  RCI- FOX DEN 300'S LAKE LURE, NC. 3 STARS LOCATION WAY BACK OF RESORT 1.7 MILES FROM ANYTHING 15 MPH ROAD(GOING ANYWHERE WAS A SNAILS PACE) -4 STARS FOR CUSTOMER SERVICE CHECK IN OFFICE ( RUDEST MOST UNHELPFUL WORKERS), 5 STARS CLEANLINESS, 2 STAR FOR MAINTENANCE (AIR CONDITIONER STOPPED TWO DAYS IN A ROW) POWER WENT OUT TWICE IN BEAUTIFUL WEATHER?), 5 STARS RUMBLING BALD STAFF (THEY WERE THE ONLY POSITIVE OF ALL RCI MISTAKES)
  LAKE WAS AWESOME COULDN'T FIND ANY FISH WAS OFF SEASON NO ONE SAID ANYTHING TO US THAT UNLIKELY TO CATCH FISH TILL WE LEFT, ALSO WHEN WE BOOKED RCI NEVER TOLD US SO LAZY RIVER AND OUTSIDE POOL WAS CLOSED FOR SEASON. UNLESS YOU GOLF OR ENJOY READING I WOULDN'T RECOMMEND THIS RESORT. LOTS OF THINGS TO DO IF YOU DON'T MIND DRIVING FOR MILES TO FIND OUT EVERYTHING IS CLOSED OR OUT OF BUSINESS

  Foxrun/ Den is a large timeshare within the Wyndham Rumbling Bald Resort. The location in the mountains on Lake Lure is stunning.The units are large two bedroom, two bath townhouses or single family style homes with a mountain home look. These are nicely equipped to handle up to 8 people with full kitchens. Unit owners, renters and trade in guests have access to all the resort amenities including two outdoor pools, an indoor pool and exercise room and full service spa. Two on-site restaurants and a cafe offer good food. There are bike rentals, kayaks and SUPBoards on Lake Lure. A new hiking trail has been opened but we haven't explored it. Other restaurants are a few miles away, many exceptionally good. We are owners here and spend a month every year in late summer and love it.

  Unbeknown to use, Wyndham put us into Fox Run. We arrived at 6:15 on a Saturday and reception was closed. it took till almost 7 to figure out that we were at fox run. We barely made it to their front desk before they left. Once we found our unit, we find out our keys don't work. An hour later (8 pm) we finally got let in by maintenance. 1:45 minutes to get into our unit. Dated units from the 70's. Ancient mattress that was so soft and bowed-in we could not use the bed. Unit was dusty, dingy and moldy. The clothes washer didn't work. The unit's phone didn't work. We were in the last unit of an empty series of condos and you had to go up and down 3 long flights of stairs. I was very mad at Wyndham for dumping us in this horrible resort. Worst resort we have ever been in. Not only would I NEVER stay there again but I would warn everyone to avoid this terrible resort. Wyndham resorts are always nice, even exceptional. This place was absolutely horrible.

  Stayed in Fox Run unit 99: 2 bedroom unit with a family of 6. Excellent friendly staff at checkin. Unit was clean and had great amenities. Beautiful views of the mountain and two patios made the stay really nice. Enough space for all of us and a working fireplace. Kids loved the pool and other fun activities. We will definitely be back next year!

  Stayed in units 3313 A&B from July 20 - 28, 2013. Arrived to find the unit FILTHY and in desperate need of updating. Opened the door and got hit with an awful smell of mold / mildew. Didn't even want to touch the refrigerator as so much black dirt was showing on the white refrigerator. Stains all over the bathroom ceiling. AIr vents filthy and rusted. Holes in the walls. Blinds broken on doorwall. The broom that was in the closet was BLACK from dirt. Requested to be moved but was told there weren't any units available. Due to the smell of mold/mildew, asthma flared up & difficult to breathe. Had to leave the unit the next day for 8 hrs so they could "clean the air"; which only worked for 2 days and the awful smell was right back. I would have left had my family & I not spent 13 hrs driving to get here. Last day there, ran the dishwasher in the lower unit to find it leaked all over!! That's probably where the mold/mildew smell is coming from. Place is probably full of black mold. This resort is managed by VACATION RESORTS INTERNATIONAL. I found the staff here (JANET) very unprofessional and difficult to work with. I have pictures of the filth I wish I could share. I don't live like a pig and I sure don't expect to while on vacation either,
