Great staff, the fitness center is a bit small. But they have an excellent location and keep the place running very well.
While it said there was complimentary coffee in the lobby, there wasn't. When we asked, they said the complimenatry coffee was in the room. But overall, the room was nice and clean. Day employees behind the front desk were much more pleasant than night employees, to the point that I'm willing to write in my review. Tony at the bar is great!
One night stay. The room was clean and quiet, even though it was near the elevator. There were holes in the wall where apparently pictures had once hung, but other than that the condition of the room was average. The hotel and the rooms smelled nice and clean, not just sprayed with deodorizer, but actually clean.
This hotel is beautiful. when you walk in it's smells good and all through the lobby. The rooms are very comfortable. Even before you get to the room, elevator and hallway to your room are clean. Bathroom clean, bed inviting, furnishings good quality, and plenty of space. Would recommend to everyone. GA from NC
Everything was great. We had arrived early and our room wasnt ready and instead of us sitting there for awhile the lady at the first desk suggested some places to visit and held our bags while we explored. I think what she did put the score to a 5 for her great customer service. Will return when we come back over that way.
The hotel looks nice and the staff was friendly. I enjoyed them putting a bag of fresh towels on our door when we didn't want to be serviced. However, after our first night I woke up to get ready and after I took a shower I was getting ready and heard something drop in the shower. It startled me and I was thinking I didn't have a soap bar or anything and when I peeked in it was a GIANT palmetto cockroach!!! I freaked out and had my fiance kill it. We told the front desk lady and she just brushed it off that there is no way to prevent them. She ended up giving me a free water for my "suffering." The cracks under the doors are huge so I'm sure it came in under there. We ended up putting a towel under our door for the second night and didn't wake up to any visitors.
I was very pleased with the hotel. The hotel is really close to downtown Charleston and The Isle of Palms .The rooms were nice and the beds were very comfortable. I had a room with a balcony which was perfect for my morning coffee. We had a GREAT experience. I would definitely recommend it to others. I will also be staying again in the near future. I only gave it 4 stars because the shower/tub drained extremely slow and the building (lobby/hallways) was COLD.
Room was good size. Towels were dirty. People were nice and issues fixed right away.
Great location. The hotel was very clean. We are very happy with our stay.
I reserved a handicapped room for my son and his friend who is in a wheelchair for two nights. They were there for their college roommate"s wedding. When I called in February to reserve the room for May, I talked with a nice white woman who was very helpful answering my questions and getting me the right room to suit the young man in the wheelchair. She even told me that once they got to Mt. Pleasant, they could scoot on by since that room would most likely be ready before 3:00. I had told her that the boys needed to take showers and be at the church for rehearsal in Summerville right after 4:00. I was happy knowing that I had secured a great place and since the rest of the wedding party was also at this Marriott, everything seemed great! Well, the boys got down about 1:45 and was told that the room was almost ready. My son kept checking and they kept on saying , Oh just a few more minutes more". Well, the boy in the wheelchair had to go ahead and use the downstairs public restroom to try and change his clothes to get ready for the rehearsal. He had no chance to take a shower and it was hard not having enough space in the bathroom to change. My son stayed with the other bags they had on the cart while the friend was trying to change. At 3:05,my son went back to the counter (he was sitting in the chair in front of the counter), and asked about getting into the room. He was told that check in was at 3;00. He said, "it is 3:05 and I want my room! They asked if there was anything else they could do for him. NO!!!!!!!!!!!! He wanted his room!!!!! They were also supposed to have a sofa that pulled out in the room, but they did not have one. They had to call for a tv remote control since there was not one in the room. I am so disappointed that I booked this place for the boys or should I say, young men to stay in while at the wedding. I will NEVER recommend this place to anyone, nor will I stay myself. There are many other hotels to stay at and I wish that my son and his friend had left and found another hotel. So so sad that I booked it in February and they could not be ready for this precious young man in a wheelchair to get into the room to take a shower and get dressed properly. A month ago I stayed in a Courtyard Marriott in State College, PA and it was delightful! Quite a difference between this one and that one!!!!!!
Clean and comfortable but noisy. You can hear between rooms and doors slam even when you are careful. No free coffee in lobby probably because they sell Starbucks in the morning. No coffee after that except what is in the room
The room and hotel itself was immaculate. The staff was attentive and helpful when I needed suggestions for a local restaurant. The location was good. Not too far of a drive from the beach or to the grocery store. I would happily stay there again. The facility lived up to what I expect from the Marriott brand.
