The location was near enough to the strip, and the room was clean and comfortable. The hotel is kind of hard to navigate, but not too confusing. The deep soaking tub is just a regular tub. The hotel gave a breakfast voucher for three dollars off at their restaurant. We didn't eat their though.
Currently remodeling but the room we stayed in was newly renovated and clean. Breakfast was tasty but could have been healthier. Wifi was fast and nice selection of toiletries supplied as well. Also had good coupons and specials if you gambled at the casino.
This is a good place to stay. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. It was actually quiet (in Las Vegas) to sleep on a Saturday night! We got a discount on breakfast and a 2 for 1 beer!
Stayed in a room with double queen-size beds, it was spacious but the bed were horrible. No mattresses on top of the spring mattress which made them hard and uncomfortable. The room was very worn, shower kept dropping, shower curtain hung loose and some tiles were broken. Not the cleanest.
Tiny pool at the back, only visited briefly but looked okay.
It had a fair price, kinda get what you pay for. Very nice location, close to the strip, only a 15 min walk, easy pick-up for taxi or Uber, a 7eleven next door and of course the adjacent casino and bar where they also served breakfast. Breakfast was decent for the price. Bar was very nice, and their own brew was great!
Horrible stay. One bed had a soiled blanket that couldn't be replaced because they had no clean bed linens.
Our room also had no wash cloths. We were told ours was one of four rooms without them because the hotel was inadequately supplied.
A value hotel shouldn't mean sub-par cleanliness standards. That's TOTALLY unacceptable.
We also witnessed the manager behaving quite beligerantly with another guest. She actually called security on him when she was the (quite) hostile party.
Again, completely unacceptable.
Room was big and clean. Staff was helpful. Place is quiet. There is a casino and restaurant on the premises. I didn't like that they charged me a reservation fee but even with that the price was really good. Parking might get crowded but they have additional parking spots in the back of the hotel.
Great combination of reasonable price and proximity to the strip. If you want to safe money and don't mind walking in heat, this place is great. Room are descent and clean. There is an awesome breakfast restaurant next door that serves steak and eggs for $7.99
Great motel! The room was awesome, it had a feel of a 4 star hotel room but for a cheaper price. There is a big parking, plenty of space to park your vehicle. The building has a lot of exits so you don't have to go all the way to the main entrance to exit the motel, you can just go to the nearest exit to access your car easily.
Ellis Island Inn, formerly known as Super 8 Motel, has been a great value hotel. About a 15min walk from the strip, I've been surprised by it's cleanliness. Definitely doesn't have all the bells and whistles of a hotel on the strip but still enjoyed it none the less. Felt like the staff cared, there was a brewery, small casino, and even a restaurant with surprisingly good food. Biggest downside is the towels feel like sandpaper. Overall would recommend.
I stayed for 3 nights. I knew I would arrive early and requested an early check in time. I got a confirmation for the early check in and was denied when I got there. I had to pay an extra $60 for a room that was ready. The mini fridge wasn't clean. Someone spilt something inside. The tub did not drain properly. The AC worked perfectly and was needed for the 100° weather. Room service was prompt, when they were called serval times. They have vending and ice machines. The casino has some really good $5 deals throughout the week. The bar is excellent. Try the root beer! The games are fun and it's a pretty quiet hotel and casino overall.
Rooms were great. Staff was friendly and helpful. Recommended great bars and gift shops nearby. Rooms were spacious. Beds comfortable. 15 min walk from the strip
It is an okay hotelunder construction currently. We played extra to have a room with a refrigerator and a microwave because we knew we would be getting in late and leaving at odd hours. When we arrived we were informed we had been given an "upgrade" I'm not exactly sure what the upgrade was the room is no better or worse than any $35 a night hotel and we payed much more than that to stay here There is also no microwave in the room and when questioned about I was told there are no microwaves in the building. After showing that it was stated on my room reserving as having one all they could tell me is that it should not say that and they would remove the resort fee for one night. Not a huge issue but definitely aggravating. I feel that for the price the hotel could use some work we could have spent our 4 nights in a much nicer higher end casino for only about $100 more for the whole stay
Nice place to stay if you do want the hassle of walking miles from the parking to your rooms. Perfect for a good night sleep. They serve breakfast too which is good.
Nice hotel for being a budget hotel. Not exactly the best area to be walking around but it's quick 5 minute walk. Would recommend if you just need to stay the not. This is not the place to stay if you want the Vegas experience though.
