The swimming pools are fantastic. It's right on Charleston Harbor, with wonderful views. They offer many amenities. I got a good rate online. You can walk right down to get on the water taxi. And there are the cutest little black crabs all over running around in the sand, under the boardwalks, etc.
The place is beautiful. The detail they put into the interior design is something special. But unfortunately, if I'm paying $300 a night, I'd like to have a TV that isn't infested with static and dying pixels. The coffee maker was in a location where the wasn't a plug. In fact, I had to sit it on the floor to eve. Get it to plug in. The lamps didn't work, the hutch surrounding the tv had missing light bulbs, etc But these are all little things that I could live past. The staff was beyond friendly and the room was clean during check in. The view was also nice, although there was some trash laying around in the rear of the resort, in the sand that wasn't picked up after several days.
Clean fancy place. With two freezing pools and one pool as warm as hot tub, seen 1 drink server in 3 hours by the pool and had to find her to cash out. Maybe due to off season. Reef bar out of pizza crust for two days. Not cool when that's more than half your menu. Maybe due to off season. Taco bed in room 1 changed with no problems to room 2. Great shuttle service for free and shuttle guy knowledgeable.
Beautiful hotel with fantastic views of the marina, City, and water. The staff were very helpful and did their best to make our start enjoyable. For the price, this hotel is not up to The level of service, quality, an amenities compared to other hotels in the same price point was sub par. Our room was clean and very nice looking. The only negative comment I have is our ceiling fan in the room didn't work. I feel like this hotel should be in the low $300s per night after all taxes and fees instead of the $400s range.
Great location and friendly staff, but this place feels like it needs a serious rejuvenation. If you care for service, details, or amenities, you'll be disappointed. While rooms have great views, they have tons of "miles" on them: rough edges, broken light fixtures, and overall poor quality. Walking the property, it seems like something is always being worked on. Upon arrival, plan ahead for meals because there isn't room service and most areas close early. Pic is of our bathroom access panel on Jacuzzi that "Engineering" fixed by removing the tape. The hotel didn't offer, nor did we ask for any assistance/compensation, but it seems they should've done something.
I enjoyed my stay. The view of the harbor is gorgeous. The resort is very nice. The room, large windows, and general atmosphere made for a nice tranquil stay. The only negative was the lobby men's restroom, which there are working to correct.
This hotel had all the nice things that made me feel like I was being taken care of. Our weekend was very luxurious and comfortable. They replaced towels and bright us new robes. The front desk woman was very helpful with the shuttle.
Totally agree with Sarah Martin. I was in the OLD building. Asked about the in room safe, except there was not one in the room. Front desk said it was removed for repair. Total BS as there were no holes in the wall to mount it. No clock of any kind in the room. Front desk said previous renter had asked for it to be removed. Now who asks for a clock to be removed?? On the plus side, view is awesome. Try the Fish House Bridge Bar and see the the aircraft carrier, destroyer and Revenal bridge at sunset.
Absolutely amazing. The entire staff was friendly and professional. The resort was clean and well kept both inside and out. The pool areas were awesome, plenty of room to relax with a great view of the harbor. The view of the bridge behind the USS YORKTOWN made for some really nice pictures. I highly recommend staying at Charleston harbor resort.
As a professional wedding vendor in and around the Charleston area, it's always nice and refreshing to go to a wedding venue and work with such a professional staff. Kaitlyn and her staff at the resort were very helpful in coordination and planning of a recent wedding of mine. They were extremely flexible as well. The Charleston Harbor Resort & Marina is actually a bit of a tropical paradise just across the river from downtown in Mt Pleasant. If you are seeking a beautiful place with a beautiful staff with an amazing backdrop of Charleston, call Kaitlyn today.
Beautiful resort! Enjoyed drinks by the water & walked over to the restaurant on property & had a beautiful view there. First time we were in the Charleston area that we didn't leave our resort! Can't wait to go back & stay longer!
We love being able to look out our windows and see the water and beach. Also in our view, we can see the pool. The weather is hotter than we are used to, but it's a nice change.
Marina and Charleston Harbor based hotel. Rooms have a nice maritime theme. Lots of places to eat and drink. Plan to eat at the "The Fish House" bar during happy hour, 4-6pm Sunday thru Friday. GREAT burgers, calamari, and fried green tomatoes. Fire pits at night and very nice sunsets.
This is an amazing resort! We spent 6 days there and couldn't have been happier. The resort and grounds are beautiful. The staff are friendly and accommodating to us. We came for Charleston Race Week. Lots of family and friends in and out of our suite. Everyone had a great time. I had a facial at the Spa. Loved Dori who gave me the facial. Took the trolley into Market st to shop. The views are amazing. We won't stay anywhere else when we come to Charleston.
