This was my second visit and delifhtful once again. Charming decor and ambiance with Christmas decorations Concierge most helpful, it was just unfortunate that the shuttle car has a very short travel radius. If you are visiting Charlotte, it is a great stay.

The service was excellent and the staff was knowledgeable about the wine. The atmosphere was not to my liking. I wouldn't consider this to be upscale. It had a very 1970s feel but not in a good way.

Stunning hotel, amazing location. Customer service is even better than the ambiance though. Brianna at the front desk is a superstar. Helped us out of a jam , spent 30 minutes on the phone for us when she really didn't have to. Went way above and beyond.

The Dunhill is a nostalgic hotel that proved to be an excellent choice for a romantic evening celebrating my wife's birthday. We had an 8th floor corner room overlooking Tryon and 6th Street. Although the staff dropped the ball regarding the welcome gift I had arranged a few days prior to be in our room when we arrived, they still offered top customer service. It was a very comfortable room and the hotel is convenient to any place you'd like to walk to Uptown. As a Charlotte native, it's a special historic landmark to enjoy.

Wonderful historic hotel in the heart of Uptown. great bar and cozy rooms. The Asbury restaurant served a tasty dinner, and brunch was even better.

Immediately we were impressed with the staff at The Dunhill Hotel. We were greeted and our bags were taken as soon as we walked in. We were checked in quickly and we were off to our room, which was gorgeous! The bed was big and comfortable, and I don't think I've ever slept so well in any hotel before. The room, as well as the rest of the Hotel, had a wonderful charm and great decor. We had a great breakfast and the staff was always helpful and very friendly. The location may be the best part of the stay. It's located directly beside the Discovery Place and is within walking distance of anything in uptown Charlotte. We really enjoyed our stay and can't wait to stay again, would recommend to anyone.

Service was great-wonderful staff-friendly and welcoming. Location great in downtown Charlotte-5 min walk to Spectrum Center. Complimentary wine, snacks, water, breakfast. Beautiful, clean room. When we visit Charlotte, this is where we will stay.

Breathtaking, historic hotel! Cozy rooms and very clean. Full of history and restored to its original beauty, this is a hotel you must stay in during Charlotte visits.The staff is super friendly and VERY helpful. The parking situation has room to improve but I will definitely stay at the Dunhill again.

Just decided on a whim to check it out and was definitely pleased with my choice!!! Will try my best to book this hotel again for future stays!!! The continental breakfast was way better than most hotels. the food is cooked better, from the eggs to even the oatmeal!!! Not bad at all coming from the oldest hotel in charlotte!!! Very historic place and atmosphere!!

Really lovely! Though the rooms lack a little modernity (like an outlet next to the bed) the staff is great and the breakfast was pretty good too. Would definitely stay there again

A remarkable experience from beginning to end. Here, a classic and cultured ambiance set a stage starring a most poised and experienced staff. Whether having a relaxing stay in their comfortable suites or enjoying a midnight visit to the lounge (Mike, our bartender was PHENOMENAL) - Time spent at The Dunhill is sure to become a favored and time-honored tradition.

Location downtown was great, and we'll within walking distance of multiple attractions. This was good, because parking was hard to come by. The hotel has a garage next to it, but still expect to pay a lot for a car. The room was on the smaller side, but clean and had all the expected amenities. The completely breakfast was so-so, but since it was free, I can't complain much. The staff ran the gamut. Some of them were cheerful and bent over backwards to be helpful, while others were less so. My wife, who arrived earlier than I did had trouble checking in while trying to use my card, and they gave her the run around for almost an hour before it was settled. When I arrived, one of the staff yelled at me (with my 1 year old in the car) about how I was stupid for trying to park in a non hotel reserved spot, even though I was only turning around to get a reserved spot.

The Dunhill Hotel is our new favorite Uptown hotel. From the moment you walk in, you experience the warm Southern hospitality. Everyone is so helpful and friendly. We enjoyed reading the history of the hotel, and that it is not cookie-cutter, like so many other hotels. The property is upscale, but not pretentious. We had a fabulous dinner at Asbury's. The food was delicious and creative. We loved the views from our comfortable, well-appointed room. The location is perfect for exploring Uptown Charlotte. Thank you to Jay Brown for making our stay extra-special.
