Beautiful place. Attentive staff. Bar & Restaurant on premises. Meeting rooms available also. Great location across the street from the Alamo.

Beautiful hotel, wonderful location. The only drawback was our room. We were told when we made our reservation it was worth the extra money for the view of the Alamo. Our view was of trees! I have trees at home. After a night in that room the desk clerk moved us up a few floors. If you want to see the Alamo make sure your room is higher up or save your money. Very nice room tho and excellent tub!
Update! I want to add that the staff was wonderful. Especially Jena! Thank you!

I stayed here for my bachelorette party, and it was beautiful and perfect. The staff was helpful and attentive, and our rooms were amazing. However, I had an awkward and unpleasant experience with one of the staff. David on the ground floor recommended a strip club to our party, which wouldn't have been so bad if he hadn't followed up with his own strip club experiences. He began weirdly dancing on some of my ladies, and we were all eager to leave and get on with our night. I'm sure he was trying to be helpful, but I expect more from such a beautiful hotel than the staff telling me about how many lap dances they got.

Emily Morgan made my husband and I special Anniversary / Birthday weekend one to remember!! The front desk were pleasant, knowledgeable, and always eager to help! We entered our suite (Junior King Suite w/ sitting area and jetted spa tub) staff had a chilled bottle of champagne and a special Anniversary/Birthday Dessert!!! Our room was cleaned, spacious, and comfortable bed! Once settled we enjoyed a romantic horse and carriage ride for two arranged by the front staff desk. As if that wasnt enough a special server named (Ashley) surprised us with complimentary Mimosas. We felt like royalty and will definitely will be booking another stay through the Hilton Honor program! Keep up the good work guys! I will definitely be
recommending this specific hotel to all my friends and family!

Attended military reunion here in 2013 and in 2017. Hotel staff is wonderful and eager to help. Rooms are very comfortable. Food is good but not excellent at high prices. Valet parking is very expensive with no real alternatives available. Location, location, location, right across the street from the Alamo.

Front desk staff was very friendly. Clean rooms. Bar staff was the best I have had in the area with great prices! We come every year to this hotel and will continue to return for their service and hospitality

The location is extremely convenient near the Alamo and river walk. The room was clean and service was amazing. However if you did drive there, there are no free parking options. We attempted to pay for public parking assuming it would be less than the $39 a day valet but it wasn't so we ended up using it the second day. Also we did pay an upcharge for an Alamo facing room, but we were street facing and could only see employee Alamo parking.

Stayed on 4th floor. Great staff, except for issues handling a double charge for our stay. Carpet turned our feet black. Good reason to jump in the giant tubs. Bring your own microwave if you plan to have leftover meals for lunch.

My stay was unremarkable. However, at checkout I left my belongings with the front desk. When I returned to meet my airport shuttle, they had "lost" my favorite jacket. I replaced it for under $100 with assurances that I would be reimbursed. It has now been 3 months and the front desk manager has refused to return my calls or emails. I am a mother of five living on a teacher's salary. This money could provide 3 meals for my family. Not only am I a teacher, but I have been a front desk agent and an Asst. General Manager of a Hilton property. There is NO excuse for such poor customer service! Do yourself a favor - stay at a different hotel.

Well I gave the Emily Morgan hotel a 4 because online the room I reservered a standard king room said it had a great soaking tub.. Well it didn't.. But we were able to upgrade to the 2 bed queen room overlooking the Alamo and it does have the soaking tub which is very important to me with how much we were paying for the room with the holiday rates! So we stayed two nights and so when house keeping cleaned our room they didn't replace our robes or our shampoo or towels after I called down to the front desk they sent the things right up but than we also had a sticky bathroom floor.. So really it was great staff and a beautiful room but housekeeping needs to get it together on guests staying multiple days that need supplies restocked!

Great hotel for couples!! We stayed in the king junior suite, and we had the most relaxing time we'd ever had in a hotel. If you're into bathtubs it's honestly the coolest one I've ever been in, it's huge, and square shaped. I got a bath bomb from lush and felt like I was in Harry Potter haha! I'd love to stay again soon!

Great for the history, even if I haven't spotted any ghosts all week! Great restaurant with a solid breakfast. Good accommodations for a DoubleTree. Location is tough to beat. Excellent staff.

If anyone is looking for a great deal on hotels you can check it out on HotelRaven. com Booked a room on there and they had the cheapest rates around

First, I'll start with my complaints: the rooms are relatively small, and they lack some modern amenities.

However, the hotel itself is very nice, and the rooms are well-furnished and very comfortable. Most of them have a good view of San Antonio. The hotel restaurant is nice, but with so many other options nearby, it's unlikely you'll spend much time there!

The hotel is well located, and all of the service staff we interacted with were professional, courteous, and very helpful.
