Decent hotel. Heading to my room, I noticed internet cables bunched up by the ceiling. I never noticed any signage for renovations so that might be permanent. I went down for breakfast and saw some slices of ham floating around in a pan of water (not very appealing). I decided to go with fruit and take it back to my room. I sat down to eat and noticed a long black hair on my pineapple. So I threw the whole plate away. The location is the main selling point of this hotel. I would stay again but I'll go out for breakfast next time. I had a digital key so I never spoke to the staff.

I want to start with the positive, the staff were very nice at the front desk. The person that puts together the breakfast was such a sweet woman, we arrived to the hotel after 10:00 am but was still able to grab a bite to eat from breakfast along with a great cup of coffee. Our room overall looked clean by the immediate site. We now arrived back to the hotel after spending a day in Historical Charleston (about 10:00pm) pulled back the bedding to get into bed and the sheets looked as if they were slept in and also finding hairs on the bedding. That did not go over well with me. Slept on top of blanket. I did mention it to the front desk. The manager has reimbursed us for 1 night stay. (still pending). Would I stay again? Possibly yes, if I can see the room before committing to staying at this hotel. BTW, For all my travel within the US, I always stay at a Hampton Inn. Never had a problem before.

Room is clean and walking distance to patriot point. Breakfast is standard fare for Hampton Inn. Staff are very courteous. The biggest challenge was finding the hotel to check in since it is tucked away from the main roads. Easy access to head up to myrtle beach or down to Charleston and beyond once you find the hotel.

My husband and I stayed at this hotel for one night and that was to long. I don't think this hotel has been updated in the 30 years or since it was built. The personel at checking in had no pride in their appearance. Room smelled old and looked dirty. Asked for a better room and was told all the rooms were old. Don't advice anyone to stay here. Not owned by Hampton Inn but private owners. Hampton Inn should not let them use their name.

It was pretty good. The fan in the bathroom did absolutely nothing so it fogged the whole place up. Other than that everything was fine

I've been to this Hampton a couple times and have been happy each time. A little bit of renovation going on right now but the coffee is always hot, the breakfast food is almost always great and they mix it up. Rooms are very clean and staff is friendly. Can't really ask for more. Internets a bit slow but is the complimentary level, and it gets the job done.

The hotel is located within walking distance from just about everything you want to see. They offered champagne upon arrival, fruit and herb infused water, and snacks. Large bathrooms and very clean rooms. Very friendly staff.

Everything else is fair but I can't get over with the STRONG cigarette smell in the lobby. I know they offer smoking rooms, but I think they can do a better job about the smell in the public area. My kids had to cover their faces every time we walked through the lobby. No where to hide when we were waiting for the elevators!

It was a little hard to find the correct turn to get into the hotel because they are doing construction, but that's not the hotels fault. The rooms were very clean and everything was perfect in the room. Staff was lovely! They were always polite and they engaged in some lovely conversation with us. Breakfast was great. Another choice for the hot breakfast would be nice though.
