good beer selection, with quality, clean theaters and recliner seating. Seats are assigned at time of purchase, making it much more efficient to procure a good seat. You can show up at show time, or just prior if you want snacks. Lines are relatively fast moving
We had purchased tickets in advance, so that went very smoothly. The seats were recliners! Also, we each had our own little "1/2 desk" top that swung out and back. It was ideal for the snack of your choosing. Very comfortable. We would like to go back--just to REALLY relax . . . during a film, of course. 😉
Love this theater! Electric reclining seats w/swivel tray AND cup holder Great beer selection Food is good Management is phenomenal and always willing to accommodate you. For instance, I bought tickets for a show they advertised on the wrong date (it was a Rifftrax live stream so it was only for one night) the tickets even said the wrong date on them So I missed the actual show. They admitted their mistake and gave me passes to anything I wanted to see for every ticket I had purchased. Great people! Great atmosphere! Love it!
Love this theater. It's not usually crowded and the recliners are awesome. Also love there's a bar and having real food options at the concession stand. And you get to add your own butter to the popcorn - never underestimate the ability to get your perfect butter to kernel ratio.
Great place to see a movie. The seats are exceptionally comfortable. They recline and have trays that cover your lap. It is easy to see the screen even with somebody sitting in front of you. They seem to be clean. They have combos for drinks and popcorn. They serve alcohol and basic food bites like pizza and nachos. I enjoy watching movies here. The sound system is good. I've never had a problem at any movie I've seen here. They also have free movies in the upstairs area.
If you haven't read it from other reviews yet, they have the most comfortable seats. Recliner out, headrest tilted slightly back, and enjoy the movie. Oh, and they have Coke Freestyle machines. Don't need much else for the perfect movie night.
My husband and I are from out of state, and were visiting family. We make the trip to Asheville twice a year for just over a week. We love to visit new places each time we are in town, along with some we visit everytime we're in town. On this occasion the tropical storm Nate was visiting at the end of our trip, which is what brought us to your establishment. A nice dreary day indoor activity. the movies.
I don't like to write bad reviews, but even after a week I still find myself irritated by our treatment from your staff. They were so rude. I have never felt more like an inconvenience before in my life. We will never again visit your theater.
Very comfy theater!!! It had leather recliner chairs with their own mini table and you can reserve what seats you want!!! Loved watching a movie here!!!
It's a great place, until you realize there is assign seating. It makes it very difficult when you have a group with you. You're better off someplace else. Honestly, Carolina theatre use to be one of my favorites until they got bought out.
I love the leather recliners that they upgraded too last year. Super comfy and way better than the small seats at most theaters. Also love you can get food besides popcorn and candy. The fries are delicious. My fav theater in Asheville!
There was this older gentleman who took our tickets and really interacted with us, made us feel like friends. It was way cool. Love this place. The recliners are pretty nice too.
Idk if they increased their prices recently, but it seems way more expensive than last year, and they got rid of all the game in the lobby. They also require you to reserve your seat in the lobby, so you actually have no idea if your spot will be good or not. If you end up sitting next to someone annoying, tough luck, you're stuck.
I love this movie theater! In my opinion, it's the best in Asheville. Matinee prices are reasonable, but feature times can see prices as high as $11 per adult (they offer a significant student discount). They have the theater usuals like candies, popcorn, and soda, but they also offer beer and wine. They also offer a decent selection of appetizer type foods as well. They also have powered reclining chairs will built in tables. This is my go to spot for movies in Asheville.
It was my first time to this theater.I was visiting family so we decided to go to see Logan on Sunday 3/19/17. The times were listed incorrectly on Fandango so we were late and missed the beginning of the movie. We thought it started at 6 and it started at 5:30. So we ended up with the 3 recliners on the front row which is awful, break neck. The concession crew were very unfriendly. The movie was very good, what we saw of it anyway. The guy taking the tickets to go into the theater was very nice. The theater was nice and I loved the recliners.(they were helpful since we were in the break neck row) some of the staff behind the concession needs improvement in manners and hospitality , and I will not trust Fandango for times again.
I used to really love this theater, the food, the drinks, and the customer service. I also loved that movies were only five dollars on Tuesdays. However this new reserved seating is ridiculous. It's making getting together to go to the movies with a group of friends way too complicated. We have to buy all of our tickets together so that we can be sure to sit together, especially in a newer movie. So we started buying them online, but now we have to pay service fees. As it movies weren't already expensive enough! It's taking the ease out of going to the movies. Please get rid of this reserved seating business!
