No longer a Hampton Inn, the hotel will be transformed into a modern Wingate! Reno's are starting already and will be finished soon. Nice quite location located seconds from 26 and minutes from tanger outlet and a ton shopping! Just 15 minutes from downtown Charleston. Nice hot breakfast accompanied by large dining area as well. New friendly staff for you to meet as well!

A low quality Hampton Inn. Definitely shows signs of age, which is understandable, but the lack of interest by the front desk is inexcusable.
The room has a shower (only) with a six foot tall shower door system. One of the doors fell off, missing my foot by a few inches. A full size glass door like this weighs enough to break bones. After reporting this, all I got was a shrug.
The room door didn't close by itself either. I check but was almost caught off guard as only cheap places have this problem.
Ultimately I talked to the actual hotel management and they were going to look into these issues, but I also learned the hotel will be phased out by the end of October. There is a new Hampton a few hundred feet away replacing this one.response / report this review -

Nice staff, clean rooms, fine breakfast. Quieter than I expected for an airport hotel, honestly. Only strange thing is that my wife and I were put in a room with two double beds (we thought they were queens until we laid down, or we might have asked to switch rooms). Only docking a star for that because I don't remember ever seeing double beds in a Hampton. Usually it's either two queens or a king. Double check when booking!

I was happy with this hotel. I had a room with a king bed. It was small, but nice. The blinds kept the room very dark, which I really appreciate. The free, hot breakfast is pretty good as compared with other free hotel breakfasts I've had. There are eggs, sausage, potatoes, oatmeal, cereal, waffles, fresh fruit, and yogurt. The staff was helpful. It's maybe a 10 minute drive. There is also a pool and fitness center, but I didn't use them this time.

Great stay. Clean and comfortable rooms, great breakfast and all day coffee available in Lobby. Shuttle service was a great convenience. Outstanding service. Elisabeth was the receptionist and she turned out to be so personable and helpful. She really helped make our stay wonderful.

A very nice hotel. Give it a try.
Now, I noticed a lot of workers there. The carpet is a little stained and the elevator smells a little bit of oil but those are the only downfalls!!!
The rooms are immaculately clean.. even the carpets. Everything smells great everything works perfectly. I love the dark rich decor, it fits the Charleston area. Water pressure is great. Housekeeping doesn't bother you but is very helpful if needed. The front desk staff is nice. It's perfectly adequate. I'd stay there again if traveling.response / report this review -

Nice hotel. Hampton inn provides a nice breakfast and many free snacks for guests. Room is nice and clean. Room is a little cramped with the layout and furniture and the tv is small and not centered with the bed so watching from there is awkward. Normal hampton inn experience which is above average.

The hotel was nice nice and clean and breakfast was outstanding. It is difficult to find this hotel and somewhat confusing due to its close proximity to a Hampton Inn and Suites. WiFi connections were slow.

I must commend Marissa, the manager. She is wonderful. She delievered exceptional customer service. She helped my daughters and I with an issue that could have ruined our weekend vacaction. Instead she made it a blessing. Thank you. Marissa, you are Awesome!!

The hallway carpets are pretty gross, all stained up, it's just not a good look when someone is just coming to this hotel. The rooms are good, besides the fact that we didn't have a fridge or microwave (the other two Hamptons we stayed at had both, so we came prepared with things to put in the fridge and couldn't). There was also this gross smell outside that made its way into the hotel hallways. Breakfast was good and the staff was nice! Not sure if we would stay at this one again

Understated and honest hospitality in lovely facilities. Rooms are large and really comfortable, and what a delight to come back to coffee and tea any time and sit by the fire to rest your feet! Charleston is one of our favorite cities and we've stayed at a number of nice places; this beats them all
