do not plan to return here to stay due to the confusion and attitudes of the staff.response / report this review -

The location is great. The isle of palms and the respective beaches are wonderful. The resort is nice with excellent large rooms and patios (at least at the villages). The one bummer is that the place is unusually spread out and food is difficult to find other than the hotel option. Rooms can be quite pricey in the summer but a decent deal in the shoulder months. It is mixed in with a gated community. You won't want for amenities.

I have stayed at nice places before, but they wanted a credit card deposit of a couple hundred dollars for incidentals that we have not spent yet. That sounds more like a Holiday Inn policy. Had they publicized this, I would have stayed somewhere else.
They were nice enough to let us check in early. The villa was pretty clean.response / report this review -

Wild Dunes is a great place for families to get away and enjoy the beach without fighting the public beach crowds. The facilities offered here make very easy to not have to leave the resort and the staff have always been top notch in service in the ten years we've been going. Since it is right outside of Charleston,. If you are looking for for something more, you're a quick jump away. Rooms have always been a home away from home with great amenities. There is enough pools around if swimming in the ocean isn't your thing.

This was my family's first stay at Wild Dunes and it could not have been any better! The suite was exquisite! I always take my own cleaning supplies along when staying away from home so I can clean the way that I like things. It was unnecessary in our suite at The Village!! Everything was perfect already! There are top notch amenities and plenty to do without ever leaving the property. The staff throughout resort were kind and helpful. The property is also very secure, which is import to me. We will stay here again and again.

Terrible customer service by email and phone. I needed to make an adjustment to a reservation for my boss and emailed twice with no response. Called and was transferred to reservations and they did not answer. I actually got the voicemail at a hotel/resort (first time for everything). When I called back and finally got some one I found out that my request had indeed been filled, however, there was no follow up. Exactly how was I supposed to know that the changes I requested were made in no one takes the time to send a reply email or at least an updated confirmation. It really sucks that I didn't get at the very least a fake customer service apology for their oversight.

I walked into the resort for the Pokemon gym near the entrance. I only met a few of the guests who were out for their morning run or bike. One guest pointed out an alligator in the pond right in front of me. The resort was well maintained.

Golfed at the Harbor Course. Great scenic views, challenging but fun course. Obviously tons of water traps, so be prepared to bring tons of golf balls if you aren't always on line.

Took my son and his friends there to have a Halloween party. First my booking got messed up. Then upon check out they tried to over charge me and the man assisting me was very rude and wasn't going to fix the problem. While handling my issue I over heard at least 3 others over charged. The beds were like sleeping on cardboard. There was a fridge but no microwave. We stayed one day and at 9 am the maid walked in and woke us Up! She should have waited until check out instead of bothering my 3 sleeping children. For the price you pay you should have pure luxury, I would of been better off at the Holiday Inn! Only positive thing was a beautiful beach.
